Our Chalet offers a large loft Bedroom with a queen bed. Beautiful views of the Mogollon Rim from the bed, and of the National Forest to the back. Downstairs bedroom has full bed. In the living room you will find a wonderful wood burning stove. The living room has incredible views from the cathedral like windows. Kitchen has everything except your food. I stay here every year. Unfortunately this year my stay was cut short by the Washington fire- my cats and i had to evacuate. Communication with the host through this stressful time was excellent and my safety was clearly a top priority. I'm very happy the cabin didn't burn so I can come back next year!
The house is surrounded by the forest. Has nice natural lighting from a beautiful large window in the living room. We had everything we needed to cook & relax there. There's a creek across the street with a quiet neighborhood for walking. The host was very responsive and pleasant. We look forward to staying here again!
We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cabin in the woods. The scenery from the big front windows is beautiful. And it is minutes from Washington Park if youre looking to do some hiking.
Was very clean and private couldn't recommend more! Only 20 min from payson and 30 from strawberry. Tons of hiking and stuff to do around the area. Owner was very communicating.
My daughter requested to stay at the "Green Cabin" again for her birthday. We all love it there! Great location, plenty of room for us, and nice and quiet. We had a great time.
This a great place for some peace and quite in the woods. The cabin is roomy and very clean. The extra plus is it close to hiking. The Washington Park TH is just up the road, which provides miles of great trails.
We were looking for something that was off the beaten path and quiet. This property met that expectation perfectly. The accommodation itself was lovely, with a fully stocked kitchen. The bathroom and sleeping areas were lovely as well. It was very nice to be able to go out for an early morning hike starting from the property. Loved it! Our favorite part though was interacting with the host Gabe. He was very responsive and went out of his way to respond quickly and to streamline the process. He did a fantastic job.
Exactly what I needed…..a few days out of the Phoenix heat. Very quiet, residential location, with much privacy and friendly neighbors. My dog and I were able to hike and walk the neighborhood several times a day. I especially appreciated the small fenced-in area behind the house to let my dog be off-leash. I don’t think I saw that bit of information in the listing. I also found a wooden baby-gate in the loft that I used to block off one side of the patio to keep my dog contained as I relaxed on the lounge chair. The stainless steel water/food bowls were a nice surprise! YES, I will book again at this property next summer.
We love leaving the hustle of our daily lives in Phoenix to escape to Gabriel's Chalet. Its the perfect spot to relax, unwind, go for long walks/hikes, and just escape. We've been coming for a few years now and its just perfect!
Although this cabin is in a neighborhood, it feels secluded which is exactly what we were looking for! The kitchen is well stocked and our dogs enjoyed all the new smells in the woods. We had a great time!
Our family throughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. We were looking for a place to disconnect and enjoy fanily time. This was the place. Hiking near by and plently of nature to enjoy. If you need a place to disconnect this is the place. Our dogs loved it as well. We can't wait to be back.
This cabin is a true treasure. Tucked away in a beautiful wooded area with nature all around, beautiful place to unplug and relax. The cabin was clean and had all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay and the host was excellent at communications road conditions and instructions.
Lovely scenic area. Host was exceptionally kind and helpful. Elevation is 5000+ feet. There is a river nearby to walk to and numerous hiking trails. Cabin is somewhat secluded, however, if you walk down the driveway… There are many friendly neighbors. Place was immaculate and welcoming when we arrived.
LOVE this cabin! A little hard to find but once you do - it's awesome! You feel like you are in the forest but there are neighbors, but the cabin is surrounded by trees.. The cabin was clean but the coffee pot (Krupps) was pretty scaled up and corners not clean on the floor. LOVE the coffee choices! The picnic table on the deck was pretty rickety but ok. Definitely a good experience. No cable but a smart TV. We will definately be back! The owner was awesome!
Dan and I had an extraordinary time at the Chalet in the Forest. Our property host communicated politely and completely from the first interaction throughout our stay. She gave very clear directions, which we needed as the chalet was remote and would have been hard to find otherwise. Our chalet was tucked away in the woods, quiet, and well supplied with all the necessary essentials for our home away from home. Coffee and tea were provided as well as a little snack when we arrived. The beds were comfortable, AC efficient and there were fans as well to move the air. The chalet was clean, tidy, cutely furnished as well as a clean and beautiful deck with furniture and a wonderful grill. We were in the forest, literally and we saw deer, elk and a little band of forest pigs walked through area in the very early morning hours while we were up and star gazing in enjoying our first coffee of the day. Absolutely enchanting stay.
Nice cottage for 2. It was clean and had all we needed for 3 nights. Beautiful views. Would love better mattresses and new bedding. Owner should look at the wooden deck, steps and porch. Several nail heads sticking up and some very weak railings as well as boards. Could be hazardous if you aren’t paying attention. Overall nice, quiet and fairly easy to get to.
