Spacious grounds rustic'n romantic with country charm, eat-in kitchen, comfy King bed and a romance-ambiance (elec fireplace) with or w/o heat. Outside deck next to creek w/easy access H.Tub to enjoy star-gazing after hiking or mountain waterfall adventures! Cabin by a country road in open valley location surrounded by mountains, view old barns in a pastoral setting, wildlife and inviting spacious grounds. Welcome well-behave dog(fee), yet none left if guest goes off. Just 5 miles to downtown Cashiers (10 more to Highlands)! 1 mile to amazing Lake fun in appropriate season, our local Signal Ridge Marina for boat rentals of all kinds!!! Superb Eateries as Happ's, White-side Brewery, The Orchard and much more! Visit nearby waterfalls, hiking and nature trails as High Falls, Panther-town, WhiteSide Mountain, Dry Falls (literature provided). Feel the good ol'days when life was simple and care-free. Great mountain getaway!

Cottage was very quaint and had everything we needed for a long weekend away. Everything was perfect and the Primes were great hosts ! Definitely recommend!

Weekend getaway

My husband and I decided to take a weekend getaway for the holiday weekend. The cabin is close to cashiers and highlands for anything you want/need to do, and Lake Glenville is just beautiful! The owner Chris is available for any issues, we had none. Exactly as the photos show, peaceful to sit on the back deck, read, drink coffee, and listen to the brook nearby. We had a very nice time!

Great relaxing getaway

Cozy cabin for a couple to relax with hot tub and sound of stream. The kitchen was stocked with essentials. Great communication from host. Bouquet of flowers was a special touch.

Very nice and cozy get away in the Cashiers area.

Anniversary Getaway

This historical cabin was just perfect for our weekend away. The Primes are great owners who were very attentive to our needs while also respecting our privacy. We had everything we needed, including a nice hot tub to enjoy and great site seeing, shopping, and food in the area. Highly recommend this rental! The only suggestion we would have might be an upgrade to the bathroom toilet. It’s very low to the ground and bowl is small, however, it did not change how much we enjoyed our stay.

Just what we needed

We were looking for a little getaway to explore Highlands and Cashiers. My husband hates crowds, so we loved the location on a quiet street with a little creek gurgling past. Otis the dog, particularly, enjoyed the cool creek and the lovely back yard area, big enough for him to explore and run around in. The house was cute, if dated, but just the right size for the 2 of us and a dog. We wanted to use the hot tub, but the thunderstorms prevented us. It looked inviting and very clean, but not lightning proof. Convenient to the towns and close to great hikes (Whiteside for a sunset view-with bears! and Kings Creek Falls for a comfortable hike with the payoff of a swimming hole at the end for wading with a dog. ) We would stay there again.

Wonderful Weekend Trip!

We had a great time, even with the storm rolling in. The cabin was such a cute & cozy place. It was rustic with touches of modern throughout. The Primes were so very sweet. They checked on us and made sure we were safe. They took care of everything. They really made us feel at home. I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. Such a fantastic little getaway!

Hospitality and Unexpected Compassion

We had a difficult journey to this cozy cottage, including vomiting dogs and deep exhaustion after a difficult year teaching. Mr. and Mrs. Prime were absolutely the best hosts we have ever experienced. They even washed the most "vomit-impacted" blanket. This lovely cottage is nestled across from a picturesque Christmas tree farm. It is a quiet, country setting. The cottage itself is curated with delightful reminders of the past. It is just about the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. The Primes even provide snacks and a personalized welcome to their cottage. Your hosts really care about your stay, your well being, and your comfort. Two things to mention that I did not see in other reviews. This cottage is a very short jaunt to Lake Glenville, a huge lake with lots of family activities. And there is a hot tub - 'nuff said. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Prime, for your extra-ordinary hospitality.

Perfect hosts

Jim and Chris were perfect hosts while we were at the adorable cabin. It was decorated very cozy. While we had some water issues (it was incredibly cold - single digits) Jim and Chris did everything in their power to make sure we had water. It was resolved quickly and really did not interfere in our stay at all. We found everything we needed and them some. A lot of thought and care went into the ammenities at this cabin. The creek and the views were amazing.

Clean home with attention to detail! Perfect for couple with a dog. Dog could be outside on enclosed deck. Cleanest hot tub ever seen! Very comfortable bed. Perfect stay for hiking waterfalls in the area. Hosts were very helpful and kind!

Great and convenient location to stay

We loved staying here because of the location, cleanliness, and price. Communication and check in process with the owners were great. We came here to hike the many trails in the area. The hot tub was excellent after a long day of hiking. We will definitely stay here in the future. Thank you so much for the great experience.

Great Week

The historic house is simple but has a great floor plan. Very large bedroom for this size house. We spent hours on the front porch enjoying the view of the field and old barn across the street. And our Lab really enjoyed the creek! Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this cabin, our host was wonderful with quick responses if anything was needed. We enter the cabin and felt welcomed with soothing music, battery operated candles burning, snacks and wine and fresh flowers. We have stayed in many cabins and this was the best one by far.
