Quiet oasis from busy Rome

Hosts were very helpful during check-in and with any questions we had. Lovely apartment in quiet neighborhood close to some restaurants and supermarkets. Loved the outdoor area where a mating pair of turtle doves had a nest in a tree and would visit when you were outside. Overall great stay with great hosts.

Great Trip to Rome

We stayed three nights - Arturo and Marcella were exceptional hosts. Their apt is a little outside of town in a quiet area (which we loved), but quite accessible via public transportation.

Great stay in Rome

Great location in a residential area in Trastevere. Quiet and spacious with a beautiful garden. Arturo made us feel so at home, gave us great local recommendations when it rained and even drove us to the airport! The beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Rome experience

We really enjoyed our stay with Marcella and Arturo. They were so kind, helpful and made sure we had all the info needed to get around easily. The 2 bedroom apartment was very clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The patio was a nice place to relax and enjoy the sounds of the neighborhood.

Arturo and his wife have a beautiful apartment. The location is very good for getting to know Rome. Close to the center by bus and walking to visit Trastevere. The garden of the house is beautiful. I definitely recommend it.

Our hosts Marcella and Arturo were most welcoming and helpful! Great location to walk to Vatican, Testavere, many historical sights and beautiful viewing areas. Easy to get to and from the pleasant neighborhood with good bus service close by. It was a very clean, quiet & roomy suite on ground level with a private back patio.Highly recommend their place & love to stay again ! Grazie

Great location

First rate accommodation and host's. They went through everything in the apartment and how it works, they also were a font of knowledge with things to do and places to eat. The apartment had everything you could wish for or need, especially the washing machine. The area was a real locals area with plenty of parking which made you feel like you were experiencing the real Rome. It was close enough to nightlight and sightseeing, but also far enough away to enjoy the tranquility. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay in Rome!

Perfect house and location in Rome. Right in the middle of Vatican and Colosseum and everything else. We were able to walk everywhere (we don't mind walking) and saw all of the sights. Arturo and Marcella were fantastic! They were so helpful, meeting us on the 1st night and walking us through everything. You can't ask for better people to host you. They were very attentive, helpful and gracious hosts. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Rome again.

Rome vacation with teens

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our hosts and the apartment. The place had separate rooms for the kids and adults to sleep. We loved the coffee shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. Generally, we took an Uber in the morning to the sites and walked back to the apartment in the afternoon. It was definitely not close to the sites, and most of the walk was uphill. But we had to work off all the pasta and wine somehow lol

Lovely hosts and good accomodation

Thank you so much for hosting us in Rome. We really enjoyed our stay - the property is very true to the photographs. Good transport links to central Rome which were effectively explained by the host on arrival. Host provided a map of the local area with helpful recommendations and was really welcoming. The shower has good pressure, plenty of towels provided, and a very nice outdoor space too. If we were to revisit Rome in the future we would consider staying again. Thank you.

Great Apartment

My sister and I stayed here on our recent trip to Rome. A lovely large apartment, that was spotlessly clean. The apartment had everything we needed, from a full kitchen, comfortable beds and lovely private courtyard. The host was wonderful to deal with and very responsive to our messages. It was also very close to the Quattro Venti Train Station which allowed us to travel into the heart of Rome easily and quickly. Thank you for having us, we'll certainly recommend this property to other friends visiting Rome. Grazie mille!

Good base in tranquil area

Comfortable and very well equipped ground floor flat in a relatively quiet, up-market and green area of Rome (lovely public parks nearby), only a 15-minute walk or 5-minute bus ride down to the more lively and popular tourist zone of Trastevere. A very good place to be in the hotter summer months being up on the hill of Monteverde vecchio and having a pleasant private shaded patio garden. Very helpful owners live in flat above.

10/10 Excellent apt and Super Hosts

A beautiful city villa, peaceful but close to great cafes and restaurants. We stayed end July in sweltering Roma heat. The apartment is spacious and cool, the kitchen is well-equipped, enjoyed my morning espresso listening to the nearby church bells. We slept so well in the comfy bed. The hosts were outstanding! Marcella went out of her way to book an amazing Imperial Forum tour for us (run by a Rome Cultural organisation). The garden was a lovely open space, for outside dining or relaxing on the 'Hollywood Schaukel' although, sadly it was too hot for us to enjoy. My husband and will visit Rome again in the cooler months and hope to come back to stay with Arturo and Marcella. They are outstanding hosts and I would highly recommend them!

A magical stay in Rome

Marcella and Arturo were lovely, lovely hosts! The flat was even more gracious than described -- spacious and comfortable for five of us (one in the master bedroom, two sharing the bunk bed room, and two sharing the fold-out bed in the living room), a floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobe in the master with space enough for those in the living room to unpack their clothes as well, a fully-functional and stocked kitchen, and fabulous patio. The flat is two blocks from a good grocery store, one block from a wonderful restaurant (Il Focolare), and a ten minute walk to the Acqua Paola. The calm of Monteverde is a welcome respite after the busyness of Trastevere and the rest of Rome. We felt like it was home during our whole stay, and my four children (all in their twenties) agreed that we would stay there again.

Die gesamte Ausstattung der Wohnung ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Wohnung ist abgewohnt und braucht dringend einen neuen Anstrich. Vorher muss im Bad an der Decke der Schimmel großflächig entfernt werden. Die Fotos lassen die Mängel der Wohnung nicht erkennen und erwecken einen falschen Eindruck.

Es war toll. Die Wohnung liegt super, wir haben alles zu Fuß erlaufen können und dennoch war man abseits der Touristenmeile inmitten der Italiener. Wir sind morgens zu Fuß zum Vatikan bzw. am nächsten Tag zum Kolosseum, haben auf dem Weg gefrühstückt und sind am Abend auf dem Heimweg in unserem Viertel eingekehrt. Hier sprach alles um uns italienisch. Genau so hatten wir uns das vorgestellt. Arturo und Marcello sind super Gastgeber, haben uns währenddessen via Handy über Streiks und sonstiges informiert. Ganz herzlichen Dank-wir kommen in jedem Fall wieder

Es war ein sehr schöner Trip nach rRm. Von der Wohnung konnten wir problemlos zu Fuß ins historische Zentrum. Sehr nette Vermieter mit perfekten Englisch Kenntnissen. Eine schöne saubere Wohnung mit Gartenbereich, den wir aus Zeitmangel nicht nutzen konnten. Sehr empfehlenswert und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in dieser geräumigen Wohnung und haben nach dem Trubel Roms die Mittage und Abende im ruhigen, grünen Garten genossen. Alles ist sehr sauber, die Betten hervorragend, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Zu Fuß und öffentlich ist man schnell bei allen Sehenswürdigkeiten und in naher Umgebung gibt es gute Restaurants, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.Ein herzliches Danke für die tolle Gastfreundschaft, Erreichbarkeit und Freundlichkeit, die diesen Aufenthalt besonders machten.

Arturo et Marcella sont des hôtes très accueillants qui se montent disponibles si besoin. L’appartement est proche du quartier Trastevere et bien desservi par les transports (bus et métro) pour se rendre sur les sites touristiques. L’appartement était très propre, fonctionnel et bien équipé (notamment pour la partie cuisine et avoir une climatisation est un plus, même si les grosses pierres le gardent au frais). L’ensemble de ces éléments nous a permis de passer un agréable séjour à Rome. Merci à Arturo et Marcella
