The Commons at Seashell is a great spot for renting one unit for up to 10 people or renting multiple units for up to 90 people for family reunions, retreats and gatherings of friends. There is a large, shared pool, hammocks for relaxing, picnic tables for outdoor cookouts under the shade of a cabana in the center of the units. Each unit has an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day of playing in the sand. All bedrooms are located upstairs. Approximately four blocks from the beach.

The Sea La Vie townhome provides a TV with cable in every bedroom and a large wall-mounted flat-screen TV in the living room. The vibrantly colored living room contains a sectional with chaise and a sleeper sofa, perfect for gathering and viewing movies. A full-size washer and dryer are located in the foyer entry for your convenience. The full kitchen will meet your culinary needs with a spacious island for prepping, white appliances, a regular drip coffee maker, dishes, basic pots, pans and utensils. Sit down for meals at the dining table with ample seating for eight. The bottom level is also equipped with a half bath. Venture up to the second level to the master bedroom (BR1) which holds a Queen bed, wall-mounted TV, closet and an ensuite bathroom with a vanity and stand-alone shower. The guest bedroom (BR2) is made up of a Queen bed, TV and closet. Kids will love the bunk room (BR3) consisting of a set of Full over Full bunk beds, wall-mounted TV and floor space to stretch out and play. The guest rooms share a hall bath furnished with a vanity and a tub/shower unit. The floors are cement on the ground floor and pine upstairs for easy clean-up. The walls are 10" thick pine to keep things quiet and cozy. Take advantage of the shared amenities like cooling off in the shared pool after a day at the beach, swinging in a hammock in the island breeze and cooking up the day's catch on the charcoal grills. Approximately 0.6 miles to the beach and 0.9 miles to restaurants, shops and nightlife. Come experience the laid-back pace of island time.

Beach house with pool

Check in was super easy. I was emailed all my info. Home was cozy. Only downside was limited towels and kitchen things. But wasn't a big deal. The pool.being right un from was very convenient. Pool water was nice and cool.

Great stay!

Everything was smooth. Our outdoor shower got stuck running and someone came and fixed it. We found a few ants and they came and sprayed. We left 2 beach chairs that we didn’t want just sitting at our house. I hope people will enjoy them! The people that stayed around us were so fun!

A bit wet

The condo was clean, comfortable, and neatly decorated. We did have an issue with water leaking through the downstairs ceiling. The owner sent a maintenance man to assess the water, but was unable to figure out where the water was coming from. We stopped using the bathtub above the leak after the leak first appeared, which left our party of 7 using one bathroom for the rest of the stay. Even without using the tub, the leak continued for the next 4 days that we were there, at times dripping on the kitchen counter.(YUCK!!!) The management provided us with extra towels to help clean up the puddles and promptly repaired a broken dryer belt. Other than the water, the condo was fun. The large, open bottom floor was great for our family to hang out. The pool area was a bit lacking on furniture (maybe about 8 chairs, no loungers) but was clean and well maintained. There were a few neighbors that blatantly disregarded the 10pm quiet time, but everybody was friendly.

Super cute accommodation

Positives. Family centric spot, super cute accommodation. Plenty of room for the 5 of us and 2 goldens. A minor short walk to the beach. Close to the restaurants and store. Would recommend to familys with kids, pool is enclosed and central. If your kiddos can swim the pool is the best. Negatives we had to call the office as we had no arrival instructions. Evidently there are tech problems if ur carrier is verizon. The floor was not clean we went out and bought cleaning stuff for it. After 2 moppings it was clean. The queen bed next to the bunk room had dirty sheets and pillowcases. There was clean linens in the closet so we changed the bed. Our problems were minor and easily solved.

Check in process was easy and fast, condo was well stocked with linens, lots of space for our group, only missing a baking sheet, was able to communicate with front office easily, pool was nice, quiet little area. Overall great experience

We got in Late and had to do late check-in and we drove around trying to find the # on house, we had 2 cars , kids and everything so took us almost hour walking around looking for our property. Otherwise after we finally found house rest of trip was Really Nice

Hello Kenneth, We are glad you had a positive experience staying at the Commons, we wanted to add that we understand the temperature of the water was not to your liking, however, we did go over to your units several times to look at the temperature of the water that came in at 103 degrees, it can be pretty hot in South Texas and water heat levels were not to your liking, we did send out a local plumbing company to inspect the issue and left us with no hot water for a weekend, we ended up getting it replaced ourselves and offered a different place for you to stay that weekend at no cost to you and cheryl. We understand that you did not like the temperature of the water, but it was not cold water. Thanks, Life in Paradise

Reviewer Comments: Pool pump area was extremely loud, pool temperature was very warm, was not notified there was construction going on, not enough parking on the weekend, smoke alarms chirping all night, fans not balanced and made a lot of noise when turned on, remote for tv in spare room did not work, towels/sheets were dry but stained and did not smell clean. Couch was covered in sand. The set up of the houses were very convenient for a large family, this could be an awesome place.

Reviewer Comments: The house was pretty, good space, nice location from the beach, well stocked kitchen..but the sheets on the pullout were not clean(sand and sticker burrs), there was no backup toilet paper (which is standard at any hotel), the AC didn't reach upstairs very well, master bedroom needs curtains for the morning sun is bright, the pool is way too hot, oh and there were condom wrappers in the bunk bed room.

No issues with the townhouse or its setup. Exterior did have some buildings under construction, with some areas taped off. I imagine once they are complete this property would be just perfect.
