The private boathouse has room to dock your boat and WaveRunners and includes kayaks, a paddle boat, a lily pad, and floating rings for guests to enjoy. The water at the shoreline is approximately 3½ feet deep, offering a comfortable spot for swimming and water play; children should always be actively supervised near the water.
Inside, the rec room is ready for rainy days and friendly competition, with a pool table, skee-ball, a mini refrigerator and microwave for snacks, plenty of board games, and a large-screen TV for movie nights.
The fully stocked kitchen makes group meals easy, while the inviting living area features a large sectional sofa and plenty of space to gather after a day on the lake. It was a great location, the boat dock was great place to hang out and fish or float on the lilly pads, all the kids had a great time. Short boat ride to main lake. Everything was really good and clean and easy check in and out. Host was really accommodating.

Beautiful house very clean. Enjoyed the bonus room with the pool table. Lake access wasn’t the best. Lots of seaweed in lake since it’s at the end of the cove.

Nothing makes us happier than hearing guests say their kids didn’t want to leave or that they finally got the peaceful getaway they needed.
We live in the Raleigh area, so Lake Gaston has always been our favorite close to home escape. It’s the perfect blend of convenience and calm — close enough for an easy drive, yet peaceful enough to feel like a true vacation. Sharing this special spot with others is one of the reasons we love hosting.

Why they chose this property

We selected this wide cove that offers peace and tranquility. The main lake is only minutes from our lakefront home.

Our fully outfitted, covered boathouse provides shaded seating and a bar area with a refrigerator, making it the perfect place to spend the entire day lakeside — from sunrise to sunset. At the dock, guests can enjoy included water toys, a lily pad, floats, kayaks, and a paddle boat for endless fun on the water. There is plenty of room to dock your boat or wave runners.

The cove offers safe, shallow water for kids while still providing deep water for boats, giving everyone a place to enjoy the lake comfortably. An accessible walkway makes it easy to get down to the water and enjoy everything the property has to offer.

As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit and enjoy an evening of laughter, stories, and roasting marshmallows under the stars.
