Treat your family to this memorable get-away just 1 mile from the resort town of Lava Hot Springs! Enjoy total comfort and privacy in this classic 5000 sq ft home. Wake up to a panoramic view of the valley, surrounding mountains, and abundant wildlife. Play a round of golf on the nearby course!

This property SLEEPS 22in beds and is located just over a mile from the town of Lava. It backs to BLM so an early morning hike, an ATV ride into town (or to miles of back country trails) can happen right from the property!

Home includes: 6 bedrooms (incl. large bonus room w/ 4 twin beds and 2 Queen) 120" Projection Theater System, 3 smart TV’, 2 gas fireplaces, Granite counters, 2 large jetted tubs, a luxurious walk-in steam shower, WIFI, wood flooring, on-demand hot water system and soft water, front loading washer/drier, beautiful deck & walk-out basement with gas grill, yard space, outdoor and indoor speakers, fire pit, tetherball, large Connect 4, ARCADE games, etc. This house is the ultimate!

4WD will be needed to access house in the winter months, (though we do have someone to plow when it snows). The house is located on the side of a mountain so there are many variables involved but it does promise complete privacy and comfort.

This is a beautiful vacation home nestled in the hills around Lava Hot Springs. Just 2 min to town, but you feel like you are in the middle of the country! House was immaculate and the kitchen very well stocked. The host was very quick to respond to questions. Would love to stay here again!

The home was beautiful and the surrounding yard was spacious and pretty. Our family enjoys cooking and eating together, so we appreciated the well supplied kitchen. We enjoyed playing games with our family inside and out on the lawn. We enjoyed the beauty and scenery. We saw a deer early one morning in the trees beyond the yard and rabbits. It felt nice to be away from town but still only a few minutes away for access to things in town. It was a great location for the activities we had planned at Lava Hot Springs, hikes and other day trips.

Such a roomy, peaceful home. Everything you could possibly need. Beautiful view, comfortable beds and space to spread out. Hike in trees behind the home. Listen to owls at night and pheasant during the day. We loved everything about this home. Highly recommend!!

The view was amazing. We really enjoyed the house. We had plenty of space. My grandkids loved the outdoor activities especially the zip line. One suggestion is a lot more bath towels. We had 19 people. It sleeps 22 and we didn't have enough towels.

Great Home for Multi-generational gatherings

Great home for hosting family where everyone could have their own space but still have multiple locations to gather together. Kitchen provides everything we needed to cook through out our stay. Outdoor areas and activities kept children’s attention! Will definitely book again for larger groups coming to the area.

Richard grew up in Shelley, Idaho (home of the Shelley Russets!). Lorie grew up on a cattle ranch near Rifle, Colorado. They met on a blind date at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho in 1994 and moved all around the country getting educated. We have 4 children.

Why they chose this property

We have always dreamed of owning a place in Lava Hot Springs and when this property became available, we fell in love with it right away. Our family has visited the Lava Hot Springs area nearly every year. We enjoy the swimming pools the most! Next we enjoy the beautiful mountain setting, exciting swimming/tubing activities for kids, and the quaintness of this small town.

Making improvements and painting all of the once-pink walls, have been a labor of love that our whole family has been a part of. A highlight in our week is to get to stay at "Lava View Lodge" on our free weekends but having 4 busy teenagers, it is hard to find the time to get away. As a result, we rent it out to considerate guests on most weekends of the year and find it getting busier and busier.

What makes this property unique

This home is in complete isolation! The view of the mountains and golf course from the dining room windows sold us on the property. It is a special 'haven' away from everyday chaos. We see deer and jack rabbits nearly every morning. If you consider renting in winter months, make sure you bring 4WD.
