About this property

Well maintained 4 bed/4 bath house in quiet area

This 6th row, 2,000 square foot, 4 bedroom / 4 bath, half-duplex, beach house is located on the ocean side of the main road (Emerald Drive) and a short walk to two community beach access walkways. The area is very quiet and, due to the configuration of the roads, there is very little traffic.

A large sound side boat access and public park, with pier, is a short walk away. Chapel by the Sea church is also in this area.

The beach is far from the crowded areas of Emerald Isle, yet only a short drive, or bike ride, from shopping and restaurants.

Cable TV and wireless internet service are provided. There are three flat screen TV's. One in the great room, one in the bunk bed room, and one in the downstairs game room. The game room includes a pool table and there is an extra refrigerator in the garage.

Three bedrooms are located on the second floor, with the fourth bedroom on the 3rd floor, near the living area. Two bedrooms have private access to a bathroom. The first floor game room includes a sofa and access to a full bathroom. Bed linens, bath and kitchen towels are provided.

A gas grill, beach chairs, Jamis beach cruiser bicycles, boogie boards, various beach toys, and a beach cart are provided.

A Great Place to Stay

Andy was great to rent from! The house was super clean and plenty big enough for our group of 10! A short walk to the beach and pool table for fun when it’s raining!

Best vacation rental ever!

We have been renting vacation rentals for the past 32 years and this was the best we have rented. Positives were cleanliness, well equipped kitchen, bikes and beach supplies, easy walking to beach access, and quiet area. It was such a good fit for our family and we had a great week!

Another Emerald Isle Stay (44 years!)

My family has been staying on this island for a week every summer since 1980. We've stayed at many spots--but the Vitamin Sea is easily one of our favorite spots we had. Andy goes above and beyond.

Quiet location and well appointed

We loved this property from the very first four minute walk to the beach. The neighborhood is peaceful and a ten minute drive gets you to a large number of restaurants and shops. We visited Wilmington, Cape Lookout national seashore and several local state parks within an hour and an half drive. We visited with our elementary aged children, plus visits from grandparents and an auntie, and never felt cramped for space. All the little things were thought of, down to hand soap and plush towels, night lights and fans. The living area was well arranged and the kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of dishes, utensils, cookware. Everything was clean and well cared for, we would love to come back and stay again in the future.

Perfect!

The location is a very short walk to the beach; the unit is divided nicely which affords privacy for groups or individuals; great extras such as bikes, beach chairs, hammock, and game room. We enjoyed cooking meals in the fully stocked kitchen and hanging out on the porch(es). Would definitely recommend and would most certainly stay again!

Super amazing place to stay!

This house was one of the best we've ever booked. It has plenty of space for a large family. Everything we needed was already there right down to all the beach toys and gear. There was even a big beach wagon to haul stuff down for the day. The hosts were very accommodating with a couple of requests. The kids even made sure the hosts know how "Amazing" they think this house is.

Great beach house

We enjoyed our week at Emerald Isle in the Vitamin Sea. There was plenty of space for our large crew. We most appreciated the outdoor shower, bicycles and boogie boards available for use. Also, it was a nice treat for the linens to be already on the beds and towels folded and ready for use. We loved the open air main living space and the teenagers enjoyed the pool table. We can't wait until next year to return to our favorite beach!

Great for families.

This house came loaded with unexpected extras. Tons of beach chairs and a beach friendly wagon. Beach toys, buckets, boogie boards and bicycles for the whole family. The swinging chairs on the balcony were great for afternoon naps. The kitchen was really well stocked and had loads of tupperware containers for storing food. It was a great place to stay and a really short easy walk to the beach.

Very well equipped kitchen. AC unit works beautifully. Lots of beach toys and bikes for everyone. Fairly new propane grill. Easy access to beach. Good outdoor hosing area for beach sand, washing car etc. Be aware kitchen is on top level (2 flights up).

