Great Family Weekly Rental House Located Across The Street From Wells Beach

The perfect spot for a family that loves swimming, surfing, relaxing walks and all the great activities a beach vacation has to offer. A few steps and you are on one of the most beautiful beaches in Maine. Public way for beach is located directly across the street and there is access to the back harbor. Back harbor is an excellent place for kayaking and paddle boarding. Covered front porch is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. Back deck has plenty of seating and is the perfect spot to grill out after a day at the beach and watch the beautiful sunsets.

This home is well equipped with modern appliances including a dish washer, microwave, five TVs, DVD player, VCR, cable and internet. There is gas grill located on the back deck, an outside shower-cold, and parking for 2 vehicles. It sleeps 8: 2 queens, 1 full, 1 full size pullout and 1 full bath.

Great location and house!

The house was just great, on top of a really convenient location! The house has lots of space and the beds were very comfortable. We went the first few days not thinking there was any cable, but it just turned out my younger sister did not know how to work the TV, lol! The owner was fabulous - super friendly, easy going and available for any questions you may have. Needless to say, we will definitely be back :)

Great location

Despite the oppressive humidity we endured for the first 5 days, I give this place a 5 star based on the owner's attentiveness and the house location. Pros: Location Attentive owner Beds comfortable Cleanliness So many porches to choose from :) Cons: House uncomfortable if high humidity otherwise amazing (bring own fans) Everything is upfront in the listing in terms of the need to bring own sheets/towels and no washer/dryer. I only listed that con because it was very uncomfortable due to the weather. We let the owner know the fans she had were not useful. We went and bought our own which made it doable. Once the humidity dropped it was the perfect house. I wish we had that weather the whole week. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to be a hop, skip and a jump from the beach.

Everything we hoped for.

Sandy was great and available if we needed anything. The house was everything we hoped for. Typically we eat out all the time and try different beaches on our vacations but we cooked in and stayed home the entire trip. Unless we were in search for the perfect lobster roll. We were at the beach everyday multiple times. It’s hard not to be, Sandy has a great spot right across from a public way.

Great house at a great location!

The house had everything needed for a wonderful vacation. Loved the front and back decks. Watch the sunrise and the sunset. Can hear the ocean as it lulls you to sleep. Beach access right across the street.

Privileged Location

If you are looking for a house in Wells Beach, this house is exactly as advertised and our group had a great time. The owner was very nice and helpful. Pleasantly surprising things we didnt know: This house was at the quiet end of the beach where the shore is very deep and you always had plenty of room and a perfect beach spot all day long. The longer we were there the more we realized what a huge benefit this was. Also, there are beautiful water views from BOTH sides of the house which we hadn't realized and the estuary behind the house makes the back deck that much more lovely. People in this community are physically close (property wise) and neighborly. It's harmonious and warm and you feel as though you are immersed in the Wells Beach experience. If you know you need lots of space and privacy and want to walk around naked on your deck, chose another location. You do need to bring your own linens. We forgot dish towels and bath mats and that was a bummer.

Wonderful, unique beach rental. Our family has stayed here for over ten years. Only steps away from the best part of uncrowded Wells Beach, Maine. Ocean or marsh views from each window. Catch the sunrise from the front porch and sunsets from the rear deck. Great property for entertaining or just kicking back and relaxing. Easy access to Route 1 & 95 with many restaurants, shopping, attractions, etc. very close by. Owner is super-friendly and on-site if any problems arise. Ample parking and everything needed for a carefree, memorable beach experience.

Wonderful Vacation

We spent a lovely week here. The house is older, not fancy, but large and very well-equipped. Best is that it is right across the street from the beach, a wonderful, white-sand stretch with plenty of room to spread out and great swimming. Sandy, the owner, is super friendly and helpful. The house has a wonderful deck in back and a great porch in the front. I worried a little about having only one bathroom, since we were two couples and a child, but it was no problem, the facilities were just fine. Will definitely want to spend more time here.
