5 stars — Exactly as pictured, and a host who made the trip!!What really made the trip was our host. She greeted us when we arrived, which immediately set the tone, and she’d left out snacks for us, somehow the exact kind we like, without us ever mentioning it. That small touch told us everything about how much thought she put into hosting.She was gracious and generous with her time, giving us a whole list of tips about the island: where to eat, which spots were worth the drive, and a few places we never would have found on our own. Every one of her recommendations was spot on.She went above and beyond in every way. The place was beautiful and as shown on the pictures - all brand new!! We’d book again in a heartbeat and recommend this place to anyone.

The Mermaid Loft is the perfect haven to stay in for a visit to Martha's Vineyard. The property has everything a traveller would need for a 5* relaxing break and it is the little extras that made the stay so delightful. Having never visited the island before and arriving late into the evening, it was a wonderful relief to see the welcome snacks and chilled water on arrival as well as the smiling face of the lovely host. Nothing was too much trouble and the apartment was so clean, we wondered if we were the first ever guests to visit! The parking is right next to the apartment in a lovely neighbourhood and included in the price. There were little special touches such as the mermaid drawer handles, the beautifully tiled bathroom, the vineyard map and the wonderfully deep sink that made it feel luxurious throughout the whole stay. Would l recommend? 100%! Would we want to return? Absolutely!!