Another wonderful stay!

This was our second stay at Vitamin Sea, and we loved it just as much as last year. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to have most family meals in. We had a bit of rain during our week and the pool table was a life saver - it kept everyone occupied while we waited for the weather to clear up. During booking and prior to our arrival, Andy was easy to communicate with and very helpful. When we had one small issue in the house (a beeping smoke detector) he addressed the problem immediately and with good cheer. Definitely recommend this rental!

great place

The house was close to everything! A short walk to the beach with easy access. Plenty of chairs, beach toys,bicycles, and even a wagon to carry it all was provided. Well equipped kitchen. Loved to decks on both 2nd and 3rd levels.Bed situation great for multiple family members. Great floor plan. Best part was the giant sand lot next to the house. Our grandchildren loved playing there! Also the outside shower was nice.Quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. We enjoyed to entire stay.

Keeps getting better!

This was our family’s third stay at Vitamin Sea and it is always a pleasure. The house is consistently well-stocked with necessities in the kitchen and is clean and beautiful. There was new outdoor furniture which we were able to enjoy with especially cool evenings - I loved using the third story deck to show my kids constellations, Jupiter, and Saturn. The cottage is a quick walk to the beach and this year we were lucky enough to see baby loggerhead sea turtles leave their nest! I love staying at this cottage and always look forward to our next visit. Andy is easy to work with and ensures a exceptional stay every time.

Vitamin Sea was absolutely beautiful!

Vitamin Sea was absolutely beautiful and our family of 7 adults and 2 small children fit in it wonderfully! It was loaded with extras that made our stay even more enjoyable! It was a short walk to the beach that did become a little hard at times only because we were taking some much with us. If you’re a light traveler to the beach it would be no problem😁The property was very clean and everything appeared almost brand new. The second refrigerator in the garage was perfect for all our extra beverages for the week! We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Vitamin Sea!!

Wonderful location on Emerald Isle

The house was wonderful. .It was perfect for our family reunion. My family and my 2 nieces families were very comfortable. The kitchen and dining area seat about 12 people and there is seating outside on deck next to kitchen .The beach is just a short walk. Lots of beach toys and boogies boards to use. Outside shower was really nice to have. We were very happy with the location on Emerald Isle- it was just where we wanted to be .Close to grocery store, restaurants, seafood market !! Beach was quiet area no crowds. We would highly recommend this home and the owner, Andy, was very quick to respond to any questions. We stayed Aug.17-21, 2016

We have been coming to E.I. for years and stayed in several rentals. The Vitamin Sea didn't disappoint. Four nicely equipped bedrooms with 4 full baths. Everything was done for us prior to our arrival. The beds were made and fresh towels in every room. We love to cook and the kitchen had ample space to accommodate a large family with its center bar area. With a large party of 8 we had plenty of room to relax on the 2 decks. The best part was access to bikes and a wagon to haul our beach chairs and umbrellas. It was literally a 4 minute walk to the beach. We were sad to leave but look forward to another great stay next year.

Best week of the year

This was our third year at Vitamin Sea and our 27th year at Emerald Isle. The Andersons have a lovely house. There are four large bedrooms (one on the top floor and three on the second floor) and a first floor level den with a sofa bed and pool table. The bedrooms have all new furniture this year and a new refrigerator in the kitchen. We always appreciate the use of the beach chairs, coaster bikes, boogie boards and sand toys. The home is a quick 3-5 minute walk to the beach. Hurricane Isaias visited this year and we were so appreciative for Andy's phone calls and updates -- and the house's new roof - we barely heard the storm. Also, the home was very clean and all the towels and linens were ready on the beds when we arrived. Thank you for taking care of us again this year! We can't wait until next year.

