The terrace view will worth it alone, You will think the view will be too good to be true based on the pictures, but it really is exactly as amazing as it looks! The view at the sight first thing in the morning from the terrace is magical! The smell of fresh bread wafts up. The terrace has table and chairs overlooking on the Duomo, a short walk from the apartment. Quiet apartment in the central part of Florence, two steps from Piazza del Duomo. Located on the third floor (with lift) of a building restored by the famous architect Giuseppe Poggi. If you arrive by train at Santa Maria Novella station you can reach the apt walking in around 10 minutes. It's the perfect space from which to explore all of Florence on foot, and a wonderful place to which to retreat when you're finished sightseeing.
The place is very well located, quiet but central. Lovenest also has an skylight and a private door to the terrace. This allows to open these, and you felt very safe and comfortable with the air conditioning at night, with the fresh and cool air at night in Florence. The apt is silent and quiet. No obvious noise is safe and you fell safe in the neighborhood. The location is perfect, out of the main tourist area but close enough to be convenient to walk everywhere. You really to feel like you were a part of Florence. The living room is great to chill and the kitchen has all the amenities including a breakfast table when it got too cold on the terrace. The place is very clean, secure and well equipped. with all amenities, air conditioning / heating, gas heating kettle, MOKA, washing machine, dryer Iron, ironing board, hairdryer. , WASHER , DRYER, Wi- Fi, TV kitchen, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, bedding and towels. The washer and dryer are a huge plus. The bed is very comfortable. The structures of the nineteenth-century buildings in the Old Town have no elevator. To reach the apartment in this building instead it was decided also to lift service
I hold to highlight that our apartment is equipped with dryer as well as the washing machine. We do not provide any breakfast.
The San Lorenzo district is the multitude of faces, cultures, flavors and perfumes to give the contemporary Renaissance aura that tells the history and beauty, nobility and harmony.

Great location for your stay in Florence. Easy walk from train station- 10 minutes. Patio and view of the Duomo is even better in person! Nice large modern bathroom, comfortable bed and good size eating area. Ceilings are a bit low if you are tall but the view and location made up for that, We were very happy and comfortable here in Florence. Great place!
Great apartment, great view of Duomo and Belltower, great location for walking around Florence, very quiet for sleeping, and very friendly apartment owner. Couldn’t have asked for anything better - Margaret and John Tait, Australia
This apartment was our favorite out of the 4 countries and 5 apartments we stayed at. Michelangelo is the best host. He made sure we new how to work everything in the apartment. Gave recommendations on what to see and where to eat. He even walked us to a place to get the best coffee in Florence. The apartment was so nice and clean. Had everything we needed. The terrace is so nice. We sat out there and played cards and just hung out. Thank you Michelangelo for letting us stay at your place. We do plan on coming back to Florence and we would love to stay at your place again. Book this place and you will love it as much as we did.

Great Location
Very comfortable apartment. Any shortcomings ( compact bathroom) can be forgiven due to the central location and amazing view from the terrace. Michelangelo was an accommodating host who made us feel welcome.

Excellent Location and View!
The Lovenest is a nice apartment centrally located in the city center. The terrace had a great view of the Duomo which was the highlight. Easily can walk to the train station with small luggage. Bed was good but could use a thicker blanket for those cooler nights. When it was hot though, the air condition was nice. The bathroom is updated, but a tad tight. People are right that you have to watch your head if you are tall. Elevator is nice to have as it is on the top floor, but it is tiny. Better than walking up the stairs though! A grocery store and bakery is just down the road and very convenient. Easy check in and check out with Michelangelo. I would recommend this place.

Charming Little Apartment, Good Location
Visited Florence for a couple of days while touring Italy with my college-age daughter. The apartment worked very well for us. Clean, nicely appointed in a great location with easy walking to the train station, Duomo, etc. Only used the little (and I mean little!) elevator for move in and out with our luggage and it was sufficient. It was hot when we were there and we appreciated the A/C, however it did drip on my head in the night as it's placed over the bed. But it just required me to reposition myself a little more. The terrace was lovely, especially at night. We dined out most of the time, except for breakfast, when we brought some things back and enjoyed on the terrace. There's a nice litttle place around the corner to get cappuccino and pastries and a market for essentials. Easy-peasy!

We loved the Lovenest!
We want to thank Michaelangelo for the pleasure of staying in the Lovenest. The location was perfect for walking everywhere important and unique in Venice. Our favorite aspect was the incredible terrace view of the Duomo and the feeling of staying in a very unique, historical property. The air conditioning was so very important and appreciated, too! Our only suggestion is that you update dishes, pans, utensils, and wine glasses. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay! Thank you! ~ Brent and Laura

Ah---that view!
After taking the itty-bitty elevator (truly---one person and one suitcase or two people is the capacity!) and then climbing one set of stairs to the top floor, you will be rewarded with the most beautiful view of the Duomo. We enjoyed our stay in this small but charming apartment. It is well-located for touring and is surrounded by wonderful places to eat.
A warning to tall people: those beams are closer than you might think!

