Great country house with lots of charm and character, located in a unique area, secluded and quiet, with a beautiful view over the ocean and mountains, a few minutes walk away from the town centre.
It boasts:
On the ground floor: living area, fireplace, large kitchen, American-style bar, 1 bedroom (2 single beds) with en-suite shower room including 1 toilet.
Upstairs: 2 double bedrooms with 2 en-suite bathrooms (including 1 with Jacuzzi bathtub) and 2 toilets, a sauna.

The villa and its pool are nestled in a wooded park where all the tree and shrub species of the Algarve grow.
In its garden, you will find rare rose bushes, agave and fruit trees.
At 460 m altitude, at a turn in a footpath the city of Monchique offers the spectacle of the sea, the freshness of crystal clear water crashing against the rocks, the orchards and terraced vegatable crops.

The house and its property Are beautiful. Beautiful view over the mountains and Ocean. We spent lots of time in the pool and went for several walks, some short, some for a half day. Exactly what we wouldve hoped for!

A very comfortable solid little home from home. Very well equipped with an incredible swimming pool which we spent most of our time in. The undercover parking was a definite plus. I fully recommend.

Excellent property, great for romantic getaways as has completely separate bedroom for a couple while plenty of room for a family (or two) in the main house. Lovely views and very close to supermarkets and shopping 10/10

Idyllic private getaway in the mountains

A beautiful property, very well equipped and an absolute tranquil setting with everything you could need within a 5 minute drive. Very private and remote off the tourist track a slice of heaven. Local restaurants are excellent too.

Unique Getaway

Charming and unique property minutes above Monchique. We had a lovely week here and enjoyed all aspects of this property. Eastern exposure gets the morning sun with shade splashing across the outside living areas by mid-afternoon. Walking distance to several excellent restaurants. Fabulous and highly recommended!

Great stay on a central place in the Algarve

The house is beautiful with a lot of extras ( swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool). The property is big, quiet and has a lovely view. It is situated not far from the south and west coast of Portugal. Some furniture is outdated and has to be replaced. Thanks for having us.

Beautiful private estate in Monchique

Nice traditional place on a large estate. Room for 2 couples had we known how spacious it was. Owners are very nice and helpful people and they have engaged a fantastic local property manager in the event that they are out of the country during a rental.

Mountain biking Monchique

Lovely villa with character. Large shared living space. Rooms large - twin on ground floor 2 en suite rooms one almost a mezzanine and one accessed through a separate door outside the building. We didn’t try the sauna or pool as it was February. Kitchen has everything to cater for a large group with a big dining table.Log burner was fantastic.Great location halfway up the valley side above Monchique.

Fantastic

Lovely property, well situated just outside Montchique. Very well appointed and comfortable. Delightful and helpful hosts. The only downside is that the third bedroom is in a tiny room with two single beds. Not only claustrophobic and would be intolerable, given it has not a/c, in summer temperatures.

Mountain retreat

Lovely villa in a very tranquil area of Monchique with wonderful views. Fabulous heated pool with sun loungers and shaded sitting area. Pretty garden to explore with added bonus of a sauna. The villa is very well equipped with everything you need to self cater if you wish, but there are also restaurants within walking distance. Thank you to Pascal (the owner) and Eulalia (manager) for your lovely welcome and help during our holiday. Both Phil & I highly recommend your lovely villa.

A perfect holiday

A great place to stay, lovely location in the mountains and a amazing villa with everything you needed. Great pool and house surrounded by nature. The host were very helpful and friendly. The local town Monchique was very nice with a few good restaurants our favourite was Velochique. We went when there was a festival on which was great to see all the locals out. The town also had a great Lido for the kids costing 1Euro each. Food and drink was also very cheep. The villa was a perfect place to explore the rest of the algarve. A big thank you, we miss it already

A Unique Experience

Outstanding property, perfect for a restful 15 days which was exactly what we were seeking. The pool and sauna are very private and we enjoyed daily. It’s a week equipped Villa with the added bonus of being within walking distance of two excellent restaurants. The orange and grapefruit trees provided us with an excellent breakfast each morning. The view from the property is remarkable. We’re already planning our next visit. Thank you Pasquale and Eulalia.

