Check-in was smooth and easy, as Domenico was organised and easily contactable for enquiries/information. Kitchen/dinette had all modcons for 4. Great wifi access. Air conditioning was heaven sent especially with the 40C heat outside. Lovely cool quiet escape! Easily accessible to restaurants, attractions, shops by foot.

A nice apartment in a perfect location.

The apartment was very comfortable and perfect for myself and two friends. The location is fantastic with a few minutes walk in each direction leading you to many of the famous attractions in Florence. It also was very close to restaurants, bars, and Vivoli gelateria. Marco was fantastic to work with, and was very prompt in answering my messages and any questions. Overall, it was a perfect place to spend my time in Florence.

Great location but the apartment has low ceilings so us being tall guys bumped our heads a lot in the beams. Overall it looked better in the photos than in reality. Be ready to climb two flights of steep stairs, in a stinky stairwell with your luggage in your hand. There was a stinky smell in the kitchen and bathroom coming from outside interior court, maybe from sewage, other areas in Florence has a similar bad smell. The shower head was dirty with black mold that we needed to clean. The washing machine was not available as advertised. The host gave us good info for checking in and was nice. Sheets and towel were freshly washed and overall everything was fairly clean.

I will not recommend

The description is incorrect. Not modern / renovation is backsplash in the kitchen and very low ceilings. Too bad I can't upload pics of the carpet, glued to the floor with dirty paper scotch tape or the laminate flooring edges up in some areas. Another misleading amenity description is the washer / drier. I saw in earlier review dated Aug 22 "note there is not a washer or dryer and it is in need of some updates” but since now is 24 I thought the issue was fixed. In pic 18/75 you can see the top end of the washer - when we were there it was covered with paper scotch tape and not allowed to use. Bathroom - pic 26/75 and 8/75 - is so narrow - maybe 20in/50cm shower area. No ventilation so you keep the window open (as the host asks anyway). There is no mosquito screen on any window. Entering the apartment - you open the door, go 3 steps down and are in living room - Pic 9-10/75. But - there is an old refrigerator covered with plastic bag in the corner and when the sofa is open, there was no room, making the guests taking turns to pass by. Bedroom - the mattress is 5-6 in longer than the bed - see pic 1/75 left end of bed - resulting feet being higher than belly. Host asked for additional payment to set up the sofa and per person per day city tax - both not included in the description. We were charged Service fee and Cleaning fee and told we need to throw away the trash. Location is great indeed. Host replies are quick.

L'appartement ne reflète pas du tout l'annonce. Il n'est pas adapté pour 4 personnes. Le linge du canapé lit est trop petit du coup vous êtes directement sur le canapé ( pas top pour l'hygiène) , aucun rangement, la douche il ne faut pas être trop grand, vous ne voyez pas le proprietaire vous vous débrouillez avec des vidéos . Attention au parking il n'y en a pas et il faut se garer au tramway ce qui vous fera 30 minutes de tramway + 20 à pieds. Trop d'incohérence avec l'annonce, nous avons été très déçu.

This apartment is in a great location. Walking distance to the city center. It is a nice size for two people. Please note there is not a washer or dryer and it is in need of some updates. Marco was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Nice and helpful host, spoke enough English to get by. The location of the apartment is next to the best restaurant ever (Acqua al duo) and walking distance to everything you would want to see. However, the apartment is dark, smells of smoke, and the bathroom was moldy. I refused to shower because there was so much black mold. Great for college aged boys most likely

The location of this apartment is ideal! A 5 minutes walk to the duomo. A 10 minute walk from the train station. Lots of good food in every direction. The apartment itself was perfect! Very clean, had everything we needed! Will for sure book again!

Great location, below average accomodations

This was our first impression of Home Away and we probably will not use it again. The owner did not meet us, but sent a representative to do so. The rep supplied a local map and showed us where the market is and other helpful things, that was very appreciated. We became concerned when the rep was reviewing what to do when the electricity goes off which did a few hours after our arrival, for at least an hour or so. The whole building was out, my husband met the other neighbors. After trying all options, one of the neighbors called the electric company. It would have been nice to know about the power issues and should be included in the review information because I understand it does happen often in the warmer months. I would not have selected this property for that reason. We had already been traveling a week and 1/2 prior to getting to this accommodation and we were tired, just wanted to relax a bit. It would have been nice to have English instructions relating to the washer/dryer and where to take the trash too. Extra trash bags should be made available as well as dishwashing soap to wash the dishes with. The 2 extra rolls of toilet paper were appreciated, but we did o have to buy more. We stayed for 4 nights and there were 2 women in our group of 3. The air conditioner in the big bed bedroom leaked. When reported to the owner (via email) the day after we learned about it, he stated he knew about it and apologized and stated a service person was coming in coming days to fix it. It would haven been nice to know about that before the rep left. We did get a pot out and placed it under the ac unit to collect the water and emptied as needed. Unsettling the first night as we didn't know how fast the leak would fill the pot, so we kept waking up to check on it. The big bed was not comfortable and not supportive, we both rolled in the middle and slept on a tilt for the 4 nights we were there. It was clean, the shower worked and it was quiet at night. A few extra hooks on the walls and luggage racks in the bedrooms would be nice additions.

Clean place and great location!

This property was very clean and smelled good throughout the week were there. It was smaller than the pictures led me to believe, but was fine for our trip. It is a great location which is more important than anything! The owner was great and helped set up train station pick up and drop off. I appreciated how attentive he was to us and responded very promptly to emails. I would recommend this to people because it was a positive experience for me!

Buen y moderno apartamento, muy céntrico y bien ubicado. Moderno y en general bien equipado. El apartamento es pequeñito pero muy completo, recién reformado y en general bien equipado. Echamos en falta algún equipamiento de limpieza pues íbamos con niños, pero fue solicitarlo y entregado casi de inmediato. La ubicación es buenísima, se puede llegar a todos los sitios a pie, la calle es más bien tranquila (aunque por la noche entra mucha luz en las habitaciones) y el precio también estaba muy bien. El dueño además fue muy amable permitiendo entrar pronto por la mañana el día de nuestra llegada (11h) y salir más tarde de lo habitual el día que marchábamos (18h), por lo que estamos muy agradecidos.