Great views and excellent host
Spent a week here in April and enjoyed every minute of it! The view from the terrace is amazing and the location is perfect. Just outside of the heavy tourist area and within easy walking distance of every thing. Michelangelo's recommendations for restaurants were spot on! Really enjoyed every meal. Michelangelo gave a great, informative orientation and was a very gracious host. When we had a small problem with the boiler he came instantly and fixed the problem immediately. I highly recommend this excellent property. Thanks for a great time, Michelangelo!

Darling apartment in the heart of Florence
Michealangelo is a terrific host, we arrived a bit early and the apartment wasn’t yet ready, so he took us out to breakfast. He made terrific recommendations on places to eat and how to get around. The apartment is very conveniently located to everything you’ll want to do during your stay. The terrace has an amazing view!! And Michaelangelo even provided us with laundry detergent so we could clean our clothes while we stayed. We were thrilled to discover the clothes dryer!! We thourghly enjoyed our visit to Florence and were very happy we chose to stay at the Lovenest.

Great location, facilities & host!
My wife & I spent 3 nights at the Lovenest, and loved it! It was an easy walk (a little less than 15 minutes) to get from the Florence Santa Maria Novella Train station to Lovenest. The location is a 10 minute walk to the Duomo, about 15 to the Ufizzi & close to the Academia Gallery. Lovenest is within steps of great Cafe's, Bakery's and restaurants. The restaurant directly and left across the street had a great Florence T-Bone! The bakery down the street (left-left as you exit) was stellar.
The host, Michelangelo, was very responsive before our arrival (this is not always the case w/VRBO hosts... making us comfortable that we would actually have a place once we got to Florence). He met us, and gave us a great tour of accommodations & surrounding facilities. He even had brochures for local restaurants and shopping, and maps! For those of us who don't speak
Key items of the accommodations included:
- Good sized Kitchen w/stove, microwave, refrigerator, etc.
- Washer & Dryer!!! Michaelangelo also supplied deturgent
- Iron & Ironing Board
- Living Room
- Nice size Bathroom
- Bedroom
- Terrace w/table & chairs with a view of the Duomo
- A/C & WiFi!
- Trash & Recyclables can be placed just down Guelfa street (left) in the receptacles, when you leave.
Most of our time was spent being a tourist, but time we spent at Lovenest was very comfortable. We would get a bottle of wine from the cafe down the street, and sit on the terrace and just look at the Duomo and stars. The bed was very comfortable.
Lovenest also had an open-able skylight, and private door to the terrace. This allowed us to open these, and we felt very safe & comfortable with the AC off at night, with the fresh & cool Florence night air.
Lovenest was quiet. No noticeable noise. It was secure, and we felt very safe in the neighborhood.
We had 2 people, but I believe the couch can handle 2 more as a pull-out. Plenty of room.
When we go back to Florence, we hope to stay at Lovenest again!

Beautiful, convenient, cozy!
My husband & I recently stayed in Michelangelo's property and we cannot recommend it enough to future travelers. The location was perfect, away from the crowds, but easy to get to all main attractions. There is a lift, very small one, but good enough to fit luggage. Michelangelo met us promptly and was very nice & accommodating. He provided us with many great food recommendations, had a map for us, and showed us around the house. The unit has laundry and he also provided us with soap pods. We cannot gush enough about the terrace and the view! This alone makes the place, but luckily the rest of the unit is great too. Bathroom was immaculate, small, as most rentals are in Italy. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, dish soap, etc. The air conditioning was key as we traveled in the summer months. Overall, we would highly recommend this gem!

Absolutely amazing view!
The apartment is a gem in a city of beauty. My wife and I spent many hours on the terrace looking at the Duomo and listening to bell tower. The place is very kept up and has a rustic feel to it. Michelangelo is an amazing host with some very good recommendations. We would certainly come back here again and recommend it to anyone going to Florence.

Attic apartment in Florence
A rustic apartment with a certain amount of charm. On a busy street, close to Accademia and within walking distance of all you want to see in Florence. Tiny elevator and then steep stairs into the apt. Comfortable living/kitchen area, small bedroom, small no-shade terrace with nice view.
Negatives: Not so much as a grain of salt in the kitchen so you have to bring everything that you need for meals. When I asked about this, Michelangelo said that leaving groceries was not allowed by the Italian gov't. (Now staying in Venice with fully equiped kitchen). There is a sewer smell that can be strong. Also noise from nieghbors at night (with windows open).
Michelangelo met us promptly at the apartment upon our arrival.
