Our family purchased this duplex in the late 1990's. We have always shared this unit via rentals and love to hear all the complements of the wonderful time everyone has. Since tearing down our old deck and rebuilding with a brand new 3 level deck, the accolades have been very satisfying.
We never get tired of the fantastic sunsets, Atlantic Beach is special for sunsets on the beach. We love sharing our home and know you will enjoy it.

Why they chose this property
Our family is originally from New Bern, NC and even though we now are spread around the southern states and in Germany, coming back to Whithaven gives us the opportunity to stay together when we get a chance to come back to Carteret County. We hope you will enjoy coming back to Whithaven year after year as many of our new friends do.
It's been great meeting so many guests through the years who often become instant friends as they return to Whithaven time and time again. We have several friends for life who started out as guests.
You just can't beat the location and view with the pier close by. You can easily walk to at least 3 restaurants, take a stroll to Fort Macon or the circle. The surfing is fantastic by the pier and our big wide beach gives you plenty of room for fun in the sand.
If you like chilling at the house, the multi level deck is where you will spend most of your time. You can sit in the shade on the ground level or enjoy the sun on the main or upper BR level decks. You've got over 1200 square feet of deck space to enjoy in our of our lounge chairs or grill out on our gas grill and enjoy the sunset.
We also have a wrap around counter top for entertaining, dining or playing cards.

What makes this property unique
The short version, Whithaven is our Happy Place! Our view of the pier at sunrise is fantastic and then to get sunsets along our east/west facing beach is really special. Throw in the fantastic surfing and fishing and it really makes it a unique area. Taking a walk on the pier and looking back at the house is really cool and the pier restaurant is a great breakfast, lunch or Happy Hour and or to be able to grab a quick snack almost anytime. An easy walk to the circle with several restaurants makes this a stress free vacation.
