Cottage is in a fabulous location within walking distance to Black Mountain town. The location allowed easy access to the activities we wanted to do in and around the Black Mountain area. It had all the amenities we needed. I was working remotely and the owner even provided me with a desk! The owner was really responsive and flexible. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to a work issue and family emergency and the owner was very accommodating. I would definitely stay again.
Good location easy access to downtown black mountain and to get on the 40 to go to other areas.A store next door to house.Nice size rooms in house.Nice backyard good size.
Needed a place to stay over Thanksgiving since my relatives didn't have enough room in their own house. Slow Pace cottage was perfect for us - comfortable, all the things we needed, dog-friendly. I would stay here again.
We were looking to purchase a house in Asheville. Spent a week here and it worked out great. Not our usual Salida Colorado area.

cozy and comfy
We had a wonderful stay at Slow Pace over Easter weekend. It rained about 1/3 of the time we were there so the covered patio was great. The big fenced in yard was perfect for our two dogs. The house was well equipped and comfortable. And despite being on a somewhat busy road, it was nice and quiet. Our girls also loved the front porch swing!

Immaculate and Adorable!
My husband and I, along with our dog, enjoyed our stay so much. The house is immaculate, and yet, everything we needed was right at our fingertips! Our dog loved the backyard as much as we did - it is huge and beautiful. This is an amazing location and very close to town. We went to a show at Pisgah Brewing, so we decided to make a weekend of it and used this as our home base. It was just perfect! Thank you so much, Belinda! While this was a parents' getaway, we kept talking about how much our 3 year old would have loved it too!

Charming with thoughtful touches
This home is absolutely adorable! Belinda has added many nice touches and little amenities that are much appreciated. Books and games, tea bags from local vendors, dog bowls, extra toothbrushes, etc. We got to explore a lot of Asheville, but also loved hanging out and playing games in the living room. The yard was much bigger than I expected and the dogs went nuts running around with all of that space! We are already talking about returning! The home is convenient to good restaurants, hiking, and downtown Asheville. Great location!
We loved our stay at Slow Pace in Black Mountain NC. The location is great, close to town and hiking trials. The house was perfect for us and our dog. The yard is fenced and our husky loved running around in it. In addition to the 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage there is a very large outdoor covered space. We spent many hours there, reading, drinking tea, grilling and eating dinner. We also appreciated the many thoughtful extras inside the house such as the nightlights and the well equipped kitchen. Belinda was quick to respond to any questions or concerns by text. We would definitely stay there again!

Convenient and Cute
Belinda's little bungalow was a great place to be while we explored Black Mountain, Asheville, and Swannanoa, where my husband was teaching at a music camp. The big fenced yard was definitely a plus, although my two dachshunds weren't used to the busy traffic on the corner, and they barked at everything that moved. Nevertheless, nobody complained. The house was comfortable and homey. The wifi was good, but my AT&T cell phone service was weak or nonexistent. My friend's Verizon service was normal. In any case, there was a house phone available when I needed to call out. Nice place, and I hope to return.
Close to town, easy to locate, liked having a convenience store next door, lighting was good. Our dog loved the fenced-in back yard and there was a nice sitting area out back for the people as well.
What stands out about this property is that Belinda has really made an effort to prepare for any visitor. Charging stations, umbrellas, walking sticks, bug spray, extra linens everywhere, books, games, both pod and ground coffee, night lights, notes attached to things. It's really unlikely you'll show up to this property and wish you had brought that thing you always forget when you travel. By far the most ready-to-live-here place I've ever stayed.
If you're planning to book this place, be aware that it's a small house with old pipes and no bathtub. Getting the shower temp correct is tricky. This wasn't a big deal to us, but I don't want you to be surprised.
Location is great. We walked into town every day. Lovely front porch and large covered area in the back yard for relaxing. We didn't bring a pet, but one would have a great time here. Belinda responds quickly to messages. Just an all-around great place to stay if you're looking for something simple. We'll be back.
Superb location, and the house had everything we needed. We could tell a lot of energy was put into amenities. Great backyard and walkable to downtown. Our host was super responsive with our one request. Looking forward to staying again soon!
Wonderful home. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Very clean. Owner provided amenities in case something was forgotten. Location perfect for activities in Black Mountain, Montreat and Asheville.
This property was perfect for me, my 2 sons, & my 8 year old grandson! The location was ideal, furnishings were cozy & warm, a well stocked kitchen IF I wanted to cook, the huge fenced backyard (for my standard poodle to run & play), a fire pit, large covered patio with a grill & ample seating, homey front porch for neighborhood watching, comfortable beds, plenty of linens on hand, AND the home was all decorated for the Christmas holidays. I only regret that we weren’t able to stay longer due to obligations that allowed just a 2 night stay. I highly recommend this home in Black Mountain.
This was an awesome place to stay. Easy to get to Montreat for a conference. Loved the coziness, bed was comfortable, property was very clean and front porch was awesome!
We absolutely loved this cottage. Location was great and it is a fabulous place to stay with your fur baby. Great, very large fenced yard. House has everything you need and is so cutely decorated.
We love the area and will definitely be staying at Slow Pace again !!!
