We had a wonderful stay. The house, the view, and the surroundings are beautiful. The only downside was that the pool was chlorinated and not saltwater, as described in the listing.A stay here is highly recommended.

Amazing beautiful views and pool excellent

The property was amazing the pool was big and we had lots of fun there the owners were so helpful and friendly the local town was close and had everything you need restaurants and local shoes etc. the views were superb Rome is only an hour drive perfect place we will be returning at some point thankyou

Amazing views great pool area ( more loungers needed as property sleeps 6) rustic farmhouse style kitchen well stocked ( needs more wine glasses and larger tumblers ) friendly helpful owners

Perfect!

We had a very good time at Giorgio's place with our 3 kids between 8 and 13 years oud. A nice house with a perfect view and a good swimmingpool for hot days. Very quiet surrounding and a lot to see and to do. Not only visiting Rome is an option, but also beautiful villages and marvelous nature like Monte Tancia. The contact with Giorgio before and during our stay was very good and he was always available to help. We hope to visit this place again.

Fabulous holiday

We were blown away by the incredible view upon arrival and the pool was glorious. Giorgio was incredibly attentive to our every need - answering our queries immediately, providing local information he thought might be of interest and providing things we needed within minutes! The house is full of lovely artworks, we especially liked the watercolour paintings. We had a truly special holiday, thank you Giorgio.

a piece of paradise

Beautiful traditional family house. Amazing views. Lovely pool. I swam most days. Peaceful setting that we did not want to leave. Stayed for a month!. Giorgio and his sister were very helpful. Well stocked kitchen. We fell in love with Poggio Mirteto town. We had lovely walks, visited hill towns . Enjoyed Marmore falls and Narni in particular.. Easy access to train station in 20 minutes. Umberto on hand next door if there is a problem. Bliss....

house Full of Character

We are a middle aged couple who rented this house for a week in the middle of September 2015. I guess the house could be best described as 1960's style and is bursting with character and full of interesting things. We were very happy to spend a week in this spacious house. We occupied one of the 3 bedrooms. The bed was large and comfortable and with the shutters closed the room was cool and dark at night. The french windows in this room opened at upper ground level into the garden. The large split level living space was a pleasant area to relax in and is large enough to accommodate a normal family. The kitchen is large, well equipped and everything worked. The bathrooms (2) are fairly basic, but were perfectly adequate for our stay. In general the plumbing, electricity etc all worked perfectly. The advertised internet was not available. The garden is large and very nice to relax in. the view across the valley is fantastic. Ancient olive tree dominate the garden with herbs (I've never seen so much rosemary) and other shrubs scattered between. The pool is great, we swam every day, which in September is a novelty for us. The area is well placed for visits of all types with lakes, mountains, historical buildings and Rome itself all within about an hours drive,(car essential). If we were to visit the Lazio region again, this is the first place we would look to book.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche mit Freunden und unseren Kindern im Haus von Giorgio. Das Haus liegt wunderschön umgeben von Olivenbäumen mit einem traumhaften Ausblick auf die umliegede Landschaft. Es hat einen wunderbaren Flair und ist super ausgestattet. Der Pool bietet eine herrliche Abkühlung und wir hatten wunderbare Abende auf der schönen Terasse. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und die Kommunikation war sehr nett und unkompliziert. Danke, dass wir unseren Urlaub hier verbringen konnten. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Tim und Familie

Auszeit vom Alltagsstress

Wir waren für 4 Tage in dem Häusschen, wo man eine wunderschöne Aussicht genießen konnte. Der Check-in verlief reibungslos. Wir wurden durch das Haus geführt und haben alles erklärt bekommen. Die Küchenausstattung war völlig in Ordnung. Es war sogar ein Grill vorhanden. Der WLAN Empfang war hervorragend. Bis zum nächsten Supermarkt musste man ca. 10 Minuten fahren. Unser Check-out um 3 Uhr nachts konnte ohne Probleme stattfinden.

Exceptionnelle location dans la campagne traditionnelle italienne

La maison est typique et fonctionnelle. Le cadre…une vue à couper le souffle, la piscine est magnifique au milieu des oliviers. Des brasseurs d’air dans toute les chambres seraient parfait. Nous avons adoré séjourner dans ce havre de paix. Une maison unique avec des nombreux détails et décorations personnelles et artistiques. Nous avons ressentit une vraie ambiance familiale chaleureuse.

