The loft is private and has lovely woods and water views.

Barters Point Rd. is such a perfect location and this wonderful property is a perfect quick walk to the the East Wind Inn for breakfast and everything T Harbor has to offer. We came with our two teenagers who loved hanging out in the beautiful loft. We had friends with one teenager come for two of the nights. We had more bedrooms and beds with the loft going too than we needed and entirely concur that this property would work well for a two family stay. Good beds, nice linens and towels and plenty of places to spread out. A kitchen with everything you need tops off this wonderful rental. We left happy and grateful 🙏

Beautiful area
We recently stayed at the Lobster Harbor View Home in Tenants Harbor Maine. This was our first experience in Maine and we enjoyed it immensely. Drift inn Beach was beautiful at low tide and is only 5 minutes away. McLoons Lobster Shack had amazing Lobster Rolls and Crab Cake Sandwiches. Is BYOB so bring your favorite beverage to accompany your dinner. Prices very reasonable. We also enjoyed Dormans homemade ice cream - the homemade hot fudge was to die for! Purchased lobster in Port Clyde at the Off the Dock Lobster shack. Had couple days of dense fog so spent those days visiting the local lighthouses. Took a Puffin excursion and spent a couple hours enjoying the Atlantic Ocean while watching puffins and seals. Thanks to the Niemtzow for allowing us to spend the week. Just a couple suggestions - the living room furniture is not very comfortable. We had read some prior reviews indicating the same and had brought a couple inflatable chairs. A pub table on the front deck would have been ideal for enjoying our morning coffee. Is difficult to enjoy the water view in the Adirondack chairs.

Hi Sandra,
Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in our home and in the Tenants Harbor area. We love sharing it with others & would be happy to have you again!
As for your suggestions, we’re sorry to hear the living room furniture wasn’t as comfortable as you were expecting. It was specifically designed & made by a furniture-maker in the 1950s to fit an authentic Maine log cabin aesthetic; more so for style than comfort. We’re always looking to improve things, so following your suggestion, we will be looking in to adding a sofa for next season with one that is more plush & suitable for plopping down.
Thanks again!

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Thankfully the rustic beauty of tenants harbor overshadows this abandoned rental
We were very excited to visit the coast of Maine where I grew up.
Rants: Unfortunately, this rental has not received the necessary upkeep over the years and is covered--inside and out-- with dirt, dust, and caked on grime. The two poorly lit bedrooms off the kitchen area have not been properly cleaned in years and mattresses, pillows and bedding appear to be original to the 1969 era house. When we tried plugging in lights found in the jam-packed closet (also full of old dirty mops, vacumes and other random broken items) the outlet started to smoke and smell like burning plastic. We spent the rest of the week struggling to find our personal effects in the dimly lit rooms. We had to keep clothes and personal effects on bedroom floor as the closets and dressers were full of garbage and/ or cleaning supplies. The children's bedroom closet did not open so their items were kept on the end of the twin beds. The kitchen is well stocked but you'll spend a good few hours trying to make sense of where everything has been randomly stowed away. We washed all dishes before use as nothing inspired confidence in the cleanliness department.
Raves: location is perfect. We were able to get fresh lobsters from the local fire chief, lobsterman, Mike which was absolutely amazing. We walked to the happy clam and the east wind inn for dinner and booked a tenants harbor sail with Emerson at the St. George sailing school. Short day trips to local beaches, Port Clyde, Rockland and Camden made the trip special and overshadowed any negative feelings about the rental property. As my 3 Year old says, "when something goes bad, turn it around and find something good!." We found it in the rustic beauty of the Maine coast and are grateful for our time together as a family.

