About this property

Under the Gondola - Sleeping Giant Suite, Dog Friendly!

Sleeping Giant Suite is located just under the gondola on Ski Trail Lane. Our heated, back staircase leads you down from the house to only cross the street and ski/hike/bike out to the base of the mountain. Ski/hike/bike-in is just as simple. We are dog and kid friendly. (sorry, no cats) THIS IS A NON-SMOKING HOUSE with wireless internet throughout. There is a laundry room on site for our guests use. Our Sleeping Giant Suite is cozy with beautiful views of the Gondola floating by and Sleeping Giant beyond. The dining table seats 4, with a wet bar complete with coffee maker, refrigerator and dishwasher, but no oven/stove. There is a large gas grill outside on the covered balcony , that has a stove burner attached, for additional cooking options. Pots & pans as well as grill utensils are provided. The living area has flat screen TV and wall mounted fireplace. With a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull out queen sofa bed in the living room, this is a great option for a family of 3 or 4.
We are extremely welcoming to dogs. There is a shared fenced in yard surrounding our guest suites. Currently, Steamboat/Hayden airport HDN, United and Southwest have non-stop service to Houston and Denver. Winter brings many more non-stop flights.
Walk down the back stairs and across the street to ski in and out on a groomed access trail to the base area. There is a flat $75 per dog pet fee plus taxes.

This property is amazing! Perfect location, very clean and had everything we needed. Robin is great and very hospitable! The fenced yard is a great bonus if you have a dog. We'll definitely be back!

Room to roam. Our pup arrived to water and food bowls. The bed was comfy (kinda rare in vacay rentals), nice kitchenette, great shower, the host was communicative and friendly. Lovely stay!

We loved our time here. The space was lovely and had all we needed. Great location too! Walking distance to the base of the ski slope where there are lots of restaurants. Our hosts were very communicative and accommodating. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well. Hope to be back!

Excellent ski vacation

The location is excellent with easy access to the ski slopes and the base area. Our suite was comfortable and very clean. Robin, the owner, is kind and welcoming and had thought of everything we would need, right down to water and food bowls for our dog. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back again.

Great Spot, Pet Friendly

Great host on site who was friendly and communicative. Dog bowls for food and water were laid out and dog waste bags were provided. 5 minute walk across the street to the slopes. The unit we stayed in was up two flights of stairs that were snow and ice free.

The best!

Second year staying at this location and once again loved it all so much. Our dogs had a blast playing in the snow, Robin is so great, parking easy and no stress, ski in/ski out to Steamboat Gondola! Our kids leave early on their own and are tired from skiing all day/night. We haven’t had to get back in our car (the real vacation!) We have been spoiled with fresh snow. We can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous ski in ski out room!

We stayed in the Sleeping Giant unit and loved waking up to the gondolas spinning! It’s a 2 minute walk to the groomed run and the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and charming. Robin was a terrific host and was very helpful throughout our stay. Will absolutely be returning!

Love Robin’s Home

This is our second stay at Robin’s home. Everything is wonderful. She is flexible and welcoming and the house is lovely. The unit was clean and has everything we needed to enjoy our on mountain stay. And we brought our pup which was the best part!

Robin is the best host

This is our second day at Robin’s place under the gondola and we always have a great stay. Our pup Moby feels at home here. Excellence location. Once we arrived we didn’t have to get into the car until we left.

Great stay

Our family had a great time here. Very comfy and the location was perfect with quick access to the slopes. Awesome that they allow pets. Hosts were very responsive (although did not need much :)). Only suggestion would be black out curtains in the living area for our kids who were sleeping on the pull out couch. Definitely will come back and highly recommend. Thanks Robin!

Perfect Dog friendly place to stay in Steamboat

We just returned from a long Labor Day weekend vacation where we stayed at Robin’s beautiful property in the Emerald Suite. Robin was very communicative around check in and stopped in to say hi and provide us with cozy blankets one evening while we were enjoying the outdoor fireplace. The place is well acquainted with all the necessities, has an enclosed yard for the dogs, and the property is in a central location, very close to the resort and only a short drive from town. Definitely a great place to stay in Steamboat and we highly recommend!

Under the Gondola

High standard of workmanship in the unit and the entire building. Use of different natural stone was very well done. Our host Robin was so helpful and went above and beyond to help and make us feel welcome.