Schöner Aufenthalt vor den Toren Roms

Wir haben als Familie mit 6 Personen 2 Wochen in diesem geräumigen Haus verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus hat zwei Bäder, jeweils mit Dusche + WC, drei geräumige Schlafzimmer sowie eine zum Wohnzimmer offene Galerie mit Schlafsofa. Für die nötige Erfrischung bei den hochsommerlichen Temperaturen sorgt der gepflegte Pool. Wir genossen die Liegen im Schatten der Bäume und die absolute Ruhe. Der Garten im Olivenhain ist sehr schön angelegt, überall findet man duftende Rosmarinsträucher sowie Salbei und Thymian. Mit den beiden Terrassen am Haus findet man immer einen Platz im Schatten. Vom ganzen Grundstück hat man wunderbare Aussichten in die reizvolle Landschaft und sieht am Abend die erleuchteten Ausläufer von Rom. Nach Rom fährt man am besten mit dem Zug von Poggio Mirteto bis Rom Tiburtina. Von da aus kann man den örtlichen Nahverkehr nutzen. Alles in allem hatten wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub und kommen vielleicht einmal wieder.

wat een heerlijke woning en plek

heerlijk groot huis, mooie plek waarbij je vanaf de berg een prachtig uitzicht hebt. Grote tuin en een heerlijk zwembad wat veel meer open is dan of de foto's. In werkelijkheid is het veel beter dan op de foto's. De host is bijzonder vriendelijk. Dank voor een heerlijke week.

Wunderbarer Aufenhalt in Natur

Wir waren zwei wochenlang mit unseren zwei Kindern und unserem Hund in dem Landhaus. Wir haben jeden Augenblick genossen. Das Haus war sehr schön eingerichtet und gepflegt. Das Anwesen ist ca. 50 km von Rom entfernt. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Lage. Mann ist in der Natur und ist aber doch 50 km von Rom entfernt. Zwei Wochen nach dem Urlaub sind wir immer noch von dem Landhaus begeistert. Selbst die Kinder hatten in der Natur ihren Spass.

Großes Landhaus mit überragender Aussicht

Wir haben die Unterkunft für 5 Tage für einen Golfausflug unter Freunden gebucht. Das Haus ist sehr groß, mit 3 getrennten Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern, was für unsere Gruppe ideal war. Alles war makellos sauber. Wir haben die großzügige Terrasse mit der tollen Aussicht über die römischen Hügel ausgiebig genutzt. Die Kommunkation mit Giorgio lief schnell und unkompliziert. Danke für die schönen Tage.

splendida location

le foto non rendono l'idea della bellezza del luogo. la villa è adagiata su una collina di ulivi, panorami mozzafiato e tranquillità. Cucina perfettamente attrezzata con moderni elettrodomestici forno, lavastoviglie, un piccolo frigorifero più uno enorme con congelatore nel locale di servizio. Due bagni di cui uno con doccia walk-in, barbecue e lavatrice. Host molto disponibile e gentile. Torneremo.

Beautiful villa in the hills outside Rome

We had a wonderful time at Giorgio's place. We are 3 friends who stayed for the month of September and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Livia and Girogio were so friendly and made sure we had everything we could need - Giorgio very kindly kept the swimming pool open into October for us! The house is even more beautiful than the photographs and in a lovely, quiet area with spectacular views of the Sabine Hills and Rome. The kitchen is fully equipped, with three lovely bedrooms and two bathrooms made this the perfect space for us and the few friends that came to visit. While a car is essential, the local train station in Poggio Mirteto Scalo (about a 15/20 minute drive) meant that getting into Rome was easy and cheap. I highly recommend the area and Giorgio's place - thank you so much!

schönes Haus in schöner Umgebung

Das Ferienhaus liegt wunderschön gelegen in einem Olivenhain, mit herrlichem Ausblick auf die Landschaft. Hier ist für ausreichend Ruhe und Erholung gesorgt, Das Haus ist stilvoll eingerichtet und die Kommunikation mit Giorgio verlief sehr unkompliziert und er war bei Fragen sehr hilfsbereit. Ausflüge nach Rom oder in weniger bekannte sehr schöne alte Dörfer und Städte, oder an Badeseen oder Meer, sind mit etwas Fahrtweg auch gut machbar. Wer also fernab vom Tourismus etwas Ruhe sucht zum lesen, oder gerne Rennrad fährt, kann hier einen sehr schönen, erholsamen Urlaub verbringen.

Goed onderkomen in de buurt van Rome

Fraaie vakantiewoning voor 6 - 8 personen. Mooi uitzicht en fijn zwembad. Sommige zaken wat verouderd maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken. Grootste nadeel is dat in de avond en nacht de honden in de omgeving zeer goed te horen zijn.

Beautiful large house with a wonderful atmosphere and wonderful views. Private, quiet surroundings, and still only 10 minutes by car supermarkets, restaurants, gelateria and more. Everything works, and owners are super kind and helpful. Thank you very much, Giorgio and family! The pool was perfect for playing, relaxing and cooling down, you can also swim in the river 10 minutes away.