Wow, I’m very sorry to see that your stay didn’t meet your expectations but I have to say that I’m completely taken aback by your highly negative review. First of all, I gave you my cell number and let you know that I was available if there were any issues at all. Given that I didn’t hear from you once, I certainly assumed that all was well and you had no major complaints. I would have been happy to assist you with any of your issues.
To address your long rant…to call the place “abandoned” is a slap in the face to our family home that we graciously let you into. The house is largely new construction (save for a few rooms of the old cedar cabin) including a brand new screened in porch that we haven’t even put in the listing because it was just fully completed several months ago. My parents (the homeowners) were there in the weeks before. We had a cleaning crew come right before your stay. Are there areas in the old cabin that get some dust? Most likely but you make it seem like the place was untouched for years, which is just completely untrue. As for the bedroom lighting? That’s fair. The old cabin area could probably use a little more lighting and we will add some lamps as per your suggestion but it is certainly not as you described. As for the bedding, we’ve never had any complaints about the bedding and we just put in new pillows last season. The one large closet in the old house is used as a utility closet, as should have been obvious when you opened it. There are plenty of other storage spaces, including every room having a dresser (none of which are “full of garbage”, as you claim). As for the kitchen, we have a full kitchen stocked with quality cooking utensils. I don’t know what you found so difficult about it as the layout is fairly simple. I would have been more than happy to tell you where to find anything you wanted, if you had simply asked. And the dishes…we have a year-old Bosch dishwasher which everything gets put through, so again it seems like your issue was more imagined than anything.
Finally, I will just add that our neighbors contacted us to tell us that you had 3 cars crammed into the front of the house (even though there is additional parking back), including one parked directly on the front lawn, which was unacceptable. I asked you very nicely if you could please move it to the back driveway. It took multiple attempts to get you to even acknowledge the message. I can’t help but wonder if your negative review is in part due to your bitterness over being asked to do such a simple common courtesy.
We were pleasantly surprised by this house. It is even better in person than the pictures let on. Great view of the water. Fun, woodsy house with lots to discover. Andrew was super helpful and easy to communicate with.
My family and I were blessed with a vacation home with ocean view in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of great places nearby to visit, eat and experience the beauty of Maine. Andrew had all the necessities we need to have a peaceful and worry free stay.
Beautiful home overlooking the ocean. Nice long dinner table for family dinners, and plenty of beds for everyone. One nice additional perk is the small office upstairs, in case someone needs to work remotely for part of their stay.
My family and I had a delightful stay in Tenants Harbor and this place was a great base for day trips when weather was fine or staying in when the rain blew in. Easy to walk to the general store, bakery, and local eatery but feels like you’re in the woods and away from it all.
House is well stocked for cooking and eating in. The new screen room is terrific!
Great family location. Family members from across the country with a few children and we all had a wonderful time. Loved the screen in porch as an added space to enjoy when it was pouring one evening. You are outside but not in the elements. Fabulous addition to this location. Would definitely recommend this beautiful spot and Andrew was fantastic to communicate with about the property.
The house was as described and more. Comfortable, well supplied in the kitchen, with a peek through the trees at the harbor across the street. There was plenty of space for a family with teenagers—everyone had a room for privacy. The house is in a quiet neighborhood street with an easy walk to the General Store and a bakery. The owner gave us a great tip about where to get lobster—across the street! The addition of a screened room was a marvelous bonus. We spent most meals out there and also some quiet mornings. It was our first outing since COVID began, and it was a lovely place to be.

wonderful experience
Lobster Harbor View was a perfect house for our family. It was clean and airy with plenty of space for all. The kitchen was great and we really used it! We attended a wedding at the East Wind Inn in Tenants Harbor which was within walking distance. The walk was beautiful overlooking the harbor and a nearby General Store very convenient.
The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. Great place, great time!

Absolutely beautiful location
This location is fairly remote which is what we liked about it. The views are gorgeous. You can walk down to the dock/beach (rocky) area very easily which we did almost every night. Make sure you check the tide charts.
The house itself is very large. The kitchen is well laid out which we used every day. If you plan to bake anything bring baking sheets and pans. The dining room table is very large and great to share a meal, play games/puzzles or plan your day. The loft area is much larger than I thought it would be, although mostly private there is no door. The bedroom with the two twin beds has an open pass through to the living room (used to be a window). There is a curtain but the room is not fully private. You are out in the woods, there were spiders, crickets, and moths. A couple of nights were warm which brought out the mosquitoes, I recommend bringing bug spray. The TV in the living room was very large with Directv, we found the living room furniture to be mostly uncomfortable.
The owner was great to respond to any inquiry we had before and after our visit. I would recommend renting this house if you want to enjoy the Maine coast.

Perfect for family vacation!
This was the perfect place for a family vacation. Our group of 6 adults, 1 teenager, and 3 toddlers was very comfortable in this home. We enjoyed the kitchen - gourmet yet casual! We enjoyed the area as well. Rockland and Camden were fun to walk around. We toured all the lighthouses in the area and loved our time at Crescent Beach on Owls Head. The owners were great to work with and have thought of every detail. We would totally come back!

Wonderful home!
We spent a lovely week in this very "Maine" home. It is on a quiet street, across the street from the harbor. Not a touristy spot, but rather a real working harbor, with watermen bringing in lobster.
Walking distance to general store and restaurants. Other spots are a short drive. Port Clyde is a quaint harbor with a lighthouse, and home to the boat that takes you to Mohegan island.
The home is rustic-appearing, but actually quite luxurious, with a cook's kitchen, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and a full washer-dryer. Everything you could want, including a front porch to watch the water and relax.
