Beautiful, comfortable cottage "Peter’s Shed", detached, surrounded by meadows. On the outskirts, 6 km from the centre of Drumnadrochit, in a secluded, quiet, elevated position, 6 km from the lake. Private: large garden lawn. Patio, garden furniture. Pre-arrival grocery service. 300 m long steep, narrow motor access. 4x4 car recommended in winter. Parking at the house. Shop 6 km, grocery 6 km, supermarket 25 km, shopping centre 25 km, restaurant 6 km, bar 6 km, bakery 1 km, café 6 km, bus stop "Loch Ness Inn" 6 km, railway station 25 km. Golf course (18 hole) 20 km. Nearby attractions: Urquhart Castle 6 km, Loch Ness 6 km, Loch Ness Exhibition Centre 6 km, Fort Augustus 30 km, Jacobite Boat Trips 6 km. Hiking paths: Great Glen Way 100 m. Please note: car recommended. The owner does not accept any groups.
4-room cottage on 2 levels. Spacious and bright, tasteful and cosy furnishings: open living room with TV (flat screen), wood-burning stove. Exit to the patio. 1 children's room with 2 beds. Open kitchen (4 hot plates, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave, freezer, grill). Bath/shower/WC. Upper floor: 1 double bedroom with 1 double bed. 1 double bedroom with 1 double bed and shower. Sleeping alcove with 1 bed. Sep. WC. Wood heating. Marvellous panoramic view of the lake and the valley. Facilities: washing machine, baby cot for up to 2 year olds, hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Parking at the house. Please note: suitable for families. Maximum 2 pets/ dogs allowed. TV only EN. Smoke alarm. Instead of an enclosed bedroom, some sleeping areas are located in an open-plan area (gallery, alcove, etc.).

Breathtaking!

This is quite simply a spectacular location! Sitting high above the banks of Loch Ness, we were just in awe of the view of the loch and the surrounding hillsides. It was the highlight of our trip! The cabin itself was well-equipped to house our family comfortably, making everyone feel quite at home. We even had Pizza Night courtesy of “The Italian Job” pizza place in Drumnadrochit and watching the “Loch Ness” DVD that was in the house. Starring Ted Danson! (Who knew?) Note that you are definitely “off the grid” here with no wifi and limited cell service, but for goodness sake put down your phone and look out the window! It’s a wonder like you’ve never seen! Also, the drive up and down the unpaved road to get here is a bit of a thrill. Just take your time and you’ll be fine!

traumhaft schöne Lage, sehr abgelegen und ruhig mit einem tollen Blick auf Loch Ness. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, sogar Waschmittel und Spültabs in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Endlich mal eine Ferienwohnung mit genügend Besteck, so dass man nicht nach jeder Malzeit die Messer spülen muss. Großer Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach. Leider kein WLAN und nur eingeschränkter Empfang.

Wir waren überwiegend zufrieden

Das Haus hat eine eine top Lage und war ausreichend groß. Es gab zwei Dinge, die uns negativ aufgefallen sind. Im Erdgeschoss war die Dusche defekt,es kam kein warmes Wasser. Man konnte die Dusche aufdrehen und es kam gar kein Wasser aus der Dusche. Zweitens gab es kein W-lan. Der Handyempfang war ansonsten auch nur sehr schlecht bis gar nicht vorhanden. Positiv zu bewerten ist, dass die Küche gut ausgestattet war. Es waren ausreichend Besteck und Töpfe in der Küche.
