Sorry everyone else, but there's been a rash of dishonest renters and I can lose my rental permit. Now the good part :)
This condo is in the Most Exclusive Hamilton Cove Complex. With a 180 degree Ocean View overlooking Hamilton Cove pix can't show the crystalline blue waters. Condo is 1bedroom,1bath with double sinks in the bathroom. Kitchen is Fully stocked for all of your cooking needs. The bedroom has a cozy, California King and is ultra comfortable with high thread count linens! The livingroom has a Eurolounger, a foldout sofa perfect for 1 adult, or 2 small children. A Thick sofa mattress is also available if needed. This Condo has Air Conditioning( portable) Only 2 others in Ham Cove do. We have ceiling fans and floor fans as well. At the private,secure Ham Cove villas, you'll feel the comforts of home and you get to use the Golf Cart!!! A huge bonus that offsets some expense of renting one($60/hr in town).And the Kitchen allows you to make your own meals if you choose and makes staying here more enjoyable and affordable in relation to a hotel. You make what you wish of this vacation spot. Relax in the serenity of true beauty or get out,dine, use the Fitness gym, mini golf(putters and balls in condo), play tennis, swim in the pool, take a power walk around the hills or head down to the ocean for all that has to offer. Jump in the cart(or even a short walk) to Descanso Beach for kayaking, SUP, Spa services and Zipline!!! Great bar/restaurant there too!!!
Caution....With management companies, communication is lacking. When in need, they're hard to contact. With us, you'll have my personal cell, and my assistant's #. We realize, things happen, questions come up...we are here for you. Also, we have a streamlined Checkin process. You go straight to the condo, contactless. No huge quantities of papers to sign. No meeting in town like the management cos.
You are required to have a Valid Driver's license and proper Car Insurance to drive the golfcart as That is Avalon Law.

On Avalon, It's the Law that the driver of the golfcart have a Valid Driver's License and Proof of Insurance. You will be asked to provide that PROOF
IMPORTANT! It is ILLEGAL on Avalon to have more than 4 guests in a 1 bdrm. 1 bdrms will not appear if you're honest about guests. You Will be EVICTED
ALSO, if more than 4 guests, Forfeiture of Deposit too. Refuel Golfcart or $100 fine. 21 yrs minimum GC driver or Forfeit deposit

Fantastic view! Quiet and away from the touristy part of Avalon, which we loved. Having the golf cart was super convenient- easy to get to Vons to pick up supplies to make our own dinners

Great view and location. We didn’t mind the stairs and great snorkeling beach below. Very outdated with everything falling apart and quite dirty. Advertised sleeps 5 but it really sleeps 2. Weird uncomfortable couch and chair they are calling a bed. No sheets that I could find for my 14 year old son and zero amenities. For the price I spent, not worth it.

When we receive a negative review it's a bummer, when the guest is inaccurate we need to respond. Never do we suggest this condo sleeps 5. Check the description that states, " its against the law to have 5 guests..Only 4 are allowed. Guest Did Not realize the sofa is a eurolounger that IS comfortable when it's folded down. Also there is a lounge chair that folds out to be a single sleeper. If he would have asked for help I could have explained things to him and we Always leave enough linens for 4...if there is an oversight, if he let us know, we would've accommodated him , no matter what

The host was prompt and helpful with communication. The place was very clean. The balcony views were spectacular. The building complex was great. The listing was inaccurate in its statement that the unit is for 4. Really only good for a couple and 1 kid for the futon style couch which required the spare mattress to be on top. Some upgrades and furniture/ kitchen additions are needed to make this unit worth the price. The golf cart was a nice addition but it also needs some repairs. Would stay in this unit again if renovated and upgraded.

Overall the room is nice, and you can’t beat the view. The balcony is shared, in case you’re not into that. There was some garbage left behind in the bathroom, probably just a minor oversight. Overall would recommend. Nice cozy spot.

We had a wonderful time staying here to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. The condo was comfy and the views and amenities were amazing. We loved having the golf cart to cruise around. Rich was a great host, very friendly and communicative.

Everything was clean and tidy. We were able to relax and take trips to town and around the island with no issues. I do wish both sets of doors opened so we could experience the balcony from the front room as well Overall would book again!

Ham Cove Paradise

Incredible view from the balcony and comfy bed! We made use of the facilities-putt putt golf, tennis court, gym, and hot tub. The golf cart was a huge plus! We loved our stay and are planning to return.

We are a family of 4 with 2 boys( 10 and 12 to date). Live across the Pacific in Long Beach. Born and raised here but never went to Catalina until later in life. Each time I went there, I became more and more entranced by the beauty, relaxation and serenity that IS an Island. And for me, with my folks getting older and MANY responsibilities at home, I'm able to exhale even more with the knowledge that if need-be, I can get home quickly. The ferry is really a No-brainer(just an hour) or get wild and take a 15min. helicopter ride! If you've never been here, you'll realize what I mean the first time you come and want to return. Also, for us, and if you have a pet(s), it's difficult to leave them behind. We pay Petco to care for our dog(expensive) on the rare longer trips we take. That is why we decided to Allow Pets( additional expense) because our Dog is part of our family and this way we don't have to worry.
