About this property

Spacious 1000sf Apt for 8 in Farm House in Grand Staircase, Bryce Canyon

Watch the first pink rays of sunrise light up the rim of Bryce Canyon as you gaze out the lofty windows of this spacious second-story vacation suite. Situated in the heart of peaceful Henrieville valley, this large farm home is nestled between its own little creek and mini-wilderness area on one side and tranquil farm land on the other.

Just off Scenic Highway 12, down a private gravel drive and past grandpa’s old pasture, you’ll pass through beautiful flower and vegetable gardens (in season) and park in the rear of the home. You’ll have private outside stairway access to the spacious 1000 square foot loft apartment with its many windows and panoramic mountain views.

The suite’s open floor plan creates a casual, relaxing atmosphere that will accommodate your entire family or group in comfort—or keep the entire suite for just the two of you! Vaulted ceilings, faux antique walls, knotty aspen ceilings, and rustic post and beam accents provide a spacious, homey feeling throughout. You can cook your own meals in the fully furnished kitchen, or eat out at one of several seasonal restaurants a few miles away. You’ll find the two full baths and washer/dryer handy for cleaning up after a long day of outdoor excitement.

When you return to the house to rest from your adventures, curl up on the comfortable couches in the great room to watch a favorite movie on the flat-screen TV and DVD player, or surf the web and send pictures of your unforgettable experiences to your friends and family at home using the free wi-fi access.

The grounds around this home include a large, grassy area (Sunrise Hollow) for your recreational use. Kids will enjoy playing games on the grass, using the swing set, going down the sixteen-foot tube slide, or exploring the nearby creek. Soak in the ambiance of warm summer evenings around the outdoor fire pit as you toast marshmallows and watch the stars appear. Your memories of this rural home setting will make you want to return again and again!

Located in the center of Utah’s red rock country, you will find some of the most breathtaking views in America within easy driving distance. In addition to seeing the wonders of Bryce Canyon National Park and the Grand Staircase National Monument, several interesting State parks are nearby. Perfect for our final 2 days of a 9 day Utah trip. Great location close enough to town (Tropic) but remote enough to see the stars at night. Comfortable beds, large kitchen/dining/living room, huge washer/dryer. Super close to many hikes only a few miles away: Willis Creek a favorite. Would definitely stay again.

The upstairs apartment home is roomie and is situated between Escalante and Bryce national Park. We were in a location to see much of the whole area. The upstairs apartment is nothing fancy, but met our needs perfectly.

Spacious, great large table for eating and working. Two full bathrooms was a plus – as were the nightlights. Hosts very responsive to our inquiries about hiking in the area. Directions were excellent. Décor could use a bit of an update, but was entirely comfortable.

Why they chose this property

We built our initial home here in 2009, and the upstairs addition was finished in 2014. Our home is located on what used to be the Rose family farm of approximately 70 acres. I (Milt) grew up here, working the farm as a youngster with my dad and brothers. The farm has long since been divided up among family members, and the old corrals and barn in the hollow next to our home (Sunrise Hollow) had to be torn down, but the area still retains its peaceful atmosphere. Most of our 20 acres lie to the south of the house and consist of wild thickets, brush and trees. The property is bounded 1/2 mile to the south by Henrieville Creek and is bisected near the house by another small creek locals refer to as Henrieville Wash.
