About this property

Walk to Town from Beautiful Cottage w/ Guest House & A/C 3bed/3bath!

Welcome to our family's Nantucket Cottage and adjacent Guest House in Nantucket's flag-spangled Historic District. The property is a short walk to town, the harbor, and Children's Beach.
No car needed! But if you would like to bring your car, we have parking for one car.
The property contains both a main house and a separate guest house, making it a perfect get-away for couples traveling together or for families traveling with friends, grandparents or a nanny.

The main house features an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, large beams and a 1940s red-brick-fireplace. Surrounded by large windows, the dining room is bright and airy -- a perfect spot to have breakfast and make plans for a day of sightseeing, sailing, and cycling around the island.

We have installed beautiful white custom Bali 2" Cordless Pleated Shades with Light Diffusing Privacy Liners on ALL windows in the main house.

The kitchen has custom cabinets, Corian countertops, stainless steel appliances, a microwave-convection oven and an eat-in breakfast bar. Together with the 5-Burner grill on the patio, the kitchen provides you with everything you need to cook and serve the perfect backyard family BBQ. The dining table seats 6. The living room boasts a comfortable sofa and a 48" SMART TV. You will also find a front-load washer and dryer.

The master bedroom has a Queen bed with en suite bathroom and 32" SMART TV; the second bedroom has a QUEEN bed with built-in 6 drawer dresser. All told, the main house sleeps four.

The Guest House is immediately adjacent to the main house. It sleeps two and has been completely refurbished. It has a QUEEN bed, a 40" SMART TV, a private bathroom and a kitchenette. Custom Bali 2" pleated shades on all windows. A small bluestone patio is located directly behind the guest house .

The large backyard patio is surrounded by tall hedges and gorgeous shade trees. Recently, we added a new 5-Burner BBQ, a new patio dining table with seating for 6, and a new seating area.

Nantucket is beautiful in the summer and the days are warm. To keep you cool, we've installed a Mini-Split Air Conditioning system in both the main house and guest house.

The entire property is well-appointed with crisp white cotton sheets, white fluffy bath towels, kitchen ware, utensils, glasses, dishes, and everything else you would need to feel at home on the island. All sheets and towels are professionally cleaned. Our property manager lives just a mile away, so if you need anything, he can be there in a matter of minutes. This house is great for families, couples, artists, writers, boaters, beach-lovers, and exhausted city-dwellers looking to relax.

We had a wonderful time! The place was beautiful and exactly as described. Communication was easy, and the location was excellent. We could walk and bike to everything with ease - no car needed, as we only brought our bikes. It’s located on a more active road (relatively speaking, for Nantucket ), but it wasn’t disruptive at all. We especially enjoyed being close to the bike paths and having the option to walk into town. Highly recommend!

Summer Fun

We've been going to Nantucket for years and loved staying at 17 Quaker. It was a great location to town and easy to get to the beaches, grocery store, the farm, etc. We'd love to stay there again.
