A converted monastery dating from the 18th century, this luxury renovated house is finally available again for rental since Coluche rented it in the swinging seventies. A 6 bedroom house (sleeps 12) set in 3 acres of traditional provencal terraced gardens with over 100 olive trees and stunning views across the bays of Cannes and Antibes.

This private luxury villa is ideal for one large family or two families sharing to enjoy the swimming pool, fully equipped pool house with barbecue, jeu de boules and relaxed outdoor life. The house boasts 360 degree views of the coast, hillside towns of Opio and Chateauneuf, and foothills of provence.

Location
The villa is just minutes away from the Opio and Valbonne golf courses, 20 minutes to Cannes and 30 minutes to Nice International airport. A large supermarket is 2 minutes down the road as are the local bakery and butcher.
The property is south facing so it enjoys the sun the entire day. The famous perfumeries of Grasse are nearby, so when the wind blows right, pleasant aromas of vanilla, rose, or, if you are lucky, caramel, waft across the property.

Amenities
The Pool
The villa features an 12 meter long salt water pool which can be heated. Comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas surround the pool area to provide maximum relaxation.

El Quincho
Adjacent to the pool is "El Quincho", an open pool house with a fully equipped kitchen and a traditional charcoal barbecue. In addition, there is a large Weber Gas Grill, a wood-fired Pizza Oven and outdoor bar. The pool house has a bathroom with changing room and shower. The "Quincho" is the perfect place for evening drinks to watch the setting sun.

Modern Gym
A standalone gym in the garden comes complete with treadmill, elliptical, bike and weights. Air-conditioning, WIFI and TV add to the ideal work-out location.

Al Fresco
The garden of the villa provides a variety of "al fresco" locations for breakfast lunch or dinner". Whether dinner under the grapevines next to the centuries old water well, breakfast around the old millstone on the south facing terrace, or lunch at "El Quincho", each time of day will have a unique "Al Fresco" angle. The courtyard patio can further provide the perfect dinner setting for larger groups if needed.

The Terraced Gardens
The Villa’s traditional provencal gardens have been featured on garden tours as the garden is terraced with original stones, and features rosemary, lavender, thyme bushes as well as agapanthe, roses and irises and large cactuses indigenous to Provence. There are apple trees, fig trees and pear trees which delight with their fruits in season.

In line with French tradition, a separate "pétanque" play area provides both kids and adults a chance to engage in the game of "jeux de boules". Kids will also enjoy the trampoline, as well as the ping pong table.

Technology
Stay up to date, entertained and connected with free WiFi, NetFlix and Amazon Video, DVD/Blue Ray player, as well as Bose and Naim sound systems.

The House
The entrance hall, part of the original monastic farm with wooden beams and meter thick walls, opens up to a TV room and a small open study. Next to the study is the master bedroom, the Panorama Room with a California King size bed and unique antique tiled bathroom ensuite. The Provencal styled bedroom has large doors that swing open to a balcony with breathtaking views across the valley of Opio, reaching as far as the bay of Cannes. The perfect spot for a romantic night cap. On the same floor is the spacious Lavender Room with a king size bed and ensuite bathroom.

A stone spiral staircase leads to the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The Olive Room has a king size bed and with views towards the village of Chateauneuf de Grasse. The Cypress Room has a king size bed, with views over the garden. A hallway and staircase lead up to the secluded Tower Room with its own ensuite bathroom. This room is the most special one as it boasts stunning 360 degree views of the mountains, the village of Chateauneuf, the valley of Opio and Mougins and the bay of Cannes.

From the entrance hall, the original stone stairs brings you to the heart of the house, where you will find the traditional provencal kitchen, equipped with modern appliances, large sunny dining room and a seating area with fireplace. A sunlit passageway takes you the the majestic living room with vaulted ceilings, large fireplace and arched windows.

On this floor, you will also find the very comfortable Terrace Room with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom, convenient for either a nanny or driver, noisy teenagers who need a little independence, or extra guests.

All bedrooms are air-conditioned

The property also has a 3 car covered car port, as well as laundry facilities.

Towels and linens are changed once a week. A Euro 250 fee will be charged for final cleaning. Extra change of linens is available at Euro25 per set. Additional cleaning and cooking is available upon request.