Wonderful week

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was bigger than expected with several different spaces to enjoy, depending on the time of day, and all with great views. Both Eulalia and Pascal were very welcoming and helpful. We planned to do quite alot of walking during our stay and found plenty of great walks nearby. (For those interested we would recommend viaalgarviana.org). We also like to cook and found plenty of utensils to use in the kitchen. There are also some great restaurants in walking distance, we really enjoyed Luar da Foia (reservation needed).

Awesome Accommodations and Gardens

We found the property exactly as advertised and perfect for our family of 7 (grandparents, daughter, her spouse and 3 children ages 3 to 8). The separate accommodations for Grandma and Grandpa worked out nicely allowing a space to occasionally "chill" and a break from the high activity of the young ones. Furnishings were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the gardens with fresh fruit trees and all types of flora were a delight for all ages. It was especially convenient to have both a washer and dryer available with our children who go through clothes quickly. The option of using the beautifully enclosed sunroom or the open patio to take in the view on cool nights and warm mornings/afternoons was a big plus. The property is convenient by car to the town of Monchique for shopping and nice restaurants are just a short walk away through the gardens. Lastly, the grandkids welcomed the opportunity to play in the heated pool as a break from touring the Algarve sites. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who enjoys being away from the hub bub of tourism. The owner and property manager couldn't have been more pleasant to work with and so easy to communicate with.

Het huis biedt alles om gezellig te verblijven en lekker zelf te koken. De veranda geeft de gelegenheid met minder weer toch buiten te verblijven. We hebben een hele fijne week gehad. Als enige opmerking zou ik nog willen maken dat bepaald (buiten)meubilair comfortabeler zou kunnen.

Ein Haus zum WohlfĂŒhlen mit traumhaftem Pool Wir haben schon viele FerienhĂ€user gemietet und dies gehört zu den allerschönsten. Die ruhige Lage, die schöne Aussicht, das riesige GrundstĂŒck, das großzĂŒgige, gut ausgestattete, gemĂŒtliche, saubere Haus mit gut funktionierender Heizung und Klimaanlage, der schöne nach Osten ausgerichtete Wintergarten (vollstĂ€ndig zu öffnen, wunderbare SonnenaufgĂ€nge, nachmittags Schatten) und nicht zuletzt von dem traumhaften Pool können wir nur schwĂ€rmen; so schön angelegt, lang und durchgehend tief, so dass man wunderbar schwimmen kann, klares, angenehmes, sauberes Wasser und völlig uneinsehbar! Da es eine Beleuchtung gibt, kann man auch in der Nacht schwimmen!Die friedvolle AtmosphĂ€re am Pool ist herrlich.Wir sind sowohl an die SĂŒdalgarve wie an die Westalgarve gefahren.; der Weg vor allem an die landschaftlich ausgesprochen reizvolle Westalgarve ist sehr schön. Die StrĂ€nde Praia da Armoreira und Praia de Odeceixe haben uns sehr gut gefallen.In 2km Entfernung gibt es einen gut sortierten Intermarche, so dass die Lebensmittelversorgung völlig problemlos war. Last but not least: Eulalia ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit, alle unsere Anfragen an sie wurden prompt beantwortet, sie gab uns wertvolle Tipps und man merkt, dass es ihr ein Anliegen ist den Aufenthalt fĂŒr die GĂ€ste so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten, vielen herzlichen Dank an dich.

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit einem tollen GrundstĂŒck. Das Haus wurde liebevoll gestaltet, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt. Es ist absolut ruhig gelegen und wir hatten einen phantastischen Ausblick von der Terrasse aus.Allerdings ist Einiges schon in die Jahre gekommen und mĂŒsste ersetzt werden. Auch war es leider nicht sehr gut gereinigt worden vor unserem Aufenthalt. Aber wir hatten trotzdem einen wunderschönen und entspannten Urlaub.
