I've been coming up to Portage Lake for decades and usually stay with family a few houses down, but we were full, and this cozy home was very welcoming and comfortable
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was equipped with everything for our stay including fresh towels, clean linens and utensils and even shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic. WiFi worked seamlessly. Owner was communicative and helpful. Thank you so much!
We loved the cottage the only problem was it was not clean when we arrived. My wife spent an hour cleaning the bathroom before she would even use it, the fridge and counter tops were not clean and lots of cob webs. We also had to use products to cover up the dog smell.

I am so sorry that the cottage was not cleaned to your satisfaction. I will definitely have a word with our cleaning staff to ensure that this will not happen again. I am a bit confused about the dog smell. We do allow pets, but the carpets had been professionally cleaned at the start of the season and we had not had any guests with dogs as of your arrival. I do live close by and provide my personal cell to all of our guests. I would have been happy to address any of your concerns had I been made aware of them. We take pride in our cottages and I am very disappointed that they were not up to our normal standards. Thank you for your feedback. Your concerns will be addressed with our cleaning service immediately.
Little home away from home - even have the same countertops! Wonderful getaway, peaceful, clean, friendly community. Love coming here and will certainly come again.
We love staying at this nice little cottage. It is quiet and away from the touristy areas but a close enough drive to shop and sightsee.

My 2nd stay here. The location is ideal for a relaxing vacation at the beach on Lake Michigan and to drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes. So glad my pup is welcome also! My BFs first trip to Onekama and he loved the area! Hope to return soon! Perfect for 2 people and my furkid!
Charming town and so happy I found this great cottage. Nice hosts, clean, comfortable and we were able to bring my two small dogs. Both lakes are amazing! I definitely plan to return.
Exactly what we were looking for, a cute little cabin/dollhouse nestled away in northern Michigan. Amenities were perfect, location was excellent, quiet and relaxing. Host was very responsive, place was kept clean, and we had everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Great Cozy cottage, has all you need!
We had a great stay with our little family in this cozy cottage. Right across from the lake and 5 minutes to the Portage Point Inn, where we attended a wedding. It was a perfect location for our short stay, and wished it could have been longer.
Thanks for sharing your sweet home!

One of our very favorite things is to see our families return year after year. As always, it was delightful to have you and we look forward to seeing you again.
This cottage is located perfectly ... a few of Portage Lake out the front door, 3 minutes walk to public access to Lake Michigan. You can stroll down to Portage Point Resort for a pizza or ice cream, or drive to the Heathlands golf course in 10 minutes. Perfect for us!

The house has everything you could possibly need, it was clean and comfortable. A short walk and you were at the lake,. I liked that I could walk a half mile in one direction to get to Lake Michigan walk down the beach and come up at a different spot and walk another half mile to complete the circle. I would definitely book this property again.