Easy and accurate

This was the first time I have obtained a rental in Emerald Isle and Andy was absolutely wonderful to work with. I had several questions from the beginning and he was always very quick to respond. The listing was accurate and our group of 6 had more than enough space! The walk to the beach wasn't bad; however, the steps at the beach access made it a bit difficult for the wagon. There was another access but we just stuck to the closest one. The extra frig in the garage was perfect for holding the extra drinks for the beach and the outside shower was nice. Kitchen was also full of extras. I have rented many times at other locations and this has been my best pick yet. I would definitely return! Thank you Andy for giving us the opportunity!

EI Beach Fun

Our family of 9 had a great stay this year at EI. This is the second year we've stayed in this house and our 24th year at EI. The home is clean, bright and relaxing. There are plenty of dishes in the kitchen for meals and a large pantry to store groceries. Linens are provided and the beds are made when you arrive. The garage is full of beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys. The 4 coaster bikes were used to travels between houses of our other family members. The beach is just a short walk away. One bedroom and full bath is on the top floor and the other three bedrooms and two baths are on the middle floor. The bottom floor has another full bath and the pool table room that has a Q sleeper sofa. We have enjoyed our time at this home. Andy is very responsive to any and all questions during our stay. Thank you!

Beautiful property in a great location!

We have absolutely nothing but praise for Andy's beautiful home. Prior to our trip, all communication with Andy was easy and professional. We had full instructions for arrival in hand well in advance and had no difficulty accessing the property when we got to Emerald Isle. Everything was immaculate when we arrived. The interior is lovely in fresh and bright colors and beach themed decor throughout. We had stayed in a home through a realty company last year and had to purchase so many items for the kitchen upon our arrival. I was thrilled to see an exceptionally well-stocked kitchen with every utensil we would need, but also with those small, but necessary things, like salt and pepper, cooking spray, and a variety of spices. It may seem like a simple thing but it really was just one of the examples of the touches throughout the house that made us feel comfortable and at home. The garage had more than enough boogie boards and bikes for all to use and a great four-burner gas grill. We were also excited to find board games in the bedroom as I had forgotten to pack some for the kids. It was a little too hot for us to eat outdoors very often but the kids loved the picnic table on the upper deck. Air conditioning, washer/dryer, and a dish washer were all appreciated, as well! The location was also perfect with a very short walk to an access point to the beach near the corner of Ebb Tide Dr and Ocean Dr. The shops and restaurants of downtown were only a short drive away, and I found a fantastic playground near the boat launch just across Emerald Dr. We would happily rent this house again for a future trip if available. It was a great place for our vacation!

Celebrating 90

We stayed in Emerald Isle to celebrate my uncle’s 90th birthday. My uncle and my cousins stayed on the beach and we ( my 82 year old mom, my husband, my 3 kids and their significant others) stayed in Vitamin Sea. Let’s just say we would stay at Vitamin Sea again in a heartbeat. Andy communicated with us any time we had a question before the trip. The house was spotless the day we arrived. It was equipped with everything we could possibly have needed.. right down to the abundant supply of beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys. My mom ended up having to sleep upright on the couch in the living room due to health issues and she said she slept very well. The 5 min walk to the beach was great. The kids enjoyed the pool table almost every night. A couple of us rode the bikes that were in the garage, those were a great added amenity. Thank you Andy for providing a fantastic vacation home that was absolutely perfect for my family. It was our first time on Emerald Isle and would definitely book with you again if/when we visit again.

Immaculate!

Can't say enough about how well put-together this space was and the work the owner has done to make this place a great stay for families vacationing at Emerald Isle. Easy as could be and extremely clean and comfortable. And we're a picky bunch, so that's saying something!

I grew up spending time on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. When it came time to purchase a beach house, my wife and I agreed Emerald Isle was most like the beach towns we remembered from our childhood. The beaches are not crowded, the locals are friendly, the seafood is good, and traffic isn't much of an issue.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is one of the best in Emerald Isle. Many of the houses are used solely by their owners. Crowds on the beach are rare and the people are friendly.
