Coill beag is a modern 6 bed roomed home, a comfortable fishing lodge with its own private pier on the lake shore. It is sensitively constructed in local limestone, in harmony with the wild and wonderful wooded site surrounding it.Tucked away amid 5 acres of green fields rolling down to Lough Corrib, it is a haven of tranquility, comfort and easy living, while at the same time just 25 kilometres from Galway city.
An ideal base to see the Wild Atlantic Way.

Large open plan living and dining area.
Well stocked compact kitchen.
Large selection of fishing, gardening, classical, and general reading material and cards in house.
Coill beag is a light filled, easily maintained, south facing
home on the banks of the Corrib, famous for brown trout and Salmon fishing.
Coill beag is ideally situated 25 Kilometres from Galway city.
An ideal base for;
Fishing, hiking, cycling or just complete relaxation
Unfortunately our local pub @ the pier is closed at present.
We anxiously wait for the reopening
Boats may be hired locally & moored at the pier in Kilbeg .
Touring west and Connemara is highly recommended.
Visiting the many cultural, historical and tourist attractions in Galway city.
A visit to nearby Ashford Castle and grounds in Cong.
Local friend and neighbour available when needed.
A selection of wet gear available to guests.

Surrounded by wonderful friends and neighbours it is our home from home for many many years .
We have holidayed here since 1982.
the children loved country living and we decided to sell our original cottage and build this lovely new home in 2000
our 3 donkeys are wonderful pets and love carrots and apples.
They welcome all visitors and love company.

It's wonderful landscape provides an excellent foundation for all speices of wild life.
The orchard provides tasty eating apples in a good harvest.

What makes this property unique
Kilbeg is a friendly and relaxing townland where the neighbours have time to chat and take time out.
Kilbeg pier is just a 5 minute walk where boats are moored for trout fishing.
There is a small local pup on the pier, which opens only at night time.
Unfortunately the pup in currently closed & we hope that it will reopen later in the year.
Ideal place to meet with the local farmers and fishermen for a friendly pint of Guinness
