This is the best the coast has to offer! This beautiful sound front cottage comes with all the amenities with a private pier and a new in-ground pool. This cottage is really 2 homes in one. The upstairs cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The beautiful downstairs apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The large backyard is excellent for weddings, grilling, and having the whole family together for a wonderful time. Enjoy the pier and get a great tan, play in the water or catch some fresh fish.

If you want to go beach-combing, a walk in the sunset, or catch the next best wave it's only a short walk to the beach. Inside enjoy all of the comforts of home with a nicely appointed kitchen, 5 bedrooms, excellent living area, and tremendous views of Bogue Sound! Relax in the living room or the soft plush couches in the sunroom while enjoying the sounds, smell, and views on the maritime coast.


This wonderful Carolina beach home is a gem to behold. Already great we're adding some new style and access to add to the charm of this great vacation home!!

The property is great! We've stayed here before and plan on coming back. The kitchen is well equipped and the upstairs house is roomy enough that you can relax either in the tv area or on the sun porch area looking over the pool and sound. It's a very short walk to the beach and the pool area is nice and clean. The owner is very responsive to all text messages. Can't wait to return next year.

House met all of our needs and in a great location on the sound with very short walk to public beach access. Had a minor mechanical issue but the PDL team was very quick to respond and correct the situation which was much appreciated.Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved this vacation! The house was very clean and perfect for our family of young adult children and their partners. The kitchen was well stocked, beach access was really convenient and the pool in the backyard was a fun place to relax. But the highlight for us? Watching the sunset from the gazebo at the end of the private pier. So peaceful!

Perfect soundside home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sounds Great! The home is well taken care of, clean, and a great location for a beach trip. The part of the island where the home is located is only three houses wide, with a beach access a couple hundred yards away. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets over the sound, and being able to come back to the pool after being on the beachThe house is well stocked in terms of pots and pans, utensils…. Plan to bring your paper products and kitchen staples (oil, salt, pepper…) but otherwise unpack and enjoy.

Beautiful Views & Spacious Back Lawn!

We loved staying in this home during our wedding weekend! It was the perfect home to get together as a family and we loved the pool & back yard in addition to the dock. From fishing off the dock to a cute beachy vibe on the inside of the house, this place is awesome!

Wonderful stay

The house was perfect for a large family with two small kids. We brought our 28ft boat down with us and we’re able to take it out daily with the ease of keeping it on the pier. Everything about our stay was amazing. Perfect house for small kids who love to explore all rooms and cabinets

Husband’s Dream

This house was perfect for my husband’s dream beach trip. He loves to fish and with the house having its own private pier and covering, he was able to fish everyday. He caught his own bait as well. We loved the pool as well. The only con was the downstairs looked bigger in the pics than it actually was. We would book this house again

Great Location

House is very close to the beach access and the dock is awesome for fishing. The house setup is a bit awkward, the downstairs and upstairs is not connected and you have to go outside to get to the washer/dryer (not ideal during a tropical storm). Kitchen is small and needs updating.

My family and I adored everything about this place! The house was very clean and exactly as advertised. Communication was so easy- we had an issue with a broken umbrella when we arrived to the home and they had someone out with a new one less than 15 minutes after us reaching out!! This house meets all of your water needs with the great pool, private pier right on the sound, and such a fast/easy walk to the beach! I would definitely recommend staying here to anybody!
