Welcome to Camp Ollie!

Escape to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and make yourself at home at Camp Ollie, a cozy mountain getaway conveniently located just 13 minutes from Appalachian State University and minutes from everything Boone and the High Country have to offer.

Whether you’re visiting for a college weekend, a family vacation, a ski trip, or simply looking to slow down and enjoy the mountains, Camp Ollie is the perfect home base.

After a day of exploring, come home and relax in the private hot tub, gather around the outdoor fire pit, or enjoy dinner outside on the patio. Fire up the grill, grab a seat, and take in the peaceful mountain surroundings.

The property also offers seasonal mountain views, giving you a beautiful backdrop as the seasons change—from lush summer greenery to spectacular fall colors and winter mountain scenery. The home is located on a dirt road. We do recommend vehicles with 4 wheel drive during the winter months!


Camp Ollie comfortably accommodates families and groups with 4-6 guests:

Camp Ollie is a fantastic home base for a winter getaway, with several High Country ski resorts within easy driving distance:

* Appalachian Ski Mountain: approximately 5 miles
* Sugar Mountain Resort: approximately 17 miles
* Beech Mountain Resort: approximately 26 miles

Appalachian Ski Mountain is the closest and is especially convenient for a quick day on the slopes. Sugar Mountain offers some of the largest ski terrain in the area, while Beech Mountain is the highest ski resort in the eastern United States. (Squarespace)

This was a nice place to stay and Karli was great! There were cards and coffee and tea and all the things we needed. The kids loved the fire pit.

What makes this property unique

Camp Ollie is the perfect get away for a small group or couples retreat. It feels private and has a backyard you can take a long walk in. It's the perfect place to cozy up with your family and play bored games or hangout in the hot tub. It's the perfect backdrop for so many new memories!
