About the host

Hosted by Justin Montana

Host profile image
For James and Justin, Provincetown is much more than a vacation destination—it is a place filled with memories, friendships, and a deep sense of belonging.

Justin, from Connecticut, attended college in New Hampshire. During two unforgettable summer breaks, he lived and worked in town, managing guest houses, serving as a cocktail waiter at the legendary Boatslip Tea Dance, and bartended at The Patio. Those summers immersed him in the culture of Provincetown creating connections that have kept him returning year after year.

James grew up near Cape Cod spending summer trips enjoying everything that makes Provincetown special from early morning walks along Commercial St. to fun filled nights in town. Long before they met, Provincetown was already a place that held meaning for both of them.

After beginning a relationship in 2017, James and Justin built a life together moving to Chicago in early 2020 to pursue their careers. James works in marketing, and Justin is an air traffic controller. They married in April 2025, and throughout the years, Provincetown remained their favorite place to reconnect, celebrate milestones, and escape the pace of everyday life.

Owning a home in Provincetown was a dream they shared for many years. They fell in love not only with the town’s beauty, but also with its welcoming community, vibrant arts scene, rich history, and enduring spirit of authenticity. Whether it’s biking through the dunes, spending an afternoon at Herring Cove, enjoying a sunset sail, or simply gathering with friends for a cocktail after a day at the beach, Provincetown has always felt like home.

They are honored to share their home with guests and hope it becomes a place where others can create their own Provincetown memories. Whether you are visiting for the first time or returning to a beloved annual tradition, they hope your stay is filled with relaxation, adventure, laughter, and the unmistakable magic that makes Provincetown unlike anywhere else in the world.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because it places us within easy walking distance of many of our favorite Provincetown destinations. Over the years, we’ve developed a deep appreciation for the West End and its unique blend of charm, convenience, and community.

Some of our favorite nearby spots include the legendary Boatslip, the historic A-House, Victor’s, Relish, the Provincetown Inn Pool, and the Red Inn Restaurant. Whether we’re meeting friends for cocktails, enjoying a sunset dinner on the water, spending an afternoon by the pool, or simply taking a stroll through town, we love being close to so many of the places that have become part of our Provincetown tradition.

One of the best parts of staying here is being able to leave the car parked and explore on foot. The neighborhood offers easy access to many of Provincetown’s most beloved restaurants, nightlife, beaches, galleries, and attractions while still maintaining the relaxed atmosphere that makes the West End such a special place to call home.

What makes this property unique

One of the things we love most about this home is that it allows us to fully experience the unique charm of Provincetown while being part of one of the most vibrant and welcoming LGBTQIA+ communities in the world.

As New Englanders, Provincetown has always held a special place in our hearts. With family and close friends throughout the region, many of our favorite memories have been made here. We often fly into Boston Logan International Airport, visit loved ones across New England, and then make the scenic drive to the tip of Cape Cod. Having dedicated off-street parking is a tremendous advantage in Provincetown and allows us to leave the car behind and enjoy everything the walkable town has to offer.

When we first saw this property, we knew it was different. Of the four residences in the building, ours is the only one with a second floor, giving it the feel of a true home rather than a typical hotel room. The two-level layout creates a wonderful separation between living and sleeping spaces, providing extra comfort, privacy, and room to relax.

We also fell in love with the outdoor space. Whether enjoying morning coffee, an afternoon in the sun, or evening cocktails with friends after a day at the beach, it’s the perfect place to unwind and embrace the Provincetown lifestyle.

For us, Provincetown is more than a destination it’s a community that celebrates individuality, creativity, and connection. We are delighted to share our home and hope it becomes the backdrop for your own unforgettable Provincetown memories.
