Built in 1947, this unique log home offers a perfect spot for a restful retreat from the noise and hustle of daily life. Arrive by the long, mysterious driveway (drive slowly) and wander the acres of green, sloping lawn and orchard. With proper gear and a good sense of direction, enjoy a short walk in the woods. From the deck watch bunnies run across the grass or gaze out to the mountains. Curl up with a good book. On a clear night, watch for falling stars far from the light pollution of the city. Black Mountain, Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway are only minutes away. Camp Rockmont (the site of the LEAF Festival) is only a few hundred feet. This property abounds with quiet, privacy, and character.
Carrie's Escape includes WiFi, Roku TV (with streaming capability- no cable), and a gas grill. outdoor fire pit Notes: 4 x 4 is not required; please, drive in and out slowly. The last part of the driveway ascends slightly. At points, vehicles with low clearance may scrape the bottom. The entrance to Camp Rockmont is a few hundred feet beyond our driveway. For star-gazing or other outside activities, please do not use linens from inside the house. Food should NOT be left outside. Sorry, but no pets are allowed at Carrie's Escape.
