Holiday Apartment 100 meters from the beach

House with two floors. On the ground floor there is a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and an outdoor terrace with table, chairs and a small grill. On the first floor are two bedrooms double, one with balcony to the street and the other overlooking the sea and village and another bathroom also with shower. The house is situated in a street with a unique sense to rise, so has full access with car to the house. Has no private parking, but there is a 200 meters from the house, more or less. It is safe and quiet. Set in a fishing village called Salema, just 2 km from Santo António Golf Resort.
If you love nature, you can enjoy great walks around the Natural Park, either on foot, by bicycle or by one of the local agencies. Of course the main attraction is the spectacular and peaceful beach. Ideal for couples with children or without and looking for privacy and security. We have some activities for children, usually in the warmer months. Cars with pedals and slides that can use the water. Obviously it's a ride that the whole family can enjoy. Being a fishing village, you can see the boats return early in the morning fishing, great variety of fresh fish in local restaurants, several bars where you can enjoy cocktails, sports TV and even weekly Karaoke. Salema is situated in an area of ​​natural park, so biking and bird watching is very common in this area.

We had a wonderful stay in Salema and this apartment. Great location and comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed the two patios and it was a great place to do a little laundry (line dry only!) during our 2-week exploration of Portugal. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Very pleasant stay

Cute, quaint, and clean “Casa”. Nice little patio is perfect for having coffee or a glass of wine. Good location and convenient to the little town center and the beach. Just what we were looking for. The owner was very helpful when we had a question or two. Know that the street is extremely narrow so no wide car.

Wonderful vacation in Salema

We had a wonderful stay at Salema. The apartment was cozy and very close to the beach, just as promised. It had everything you need for preparing dinner in the kitchen, plus we didn’t need to pack a ton of clothes, as there was a laundry machine. Delia made us welcome and made sure everything was fine. Can really recommend the place.

Delia was so helpful and available if we needed anything. The location was couldn't have been better. So close to the beach. The home was better than we expected. So charming and equipped with everything we needed. I really enjoyed having my morning tea on the patio off my bedroom in the mornings. We also appreciated that there was a washing machine.Salema is a quaint and beautiful village. We loved the fact that it wasn't a big tourist hub. We felt very welcome there. I highly recommend both Salema and Delias home for anyone going to the Algarve.We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect place in a great location!

Great place ideally located one block from the beach. Delia was a wonderful host - she provided accurate and timely check-in info and was available for questions/help. Her place had everything we needed for our 3-night stay, including beach towels and umbrella. Salema has several great restaurants and a modest market with everything you need for a short stay; there are also larger chain markets a few miles away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Lovely house

This period house has been renovated to a high standard. It is very well equipped for a self catering seaside holiday. The location is excellent, only a few steps away from the beautiful beach. Salema has a good range of restaurants, each with its own character & several overlook the beach. We enjoyed the view from the patio at the house, particularly watching a range of bird species, including swallows.We stayed for 3 weeks & would gladly return. Thank you Delia.

Great location

As my husband would sum it up: you picked a great place to stay. Indeed we did. It is a few mins walk to the beach and fantastic restaurants, yet, it was quiet. The apartment is cozy and comfortable, and a great base for our Algarve region exploration. The best sound is hearing the waves crash along the shore as you walk up to the apartment. Thank you, Delia for being a good host. Would love to stay in your apartment when we return to this part of the world again.

Charming apartment in the center of town

Immaculately clean and well-equipped apartment, the perfect size for 2-4 people. Beach was a few steps away and lots of restaurants and small supermarket were within easy walking distance. We had a car to visit nearby towns, but free parking was readily available in the middle of Salema. My only recommendation would be for a table fan in the bedroom to keep the room cooler at night.

Wonderful apartment in Salema

I would give this apartment six stars, if possible. It is a beautiful clean two level apartment perfectly set up with everything you need. A lot of thought has gone into the layout and amenities, creating a warm relaxing environment. Delia is a wonderful host - always with a smile and available to help if needed. Salema is a beautiful small beach town, great for relaxing and enjoying all of the sights and sounds of the Algarve. This apartment is a perfect complement to the beauty of the area.

Perfectly located and pretty apartment

The beds were comfortable, and showers were also good. Do bring your own body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The washing machine, drying lines on the patio, iron and ironing board were helpful. Though we didn't cook, the kitchen was equipped with salt & pepper, oil and vinegar and a few other spices. I loved the short walk to the beach on cobblestone streets, and the town itself is very quiet and relaxing. Delia was always responsive, helpful and kind when we needed something; do choose to stay here!

Perfection in paradise

Salema is amazing on its own, but our stay was elevated by the lovely Delia, who was the perfect hostess. The flat came stocked with everything we needed, even a gifted bottle of Portuguese red wine. The washer broke and she even did our laundry herself and delivered it. The beds were very comfortable and the flat’s beach towels came in handy! A gem.

Great Relaxing Place and Perfect Location

The VRBO was on the perfect little street. We loved that it was a relaxing place to take a pause on our trip and enjoy the beach. The beach was perfect and it was nice to have towels included. The sand has to be the softest and cleanest in all of Portugal. The washing machine was great for doing a load of laundry and nice area to hang clothes to dry. The place was very clean and tidy and was very cozy. The WiFi was good. The instructions for checking in were perfect and nicely detailed. Be sure to read them prior to visiting. The only cons were: -No A/C -No provided shampoo shower gel. The only reason I am noting this is that the listing says that they are included. Great communication from the Host, great place to stay, nice and quiet town, beautiful beach. Would absolutely recommend!

Hi Caleb Thank you very much for your lovely comment about my property. You are right about the shampoo, we do provide that and we forgot that. I do apolagise for that, our mistake. Wish i had known at the time and i would have provided them straight away. But i'm affraid i have to correct you on the A/C , never had and it's not listed on my property or was ever, just checked that. That's a mistaken information that once read by possible future guests can induce in error. I'm happy though, that you've enjoyed my house and Salema in general. All the best 💚

Ein insgesamt sehr schöner Urlaub mit einer herzlichen Gastgeberin, die sich sehr darum bemüht hat unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir können das Ferienhaus im alten Kern des Dorfes als Unterkunft mit zwei kleinen Kindern sehr empfehlen, der Strand ist nur die Straße runter in 3min erreichbar. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Tolle Unterkunft!

Ordentliche, saubere und hübsch eingerichtete Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage! Nur ein paar Schritte zum Strand und den Restaurants/Bars im Ort. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Es gibt Handtücher und auch separate Strandtücher! Danke Délia!

Schönes, sauberes Haus gute Lage

Wir waren dort 14 Tage im Juli/August und hatten einen super Urlaub. Salema ist ein schöner kleiner Ort mit etwas Tourismus aber auch in der Hochsaison nicht überlaufen. Das Häusschen ist in einer kleiner Gasse und hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Neu renoviert, sauber, gute neue Betten, moderne Bäder und gut ausgestattet. Delia die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und entspannt. Handtücher/Strandtücher, Bettwäsche alles vorhanden und wurde nach einer Woche ausgetauscht. Also perfekte kleine Ferienwohnung in pittoresken portugiesischem Dorf.
