Family Trip

We spent 4 nights in Galway and this was the perfect home base for day trips and city adventures. Our only little trick was the narrow drive getting in because we had a large vehicle but other than that the place was perfect!

First time in Galway

This house had everything we needed! The location provided easy access to city center with a fifteen minute walk. A grocery store was just around the block, so we were able to pop over if we needed anything. The hosts were quick to respond if contacted, and Peter, the manager, met us to check in and was excellent! Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful week in Galway

The Coach house was the perfect accommodation for our family during a week stay to visit our daughter studying at the University. Walking distance to all downtown has to offer and to the lively Salt Hill area, as well as a grocery store, pharmacy, and pub all just around the corner. The house was comfortable and welcoming, plenty of options for those that wanted to stay in and relax a bit before hitting the town. Liz and her team were fantastic to work with, communicated extremely well, and were just so welcoming. It really was perfect for our 6 person party.

Overall very good, but a little quirky

First the quirky: Our accommodation was in a separate building behind the one in the ;picture. Off-street parking almost too narrow for our VW Tiguan to access. The 3rd bathroom is has a toilet, sink and shower, but the toilet is in the shower. We did not use that shower. That said, we loved our carriage house accommodation. It seems recently updated, with a great shower in the upstairs bath, and in the ensuite bath upstairs. Rooms very comfortable, kitchen modern and well stocked. Location is terrific, and easy walk to anywhere you want to go downtown. Fun shops, restaurants, take away, and pubs within 5-8 minutes. Very comfortable overall, and very safe and quiet.

Excellent stay

Quiet listing just off the street was as advertised with wonderful heated floors and plenty of daylight. It's just far enough from Old Town that it is super quiet, but an easy walk for food and coffee. It is also fairly close to the Sea if you like an early morning run along the Ocean. Parking was easy, but head's up on the passage way as it is a bit narrow. We made it through with a full size SUV rental though. Landlords were quick to respond to questions and we really enjoyed our stay. Galway is wonderful

Immaculately clean, class location

Never stayed in a place so sparkling clean. Very comfortable beds, three separate bedrooms, very quiet despite being only a very short walk to town center. Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer available for use. Off-street parking for one car with prior arrangement.

Very nice townhouse. Good location. City center about 10 minute walk, and it’s even closer to some restaurants and pubs. Excellent safe neighborhood. There is a parking space but it is a challenge to get in and out of for larger cars. If you have a rental car, get the damage waiver because it is 50/50 you’ll scratch the side getting in or out on the concrete wall that lines the driveway. Washer/dryer was excellent. Very fast internet. The bathrooms were nice. One had a comfortable shower, one had a comfortable bathtub (no shower), and the third had a shower that could be used if needed. 5 minute walk to a supermarket, 1 minute to a pharmacy. Only downside was the unit retained heat. During the day the outside reached the mid 20s C and the house stayed very warm all day and night. The host supplied fans but they were not very effective. Two of the bedrooms had windows that could help unless it was raining. The third had a skylight only and was impossible to cool down at night. Three seasons a year this would be 5 stars but we had trouble sleeping in the summer because of the heat.

Comfort and relaxation, minutes from the city centre

We were in Galway without a car, but we found The Coach House to be in a great location. Just minutes from groceries and the city centre, it was perfect for our family. The beds were extraordinarily comfortable, and the heated floors, modern appliances, and attentive hosts made our stay extremely relaxing.

Property was perfect for us We loved the location and walked everywhere including to Galway university where my granddaughter is for this semester. Check in could be a little easier. Galway Vacation

Despite a minor issue with the check in process that was resolved fairly quickly, we enjoyed our stay at this Townhouse. Good location for access to central Galway with bars and restaurants within five minutes' walk. The fact that there is also parking is a bonus if travelling by car. Property is well maintained and ideal for a family or group of friends staying in Galway

Fabulous stay in Galway - can't wait to get back

Such a fun space with living area, kitchen & plenty of bedrooms and bathroom space for all of us (5 ). Kitchen could be better stocked with some basics (salt, pepper, oil) but good set up for a small group. Excellent location with tasty pub, restaurant, cafe options within walking distance. Off street parking was perfect - finding the place was a bit tricky but once you understand, it's great. Thank you to "Peter" who met us and was very helpful & responsive via text. Will totally stay here again if/when we are back in Galway!

Galway Getaway

Great location and a great place to stay. A 2/3-minute walk to grocery store and 2/3-minute walk to several great restaurants and pubs. Parking is available for those with a car but not necessary because the location is ideal for walking to all of the Galway attractions. We were comfortable with 5 adults and could have had 1-2 more adults with ease. I highly recommend this place. We will return soon.

First trip to Ireland

My husband and I stayed at the Coach House with my mother in law for six nights. We found it to be conveniently located and well appointed. We could walk to the Tesco, the Latin Quarter, the bus stop, and the West End with ease. Enjoyed many evenings of live music at The Crane Bar and found a lovely coffee shop, Barista Bus, just down the road. Piotr was so friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the bottle of wine, crackers, and Irish cheese that welcomed us. Fell in love with Ireland and hope to return soon!

Dear Guests, we've enjoyed many travels ourselves over the years and stayed in many hotels. Often great but sometimes misery when we would have preferred the comfort & privacy of our own apartment or townhouse! Putting all this into good practice in our solid and beautiful Silver Crescent Townhouse & Coach House in Galway City, we consistently offer superbly high standards to the active traveller in top notch and welcoming home-from-home environments.

We work hard to maintain the things that count – fresh & clean homes, top quality finishes, services & utilities, fine fresh bed linens, duvets & pillows, beds fully made up, fridge freshly stocked with Useful Items, and our Local Guides on where to go and what to do!

At Your Time in Ireland you will quickly settle in to get going with your activities - wonderful trips & tours, activities, explorations, excellent town walks and small adventures - out and about Galway & the West of Ireland!

Why they chose this property

Our top notch short stay options are just 5 mins away from the liveliest quarters of Town yet peaceful and quiet for a great night’s sleep.
Galway City is alive with visitors, restaurants, cafes, and unique traditional Irish pubs and live music and you will have made an excellent choice by staying with us on The Crescent.

Galway, capital city of Connacht, is a bustling, lively and creative university city that sits at the end of Lough Corrib and the River Corrib as it wends its way to the Atlantic Ocean. Long a busy merchant town with a serious maritime tradition and backdrop, Galway’s trading history can be seen in town canals, water breaks & salmon weirs, pier heads, and sea-side promenades and walkways, plus rich ancient woodlands that survive in precious pockets around the town.

Our location on The Crescent is part of this older world of Galway going back to the early 1830’s when trains ran to Clifden, and a tramline ran from Eyre Square via The Crescent to the seaside promenades of Salthill. The Coach House and our Town Apartments are contemporary treasures in our elegant old Townhouse some 160 years standing, and we do everything we can to maintain the ambience of this lovely old townhouse, accompanied by contemporary touches and features of today.

What makes this property unique

Perfect for 6 Adult Guests, you will settle quickly into a delightful and welcoming traditional Irish Townhouse - beds all made up, fridge stocked, and generous Welcome Basket of groceries in place.
