About this property

Whaler - 2 bedroom condo on the beach

We have an attractive, two-bedroom, two bath condo in the Whaler
located on the east beach in Gulf Shores. The view from our balcony
overlooks the pool and has a direct view of Gulf of Mexico. The
unit has a master bedroom with queen-size bed and private bath. Second
bedroom has two double beds.
The Whaler is in walking distance from the fishing pier and Gulf
Shores State Park. There are also several excellent restaurants
within walking distance. Our unit is located on the second floor and is accessible by an elevator.

Great Place to Stay

The location of this place was very nice and convenient. There is a lot near by to enjoy. The managers are very responsive and flexible. This place was perfect for the three of us to enjoy. Parking is not an issue with your pass either.

On the beach

We had an amazing stay! The host was amazing and responded quickly to any questions I had. The condo was awesome and was right on the beach. Also they had carts to help carry things in the elevator. That helped out a lot. Everything about this condo was great. Pool was a bit frigid but was awesome after a long hot day at the beach. Will definitely book this one again

Exactly as promised

Great location. Walk out to the beach. Kids loved having the pool and beach so close. There was an issue where the pool had to be closed one morning due to a pump issue but they had it back up and running that afternoon. Will probably try to get the same unit if we return. Another plus was having the balcony overlooking the pool. We could communicate with the kids while they were swimming.

Condo was nice but...

The condo was nice and the location was excellent. However, due to no fault of the host we had a bit of a rough start to our trip. The cleaning service was still working an hour and a half after check in due to the elevator being inoperable (the other issue). We decided to grab some dinner and eat outside until they were finished. The condo had an excellent view of the gulf and was a very short walk to the water.

This property was not clean. Sand on the floors. Living room rug has never been cleaned and vacuumed. Sofas were dirty. Fans full of dust. Very disappointed based on what I paid.

Needs a total update inside.

Location was amazing, communication with host was great. However this has happened twice that we have stayed in a condo on the beach and when booking no mention of construction happening during stay. So 2 of our 4 day stay we had to listen to very loud construction. Only found out days before arrival. Also had to deal with the elevator not working for the first 2 days also which was very aggravating having to bring all our luggage and family up several flights of stairs. And then have to go get groceries and have to climb those stairs with groceries. The whole place needs to be updated, furniture, kitchen, flooring, bathrooms. The kitchen was lacking in pots, pans & skillets. The place was clean and the kids loved the pool and beach easy access was great.
