A evening away
Nice quiet cabin, great views and not a lot of traffic. The rainy evening and night was the only thing bad about our stay. Not a bunch of traffic noise people around oh and the shower is awesome. Host had good communication. Definitely recommend

Retired newspaper copy editor; grew up in Birmingham, Ala. Graduated Woodlawn High School, Samford University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Love to read, write. Favorite pastime: sailing. Currently divide time between home in Huntsville, Ala., and secondary residence at Lake Guntersville. Launched my first boat in Lake Guntersville in 1961 at age 14. My grandfather built the 16-foot Windmill sloop for me.

Why they chose this property

Lake Guntersville has long been a favorite spot for me. I enjoyed boating and picnicking with my family here. I launched my first sailboat here in 1961. He built the 16-foot Windmill sloop for me. I love the peace, quiet and spectacular view here, as well as visits from deer, eagles, foxes and other wildlife.

What makes this property unique

Just a short walk to the boat launch and lake front. Friendly neighbors; quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Commune with nature. Fine for hiking, fishing, boating, relaxing. Screened porch provides comfortable seating. Climb the hill for a breathtaking view of the lake; or sit and watch the stars.
