Mountainside Cottage! Great Views, Close to Appalachian Ski Mtn, Free WiFi!

If you are looking for a relaxing mountain getaway, with great views, on a paved road that is convenient to entertainment, restaurants, and shopping, then this is the place for you! We are located on Appalachian Ski Mountain, between Boone and Blowing Rock, less than a mile to the slopes at Appalachian Ski resort and 2 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

'Serenity' offers beautiful long range mountain views from the main living areas and covered deck. It is equipped with central heat/air, is fully furnished, has a well-equipped eat-in kitchen with seating for 6, and a spacious living room with a stone fireplace with gas logs, and a large (50-55”) flat screen TV. The home is approximately 1000 sq. ft. and has a 2-bedroom 2-bath split floor plan (will sleep 6 with the use of a pull-out sofa). One bedroom is equipped with a king bed, dresser, nightstands, flat-screen TV, and has an attached bath with tub/shower combination. The other bedroom is equipped with a queen bed, dresser, nightstands, flat-screen TV, and an attached bath with shower. Basic cable is provided in the livingroom and high speed internet (WiFi) and NetFlix are included in all rooms. Washer/dryer is in the unit. This unit is on the second floor. The entrance to the unit has stairs, but once inside, all rooms are on the same floor. There is paved access and parking for a maximum of 2 cars. Sorry, no smoking, no pets.

This is a great upstairs, one level, unit with a wonderful view. It is very clean and well appointed. The location is very convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock, and Boone. We will definitely plan to visit again.

Easy to find, even in the dark. Minor difficulty with the lock but host talked us through the steps. Great location near Blowing Rock and Blue Ridge Parkway. Very clean and well equipped. Comfortable as home. Wonderful views including spectacular sunrise and undercast of valley fog. Haunting October train whistles from Tweetsie Train were an extra treat.

Brenda’s place is a great place with all of the necessities. We loved the view and how convenient it was to Blowing Rock and Boone. We were definitely sad to go, but can’t wait to come back!

We loved our time here! Check in was easy, the cottage was clean, comfortable, and met all our needs. Great location - so close to the ski mountain and In between both Blowing Rock and Boone for dining/shopping. The owners were easily contacted regarding any concerns we had. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Needed a break

My girlfriend and I had to watch my 7 month old grandson for 11 days and we realized we are too OLD for an infant... . He was a joy to watch but she did a majority of the work. I told her we were going to the mountains(we live in Eastern NC). The property was incredible. The view from the deck was breathtaking. We WILL be going back. We needed the quiet time and it was so quiet and peaceful. Thank you for a beautiful place to stay.

Great accommodations!

My family and I visited for three nights. Accommodations were wonderful! The house was kept clean and had all of the necessary extras to make our stay pleasurable. We had a great time skiing and relaxing. Also, Brenda was wonderful and got back to me very quickly whenever I had questions!

The location was great. The condo was well stocked and clean. Making breakfast for 5 college students was really easy. The condo had parking for 2 cars. I would rent this unit again. The view off the deck is stunning.

Spectacular Views

Cozy and conveniently located, this townhome style apartment was everything we were looking for in the Blowing Rock area…and with great views of the mountains!!! The drive up ski mountain was scenic with beautiful foliage, yet close enough to downtown it was easy to stop for an ice cream cone at Kilwins. The Blue Ridge Parkway entrance is so close that you’re just 20 mins to all the best spots - Grandfather Mtn, Moses Cone, and the Linn Cove Viaduct. We loved our stay here!!!

We are an active family of 4 who enjoy all the outdoor activities the area has to offer. We've been vacationing here for years, see above photo taken in 2001. Our kids are both in college now!

Why they chose this property

After spending a few summers vacationing in Blowing Rock, my parents-in-law liked the area so much, they purchased this condo in 2001 as their summer home. It became a tradition for our family to come visit them each summer and we have many happy memories here. So last year, when my in-laws decided they were getting too old to make the trip any longer, we decided to buy it from them and continue the tradition. This is the first time it has been available to rent. If you decide to rent from us, we hope your family loves it here as much as ours has!
