Fantastic holiday - we will return

Really great place to stay! Clean and comfortable with a fantastic welcome by Rosalia and her family. Including Dusty the gorgeous dog. Rosalie and her daughter met us at the airport - which was great and hassle free, showed us around Balestrate and really looked after us. We are looking forward to going back.

Great Apartment

A large, well equipped apartment, just a few minutes outside of Balestrate. With two balconies, a rooftop terrace, and a swimming pool, the apartment has very nice outdoor living spaces too. The host was very helpful with local information and providing transportation to/from the train station (for a reasonable fee.) We would stay here again.

The place is clean BUT, all the necessities that you needed is not provided, no soap, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, paper towel etc. Pool is close at 8pm, what the heck your on vacation and after a long day outside you want to relax on the pool but it is close. And one more thing no air conditioning, you have to pay 5euro/day. All of these should have provided with no extra cost.

Un super séjour. Rosalia et son mari sont très gentils et très disponible. Logement très bien situé et au calme. Les propriétaires sont de très bon conseil pour les lieux à visiter. Merci pour leurs accueil.

Stayed here with my family. Overall, the experience was good. The host was friendly and shared lots of tips via WhatsApp, including dining and boat trips. The pool area was lovely, and the apartment was decent. It’s about a 15-minute walk to town (with one steep hill), but the town is charming with great food at reasonable prices. We appreciated having two parking spaces (one inside the gate and one outside).On the downside: the apartment needs refreshing as many things feel old and worn. Power sockets were very limited (only one in the kitchen and three in total across bedrooms). Air conditioning costs extra, which wasn’t clearly stated. The property is spread over two levels with a roof terrace, but note there are three apartments upstairs plus the owner’s family downstairs, so the pool is shared with more guests than expected. The pool closes strictly at 8 PM. One hot evening I went for a late swim and was told it wasn’t allowed; the next day, the host said she reported us to Vrbo and could evict us, which felt extreme.Other points: The host said we could keep rubbish in bins on the balcony during the stay, but on checkout morning, we were asked to take it all downstairs. The washing machine is shared and often used by the host between turnovers, so it was hard to access.If you’re okay with strict rules and an older apartment, it’s a decent stay. If you want more flexibility, it may not be for you.

Notre séjour s'est très bien passé dans cette maison. Rosalia, qui parle très bien le français, nous a très bien accueillis et nous a présentés les sites à visiter. Notre petite fille a apprécié de plonger dans la piscine après la journée. L'appartement est confortable et suffisamment équipé pour passer un agréable séjour.

Visit to western Sicily

The property is beautiful. We hiked and did tourist things during the day. Played in the beautiful pool to cool off in the afternoon. Went and ate at Eo restaurant which was recommended by the host. We did rent a car to get around our last two days. Fantastic time!

Middelmatig vakantie appartement

Verblijf was uitdagend, alles in het appartement was gedateerd, slaapkamer, meubels, woonkeuken en servies etc. Appartement moet nodig gerenoveerd worden! Allerbelangrijkste wat niet klopt is het adres en beschrijving, we werden nl. naar het centrum gestuurd op dit adres maar in werkelijkheid was het huis buiten de stad op een onbekende plaats die wij nooit konden vinden zonder de eigenaars hulp om ons op te halen. Dit klopt dus helemaal niet met de werkelijkheid en moet aangepast worden!

Clean and comfortable with a delightful host.

We enjoyed the full use of the apartment with onsite parking. Once you get the hang of driving in small Sicilian towns, it becomes east to get around. Balestrate has a beautiful beachfront and many lovely restaurants. Our hostess was helpful and friendly. Mille grazie, Rosalia!

Contentissima della scelta che ho fatto, casa uguale alle foto, con tutti i confort che servono ad una famiglia. Piscina stupenda, che nelle ore più calde della giornata è un toccasana. La signora Rosalia gentilissima e cortese. Ritorneremo sicuramente. Lo consiglio a chi vuol passare qualche giorno in tranquillità ma comunque vicini al mare Ci ritornerò sicuramente

Alles prima, super Aufenthalt

Ci siamo trovati molto bene nella casa di Rosalia. Si sente una gran ospitaliá. Quando c'è bisogno Rosalia aiuta in ogni situazione. Da Balestrate si puo fare tante belle gite e Rosalia necessariamente da tanti bei consigli. Ci siamo trovati molto bene nel apartamento e molto bene con Rosalia e la sua famiglia. L' apartamento é ben atrezzato, ben organizzato e grande. Il terazzo é molto bello e ottimo per la sera. Anche il pool a fiancho del palazzo é molto bello. Grazie per il bellisimo tempo che potevamo stare nel apartamento.

Superbe !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Rosalia. A notre arrivée nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli par Rosalia. Elle nous a informés des lieux à visiter, restaurants, activités. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une hôte qui parle très bien Français et qui était disponible. L'appartement était très propre, bien équipé. Belle piscine. La voiture était garée dans la cour fermée. Une superbe terrasse sur le toit avec une vue à 360 degrés. Nous avons pu admirer de superbes levés et couchés de soleil. Nous pouvons que recommander l'appartement de Rosalia.

Saubere Unterkunft aber nichts für Familien mit kleinen Kindern

Wir sind als Familie mit unter anderem einem Kleinkind und einem Baby angereist. Die Vermieterin Rosalia hat am Anfang einen freundlichen Eindruck gemacht.Die Unterkunft und der Pool waren Sauber und gepflegt. Die Küchenausstattung war ausreichend für die schnelle Urlaubsküche. Zu Beginn unseres Aufenthaltes Anfang Mai war es leider sehr regnerisch und der Wind kühl wodurch unser Kind sich eine Ohrenentzündung eingeholt hat und deswegen in der Nacht geweint hatte. Daraufhin wurde ich um Mitternacht von der Gastgeberfamilie, die im selben Haus wohnt, angerufen und mir wurde gesagt dass es nicht normal ist dass mein Kind weint. Ab dann war die Freundlichkeit leider verschwunden und Rosalia hat sich immer wieder über die Kinder aufgeregt. An einem sehr regnerischen Tag an dem wir nicht raus konnten und wir die Kinder drin Beschäftigt haben war ihr auch ständig alles zu laut. Wir haben uns ab da nicht mehr wohlgefühlt und würden diese Unterkunft, in der man so wenig Empathie gegenüber Kindern hat nicht nochmal buchen. Deswegen für Familien nicht geeignet

Sehr nette Gastgeber

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und entspannten Aufenthalt in Balestrate bei Familie Pagano einschließlich dem Haushund Dusty. Da wir selber auch mit Hund angereist waren, war es entzückend zu sehen wie gut sie sich verstanden haben. Wir haben uns in der großzügigen Ferienwohnung mit riesiger Terrasse sehr wohl gefühlt , konnten leider den Pool nicht nutzen weil es noch zu frisch war. Vielen Dank Frau Pagano für die schönen Tage in ihrem ansprechenden Ferienhaus.
