This charming waterfront log home (steps away from Lantzville's most beautiful beach) has everything you'll need for a restful winter vacation! Enjoy awe-inspiring sunsets while soaking in your oceanfront hot-tub, long beach walks where you'll see soaring eagles and incredible ocean views, cozy evenings cuddled up by the magical woodstove. Cedarsong Cabin is tastefully decorated and fully equipped with everything you'll need for a weekend or longer term stay. You will love this place and will not want to leave!
Guests have full access of the home and property.

Lantzville is a quaint and quiet village just 5 minutes from the hussle and bustle of north Woodgrove Centre area. The village boasts 2 lovely restaurants - Camas and Katerina's, the Lantzville Pub, a Liquor Store, an art gallery and 4Cats Art Studio (for big and small kids!). At the top of Huddlestone Road, there's also a large park with lots of fun equipment for children. Lantzville is a very family friendly community.

You'll need a vehicle to get here and enjoy the surroundings, although bus service is available.

Mike and Jan own the property and are long time Lantzville residents. Mike especially loves to share his knowledge of the area with our guests.

Perfection

Rustic Charm

We had a wonderful holiday at Cedarsong Cabin. Well- located in small, quiet community, close to stores and main Island highway. Great accommodation - rustic, comfortable close to the water, clean, well-supplied. Loved the barking sea lions, hot tub and wood stove.

Perfect location - views are amazing!

Stayed here with our family and dogs while on a work trip and visiting relatives. We absolutely loved it! Location can’t be beat! Our son had such a blast at the beach as well as just roaming around the property. Would definitely stay here again! :)

This beautiful ocean front cabin absolutely surpassed our expectations. very comfortable, the kitchen has everything we needed and more, the beds are very comfortable. Hosts are great, helpful and kind.

Amazing weekend!

This property was exactly what we were hoping for. Beautiful location, great amenities, stunning sunset. This is truly ocean front, with a few steps down to the beach. Loved the hot tub, fireplace, bbq. Perfect for our family get away!

What a great place to stay

We were really happy we booked this place for our island vacation this year. The place is rustic but super clean and stocked with everything we needed, The location was great and the view amazing. Our dogs loved the low tide on the beach around the corner. Judy and Mike were fantastic. We will be back

Good for the soul!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Cedarsong for the month of July 2017. Not only did the home prove to be a great base for exploring the Island, but the time at "home" was good for the soul, as well! The flowers were lovely and those ocean views inspired us each day--not to mention that the daylight seemed to last forever! A wonderful vacation spot! Many thanks to Judy and family for graciously sharing their piece of paradise with us.

Perfect.

Everything about this home was just perfect. Judy, this cabin in this location were one of my very favorites ever in the years we have traveled. View and access to walks on the shore were good. The cabin itself is warm and comfortable. If there is any note of an improvement needed It might be that we could not get the washing machine to balance on spins cycle. It didn’t seem to matter whether we were doing towels or light clothing.

Fantastic February

I cannot say enough about this stay. We stayed for the month of February. The location could not be better. Views spectacular no matter what the weather was like, which was surprisingly good. The cabin was rustic as expected and lovely. It has been maintained well. The cabin was well stocked from towels to tea towel to kitchen accessories. The hot tub was amazing. We used it for sunrises and sunsets. Easy access to an amazing beach where the sea lions did not disappoint. We actually saw whales! Our dog was very comfortable and loved the dog friendly beach. We would highly recommend this cabin for anyone who loves nature but also likes having the amenities close. Booking and communication with Judy was easy! Thank you so much , it was fantastic The neighbours are friendly too! ❤️

February Retreat

If you’re looking for a cookie-cutter renovated rental with recognizable IKEA furnishings, then keep looking, this place is not for you. If instead you relish the thought of spending time in a rustic log cabin your grandfather might have built, then read on. With 180° views of the Strait and the Coastal Mountains in the distance, direct access to the beach, a meticulously maintained and private hot tub on the deck, a functioning and cozy wood stove, an exceptionally stocked kitchen, comfortable beds with plenty of linens, this cabin was our Vancouver Island retreat for the month of February, and it will be the first place we will look to when we return to this area. When you don’t feel like cooking, there are three great restaurants within walking distance in Lantzville, or a short drive to North Nanaimo. Hosts Judy and Mike were helpful and responsive, and very considerate about notifying us when any maintenance was to take place. Mike kept us well-stocked with kindling and firewood. The photos and listing information are accurate. Thank you both for a most enjoyable stay!

