The more secluded Tramore Strand on Horn Head is ideal for bracing walks.For golfers there is a variety of links courses to choose from. The 18 hole Dunfanaghy Links is 5 minutes drive way , Falcarragh is 15 minutes and the superb links courses at Rosapenna and Portsalon are less than 30 minutes away
For walking enthusiasts, the cottage is located at the start of the very scenic road that winds itself around the Horn Head Peninsula. In the wider region around the cottage Errigal and Muckish Mountains offer excellent climbs for both novice and experienced hill walkers alike. There are also numerous trails around Ards Forest Park
Local Attractions include Dunfanaghy Workhouse, Doe Castle, Dunlewey Centre, Glenveagh National Park, Tory Island, and The Poisoned Glen all within 30 minutes drive away. Horse riding is available at the stables at Arnolds Hotel in Dunfanaghy.
