About this property
Charming Country Bunkhouse with 2 bedrooms, sleeps 6. (12 miles from Bryce.)
Cannonville is located under the eastern escarpment of Bryce Canyon National Park. It is off of Scenic Byway 12, just 12 miles past Bryce Canyon. Our area is surrounded by red rock outcroppings. Kodachrome State Park is located 10 miles down our main road in town. The Bunk House includes two queen beds and a bunkbed in about 900 square feet. We include a Pack n Play for babies. The large bathroom includes tub and shower and changing area. The bathroom/dressing room is supplied with plush towels, and other amenities. The beds are comfortable with fresh pressed linens upon your arrival. There is a small kitchenette with dishes, utensils, pots and pans and a sink. The toaster/oven is convenient. A small refrigerator (no freezer) includes water and basic condiments. Fresh baked Chocolate Chip Cookies welcome guests to our Country Bunkhouse. There is an available grill if needed outside. (request before arriving) The Country Bunkhouse includes a 55 inch Television screen for TV programs and DVD's, Blue Ray/games as well as a 45” TV in the second bedroom. Several DVD's (family oriented) are included as well as board games/puzzles and children's toys. The Country Bunkhouse has large ceiling fans and a brand new Air Conditioning system. Forced air heating is very efficient. We don't have many extremely hot days and our nights are cool and beautiful. Sleeping with open windows is safe here. However, winter is cold and often snowy. Our night sky is stunning, if you have time to sit on the swing outside to enjoy it. The Grand Staircase Visitors Center is in the center of town near the town park for questions about hikes, weather and places to go. Don’t hesitate to ask us (the Scoffield’s) for any suggestions or for any items you might need.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property It was better than expected. It had everything we could have possibly wanted ! The owner was kind and honest. I would definitely recommend staying here
Cherie was a wonderful host. Pumpkin bread waiting for us, a very well stocked kitchen, a comfortable bed and bedding, great shower. One of the nicer places we have ever stayed.
We enjoyed our stay at the Country Bunk House. We had everything we needed, easy access to Bryce Canyon. The Bunkhouse was clean and had off street parking. The pumpkin bread was wonderful.
Very cute cottage with beautiful views. The place was really clean and roomy for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teenagers). Ver clean with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.
Great experience! The hosts had left us home made apple bread and notes, making us feel very welcome and comfortable. Pantry/fridge was stocked with helpful items so it was easy to prepare meals in the kitchenette. Beds were incredibly comfortable (I even noted the brand because I want to get the same for my house). Nice spaces to sit outside as well. Very convenient to Bryce Canyon and Willis Creek slot canyon (a gem - recommend going early). But the best was how helpful, caring and responsive the host was when we had a minor medical emergency.
We absolutely loved our stay in Cannonville, with it's rich pioneer heritage. Cherie and her husband were so kind to our family, and were there to help with whatever we needed. We felt well taken care of. We really enjoyed the quaint feel of the town, and the cottage was adorable, clean, comfortable, and so inviting. I would highly recommend their home!

Highly recommend, Very clean, quiet, comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our stay
The country cottage has all the special touches to make your stay memorable from pressed sheets, awesome smelling sheets and towels and high end toiletries and home baked pumpkin bread. A book of great trails for hiking was provided as well as nearby restaurants. We were initially surprised that there is only a kitchenette but it contained everything needed to eat breakfast and dinner in the cottage. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed and will feel spoiled.
We had a great time at the Bunkhouse. The host was very thoughtful for guest needs. Location is perfect for visiting the Bryce Canyon.
Would definitely come here again.
We came to hike at Bryce Canyon. The Country Bunkhouse was a perfect place for me and two teenaged boys. The place was very clean and the hosts were amazing! It was about a 25 min to Bryce Canyon. We enjoyed our stay!
Roomy, quiet, nicely furnished, pleasant host, and wonderful access to Bryce and other hikes.

About the host
Hosted by Cherie Scoffield
We inherited this 100 year old property and moved here in 2003. We are retired, and working locally. My husband is the Garfield County Tourism Representative around the world for our beautiful area. We raised seven children and now have 19 grandchildren. We were born and raised in Utah but lived in several other states. My husband is a Navy Captain and is very patriotic. We love yard work, hiking, the canyon, and the close knit community we live in.
Why they chose this property
We go to great lengths to insure you a wonderful stay at the Country Bunkhouse. The Bunkhouse sparkles and we deep clean after every guest. We respect your privacy and welcome children. A swing set is available for use and large lawn area for other games. We have a fire circle out beyond the Bunkhouse with a stage for family performances. Guest are welcome to use it upon request. We will provide the wood and matches for the fires.
What makes this property unique
Our home is located under the escarpment of Bryce Canyon which is 12 miles away. The drive to and from is always an enjoyable one. The views from our home feature red rock formations and the white mountains as well as the small town country setting with sheep, cows, horses etc. It is a peaceful small town of only 150-200 residents, quiet, beautiful and a place of healing from the noise and crowds and fast pace of city life.
