Q-Hut House is a cute and modern home, one block away from downtown Talkeetna

A bright and happy environment only a very short walk from downtown Talkeetna. Wake up to a fully stocked coffee and tea station, snacks, and comfortable sitting spaces. Everything you need to cook your own meals is provided or experience all the fantastic food offered only a block away. The local favorite Tepee Bar is right around the corner. The living room is furnished with beautiful and comfortable furniture, Wi-Fi, a Bluetooth sound system, and a Bluetooth smart projector. The black remote/switch on the wall between the blackboard and bedroom door controls the ceiling fan/light, and the white remote/switch under it is controls the living room night lights (black lamps). The main bedroom has a comfortable double (full) bed, closet with hangers, dresser, luggage stand, phone chargers, sleep lamps, and blackout curtains. The loft has a double bed and sitting area. The couch is deep enough to comfortably sleep a fifth guest when the back cushions are removed, pillows and blankets are provided. Clothing washer and dryer are located in the bathroom. The driveway has room to park two vehicles, while you explore everything downtown Talkeetna has to offer on foot. I provide a free drink token to one of three downtown bars for each day of your stay and partially fulfilled punch cards for Mountain High Pizza. You can get another stamp on one and put it back so a future guest can get a free pizza, or if one of them is full you can get the free pizza yourself. Feel free to tack local menus, event flyers, or any other Talkeetna related information on the cork board that you feel future guests can benefit from.

Doug was a great host! His property is very clean and with meticulously curated decor. EXCELLENT location, walkable to EVERYTHING! Doug was very flexible meeting us to show us around the property. Would love to stay again. He even went out of his way to help me look for a fishing tour!

This place far exceeded my expectations. It was a block off Main St. so you could be at all of the restaurants within a 3 minute walk. The layout was fantastic and it easily fit my wife and I and are adult daughter. We loved watching Netflix on the projection tv! We will definitely be repeat guest at this property. I highly recommend!!!

Location was fantastic right in town very easy to walk from the main street to the house. Great parking spot right out front on the driveway. Great touches with the coffee selections and tea selection and popcorn. The corkboard was also a super cool idea that made the place feel more like a quaint village. We came on a couple rainy days, and the host provided umbrellas for guests. Overall, a very thoughtful host.

The Q Hut House was such a cute stay! We loved the pops of color throughout the house, and the open floor plan with high ceilings made the whole space feel roomy. The downstairs bed was super comfy — can't speak to the loft, but everything else exceeded expectations. It was a warm weekend, and the ceiling fan plus the bedroom fan kept things comfortable. The location was a huge plus too, just a quick walk to Main St. for food and supplies. We also appreciated having piping hot water and the convenience of an in-bathroom washer and dryer. Overall, a great stay — we'd love to come back!
