About this property

Bluff View Overlooking Sequatchie Valley. 2 King Beds + Hot Tub

Named after our daughter, Dakota, Dakota Ridge at Sequatchie is a peaceful ridge-top retreat overlooking Tennessee’s beautiful Sequatchie Valley. What began as a family dream has become a place to slow down, reconnect, and make lasting memories. Enjoy breathtaking bluff views, stunning sunsets, and the tranquility of mountain living while experiencing one of the region’s most scenic overlook.

The space
Escape to the peace and quiet of Dakota Ridge at Sequatchie, a private mountainside retreat designed for guests looking to unplug, relax and enjoy nature. Perched on a secluded ridge, you'll experience breathtaking views, abundant wildlife, and the serenity of being away from crowds. (Pro tip: Bring your telescope if you've got one!)

Please note we are a in a remote rural location. The drive includes winding mountain roads and nearby conveniences are limited. The nearest gas station is approximately 17 minutes away, and nearest Dollar General is about 20 minutes away, so we recommend picking up groceries and essentials before you arrive.

Sleeping Arrangements:
- Main floor Primary Suite: one king bed with private en-suite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower.
- Second floor loft: One king bed, one queen sleeper sofa, and one twin ottoman sleeper. This is an open loft with no bedroom door, making it ideal for families or groups who don't mind sharing a common sleeping space. The loft also has a small private bathroom with walk-in shower.
- Enjoy the views on a partially-covered, 30' outside patio with a gas fire pit, luxury hot tub, plenty of seating, outside dining, outdoor gas grill and more.

What to expect:
-Two story home with stairs between main level and loft.
- Sleeps up to 7 guests
- Two private bathrooms, each with a shower.
- Quiet setting with plenty of privacy.
- Nature is part of the experience. You may encounter deer, birds, insects and other native wildlife.

Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the entire home and surrounding outdoor living areas during their stay. Enjoy complete privacy while taking in the beautiful ridge views from the outdoor seating areas and other designate spaces.

For your safety, please stay within the marked guest areas and designated paths. The property is situated on a bluff with steep terrain beyond the maintained areas. Climbing over barriers, or entering restricted areas is prohibited.

The home features convenient self check-in with a smart lock, allowing you to arrive at your leisure after check-in time.

The property is located in a remote mountain setting, so drive carefully, especially after dark or during inclement weather.

Other things to note

The road leading to the retreat is gravel and is subject to changing conditions due to weather. Heavy rain may create ruts, potholes, washboarding, loose gravel, or other uneven surfaces. Drive slowly and use caution. Four-wheel drive is not required, but all vehicles should exercise caution.

Remote Mountain Retreat Notice:
Dakota Ridge is designed for guests seeking peace, privacy, and breathtaking views. While that seclusion is part of its charm, it also means nearby conveniences are limited.

What makes this property unique

The star of the show is the gorgeous view!! The sky is always changing. We love watching the clouds roll by, the fog come-and-go and the birds play in the wind. And then at night, the stars pop out 1 by 1.
