Our family had an amazing long weekend at the property. The home was very clean and comfortable with a spacious living area open to the kitchen on the top floor. The view and scenery were quite amazing. The host was super responsive and accommodating, responding in minutes to any questions I texted over the weekend. Overall, the home and location exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning in the future.
This house was the perfect fit for our family for our week long stay. We had three different families staying and three young kids. There was plenty of space for all of us. There were games and activities for the kids to play with. Plenty of plates, silverware, cookware, cups, etc for all of us each day. The house was clean, bedrooms were made up nicely and there were fun outdoor things for adults and kids to use. The location is very nice. In a nice quiet neighborhood right on the water, but conveniently located to town. What more could you ask for! The community pool was very nice! The kids loved it and the playground just down the road! The host was very responsive before and during our stay.
There was plenty of space for our family. The kitchen was very well stocked. The views from the decks were absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed being able to fish off the dock, using the kayaks, and riding the bikes around the neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay!
We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed this location. We were fortunate to have fantastic weather so the deck with wonderful views of the sound was great. The house had everything we needed for an extended weekend and everyone seemed to sleep comfortably. Natalie was a wonderful communicator and quickly responded to any questions I had. We would stay at this location again.
We had a wonderful week here, the sunsets over the sound from the deck were amazing! The house is clean, floor plan suits a family fabulously and the hot tub was an added bonus!
Excellent property. We were 7 adults and three 18. The house was comfy for all of us. The proximity to groceries, convenience stores, beaches and restaurants has likely been covered in other reviews but should be in every review. The kayaks out in the bay were great!Well equipped, extraordinary views from all three deck levels, and is a true "sleeps 10" property.
Good place to unwind from every day life and enjoy the family to make memories. Very spacious with all the amenities needed. Thank you for letting us stay at your house.
House was as described, Natalie was super helpful/responsive. Great value to have kayaks/SUP/bikes available on the property, amazing views of the sound. Certainly would return. Thank you!
Beautiful house with gorgeous views of the sound located in the heart of Avon, very convenient too
Needs to be cleaned better between guests, though, especially hard floors
Also kitchen and kitchen ware needs an upgrade
Loved staying in Natalie's home. What a view and those sunsets! Pretty windy while we were there (March/Apr are windy and attract a lot of windsurfers etc - great viewing!) but plenty of sunshine so did lots of exploring. Would definitely recommend. Thx for a great 5 days, Natalie. :)
The house, the grounds, the location is all wonderful and as advertised.
I'm not one for long reviews but I just wanted to highlight the property manager. Had lots of texts back and forth with them with advice on kiteboarding spots and other things about the island and they were always quick to respond with useful information. This is a huge asset whenever you are traveling and I can't thank them enough for all their help. We absolutely plan on staying there again.
The property needs a good deep cleaning and needs to be inspected by either a maintenance supervisor or the owner. There were no remotes for the tv in the den or the kids room. We didn’t watch tv because the weather was great! The beds were comfortable.

Sound advice
Met my older adult children and college kids for a "family reunion" with the goal of learning how to windsurf. It was the perfect spot to learn being able to sit on the back porch and watch the kids windsurf. Short drive in the truck to the beach. Liked the top floor with kitchen and great room. Watched an osprey catch fish off of the back porch.

Wonderful guests, great communication. Will welcome back any time.
Met friends here for spring break and really enjoyed our time despite it being the off season. We loved the property. Everything was great and in working order even though we were the first renters of the season. The view of the sound is unparalleled. The kids especially loved being out on the private dock and decks and the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. The new hot tub is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
The owners were very responsive, so friendly and easygoing. The property manager was also super nice and attentive.
The ONLY thing we could suggest is that the property may need a new dryer as it struggled to dry the towels and linens, but that is literally it.
Five adults stayed at this wonderful home on the sound. Fabulous views from the back deck ! Many a cup of coffee before the beach was spent there watching seabirds play. Chairs were comfortable up there, but it would be even better with at least one more big chair. The house was well equipped. Everything is there that you need to cook indoors. We usually grill, and the charcoal grill was broken. I messaged the owner and she graciously offered to pay for another grill from the ace hardware. The gas grill, although small, was there too so we just used that. We highly recommend sunrise fish company at the top of harbor road.... fabulous selection. The kitchen had big mugs for cold drinks. I wish there were more ice cube trays, as we went through a lot of ice!We used the circle table for games each night. Oh, the laughs we shared! The fresh rosemary in the jar was a nice touch. The house was spotless and very clean upon arrival. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom in the 2nd floor with the king bed needs a shower head repair, but still able to use . The bathroom towels were nice, and not those icky white scratchy ones rentals usually provide. The hot tub was fantastic! It was a bit sandy, but we are at the beach! The bikes you provided were fun to use. Two of us would ride for ice cream or coffee or to avon pier. We also made use of the yellow kayak, one fishing pole and one boogie board. Thank you for this ! Nc of rough surf, we drove to Frisco Beaches. Very nice!

Relaxing stay and absolutely beautiful views!
Our family of 6 had a wonderful vacation in this home! The location was perfect and I can't say enough about the views overlooking the water. The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous and unlike any I have ever seen.....it was worth the visit just to experience the sunsets! It was so peaceful and serene and perfect place to vacation if you are looking to relax and get away from the hustle bustle of life. We were able to bike to nearby gift shops, restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops or Avon pier if you wanted to do so. We accessed the beach at Avon pier and there was plenty of parking and you can sit under the pier if you prefer the shade. Our children also enjoyed the pool at Kinnakeet Shores Pool. However, we spent the majority of our time at the home in the water on kayaks and paddle boards that were provided by the owner. I highly suggest kayaking at sunset!! We did attempt to visit Ocracoke, but the ferry had a 2 hour wait so if you are interested in taking that trip, I suggest getting to the ferry very early! We also made the trip to Nags Head and Manteo and visited Jockeys Ridge. It was a great trip and did take most of the day, but worth seeing...... but we were very ready to get back to our quiet home in Avon! The owner was wonderful to deal with and got right back to me regarding a couple of questions that we had. Thank you for a great stay and hope to visit again soon!

Jason and his family were a pleasure to host! We highly recommend them to other hosts and would welcome them back anytime.
We came as wife, dad, child and grandma. We came in January wgich was 40* and windy. We stayed for 7 days and enjoyed about three sunny days. We're from upstate NY so we know how bad winter is. We loved this get away and knew the weather would be cold as it is almost everywhere in the winter.
Wonderful view. Grocery store and restaurants fairly close
Appliances could be updated (one burner on stove not working, dishwasher drawer rolls out unto floor, squeaky dryer). Enjoyed our stay!
We had a wonderful time. House was exactly as listed. The water toys and bikes were an added bonus. Looking forward to staying next year!