This lovely cottage by the ocean was exactly what Had hoped for. Beautiful view, good access to the beach. Hosts were wonderful and the cottage was well stocked with all the essentials. We’ll be back!

Couldn't be happier and more pleased with everything

What an introduction to VRBO! Everything was perfect. Location, property, owner, etc. Incredible sunsets. Beach just a few meters from the back porch. Relaxing in the hot tub watching incredible sunsets each evening. Since the property is elevated above the beach you don't even notice anyone down below which usually during the day is empty but in early evening is busy with people bringing their chairs just to watch the gorgeous sunsets. The property is tucked away nicely so that you feel like you are secluded but Costco and lots of shops and restaurants are only 10 minutes away. Only 20 min drive from Duke Point ferries and less from Nanaimo. Our host Judy was also very responsive and charming. Will look to stay again at the next opportunity. Highly recommended.

Just perfect!

Cedarsong was absolutely perfect! This was easily one of the best experiences we have ever had. This property was amazing. There is over 200 degree view of the ocean! The cottage itself is very well appointed and the kitchen lacking nothing. At low tide, we walked for kilometres looking for starfish, sandollars and other wonderful creatures. We saw orcas and bald eagles from the relaxing hot tub. And jumped off the small ledge into the high tide one evening. This cottage is the perfect launching spot to explore the island. We visited Coombs, Tofino and Parksville several times. Judy was wonderful host while Mike next door was always a go to for assistance or for some great conversation. We will be booking again soon!

Charming Waterfront Cottage

Cedarsong Cottage is a spacious log cabin, located just a short drive from Nanaimo. The kitchen is well-appointed, the beds are comfy, and the cottage is full of character. The hot tub on the deck offers spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding islands. The beach offers a lovely stroll, with tide pools for exploring. Judy is an attentive host and an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Perfect for working vacation

Perfect place to work while gazing out at the water and gorgeous scenery. I asked for snow and got more than I bargained for. It was glorious for a southerner from the US who came up here to escape the heat. Hosts were incredible. They shoveled snow from the sidewalk and helped me rescue a trapped bird. I had a lovely time.

Amazing Seaside Log Cabin

We had an amazing two week holiday at Cedarsong. The view from the cottage is spectacular and we saw otters, seals, porpoise and even orcas right out front. The sunsets were beautiful. The host is very accommodating and thoughtful. We highly recommend!

WOW WOW WOW

WOW doesn't even begin to sum up our past 10 days at Cedarsong. It truly is as good as it sounds, even better! We travel a lot and NEVER have we experienced views/ocean like we did this trip! The house was extremely well stocked and clean and although older it was definitely perfect for a relaxing getaway, The use of hot-tub was another added bonus, and Mike and Jan right next door are available for any needs or concerns. Judy made the check in/out process extremely easy! We appreciated all the flowers and stickers and neatly folded towels and rags, everything just made the trip that much more special! The location CANNOT be beat, only 5 min to walmart/costco etc but you feel hours away! Everyday we explored a new hiking trail and a new playground, all within 30 min of the cabin, with the exception of a day trip to Ucluelet (which was incredible!) Thanks Mike, Jan and Judy for everything, we will be back!

Fantastic waterfront cottage

Judy was so helpful and friendly! The cottage is lovely, right by the ocean, hot tub, and all the amenities you would want (dishwasher, washer dryer, oils and spices etc for cooking, well stocked kitchen). We cooked all of our own meals and had everything we needed. Mornings in the hot tub watching the sun rise on the snow capped mountains across the straight were magical!

Wonderful stay in Lantzville!

Our stay at Cedarsong was excellent! The cabin was exactly as described, with touches of home throughout. The kitchen was well stocked, and having cooking essentials was greatly appreciated when preparing meals. From sitting in the hot tub watching the waves in the rain to curling up in front of the fire with a good book, we had a fantastic time. Definitely recommended!
