The host's mother interfered with our ability to enjoy the unit, which was otherwise reasonably nice with an excellent view.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay, the location of the home was great. Easy access to the beach, city and shopping. The view from the balcony was amazing! What a wonderful way to start each day. Home was spacious and perfect for my family of 5.

Nice view on the balcony/terras. Friendly owner but only speak Italian. Kitchen utensils need a update. Sofa was not comfortable to sit. Wifi sometimes gone but owner repair it quickly. Good place for us to visit the area from Palermo till Marsala. Privat parking and area very quiet. So, good place to visit.

Shared feelings. On the one hand, the apartment itself and the location are very good. There are more rooms and beds than you will probably use. 2 bathrooms. A large kitchen and dining area walking out to a very large patio with breathtaking views of the mountains, sea and Castelmare. On the other hand, communication with the host is terrible. The information is only communicated through the host's mother, who lives on the floor above the rental, only speaks Italian and makes no effort to be understood. This will result in situations where you will be intercepted by the mother literally as you are closing the gate to drive off for a day trip only to be informed that copies of your passports need to be sent to the owner within the next three hours. Or the mother walking in on your dinner (yeah, you kind of share the space with the host's family) to inform you that you need to pay the lodging tax. All kinds of information that could be communicated in a more timely and professional manner. In other instances you might find that you can't use the parking on the premises because someone visiting the family is parked in front of the gate and blocking the way. Or you might be disturbed by a random man driving up to the gate, repeatedly honking at 8:30 on your last morning, and then yelling at you to open the gate because he's the next guest and the owner told him he could leave the luggage at the property before check in. All this to say I would not stay there again.

Our family of nine stayed at La Bella Vista for a month, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The house was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for an extended stay. The views were absolutely stunning — every morning felt like waking up in a postcard! The owners, Signora Fina and Don Salvatore, who live upstairs, were so kind and welcoming. They made us feel completely at ease and were always available if we needed anything, yet gave us full privacy. By the end of our trip, they truly felt like family. The host, David, was also wonderful — and we highly recommend visiting his delicious restaurant on the island of Favignana, just a short ferry ride away. It was one of the highlights of our stay! The location was also ideal — close to shops where you can easily find all your essentials like water, milk, and toothpaste, and just a short drive to local restaurants and attractions. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Sicily. La Bella Vista made our trip truly special, and we’ll always cherish the memories we made there!

Very close to perfect

We spend a full week as a group of 9 adults in Davide’s house, in the beginning of May. The space for us was the floor you reach when going up the outside stairs (above the ground floor) of the house, it is spacious and clean, large kitchen area and table that fitted all of us. As mentioned in other comments, the small downside is that there are no basics for cooking or cleaning in the house (salt, pepper, dish soap, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, clothespins…) so we had to buy everything. But other than that, the house is well equipped, large pots and pans matching the amount of people that the house can fit, washing machine is a plus, and having bedsheets and bath towels provided is really convenient when you only have a carry-on. We had 2 cars and having them inside the property, inside a gate that locks, is great. The view from the terrace is amazing, and the surroundings are quiets. Alcamo Marina is a great location and starting point to discover the north-east part of Sicily, the freeway is not far from the house. Davide showed up at the house (ground floor) a few times, but respected our privacy, we chatted briefly and he is very nice. He also was very responsive to messages, he arranged last minute our check-in earlier than originally planned, and he also came right away when we had a small technical issue with hot water. Thanks again for everything !

A vista é bonita.

Flotte strande i kort køreafstand.
