Check in and check out was extremely easy! Hostess was quick to communicate and made sure everything was good upon our arrival. The house easily accommodated our party of 7 and allowed each other plenty of space to gather or separate from each other for quiet time when needed. It’s very peaceful with lots of deer and other wildlife for enjoying while sitting on the porch. If ever in the area again we would definitely consider staying there again.
Although we thought initially the house was clean, it wasn't. We found something else that wasn't clean every few hours. Hair in a bathtub, thick dust on the window air conditioner, even a pizza pan in the oven with some sort of grease 1/8 inch thick. The dishwasher had mold and we finally just decided it was best to wash any dish we used because so many were dirty. There was also green algae mold in the bathroom/laundry room shower. Very disappointed with the cleanliness. Finally, the pet-stained carpet was disgusting. We have pets. I get stains, but this really was terrible. We've rented 3 other properties over the last 6 months and if they were all a 10, this place was a 5. Good location but I'd never come back.
The property suited our needs very well. We had 5 adults and 3 children plus pets in our party and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table. Sarah was very responsive throughout the process. We didn’t spend much time at the house as we were in town for a graduation. But it was very convenient and close to town. It was great to have a lovely pet friendly place to stay. I would definitely recommend this property.
The house and location were great! Sarah was quick to respond to any questions we had. The huge kitchen area was perfect and the family/game room was very enjoyable for everyone. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful property and plenty of room inside. Enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. One suggestion, replace king size beds, we felt we were rolling to the middle. Overall wonderful location.
We had a wonderful time at this house. It worked perfectly well for 6 adults and 2 small kids. It was clean and had everything we needed. Also had great communication with the owners. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone!
This place was perfect for our family of five. Plenty of room, amazing and quiet neighborhood with deer grazing in the back yard, and close to just about everything you’d want to see in the Black Hills.
Our overall stay us great. House keeping could spend a little more time cleaning. Sarah was a great host. Answering all of our questions very quickly. Loved the location of the house. Lots of room to spread out in the house. Spent most our time in the huge kitchen area. We would stay here again..
We were very impressed with the cleanliness and beauty of the property. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. On a wonderful piece of land on a quiet dead end road.
We spent 5 nights at the Moss Rock Lodge. It was a very nice property and was very peaceful. It was conveniently located right outside of Custer. It was very convenient to have a garage attached that we could use. I would highly recommend family and friends to stay at this property!
The pictures do not do this property justice (and i thought they were pretty good to begin with). Plenty of space to hang out or find some quite time. Minutes from downtown Custer. The host is attentive, responsive and extremely helpful. 100% would stay here again.
Very nice accommodations. We really appreciated the large fully stocked kitchen and enjoyed dining out on the deck. The ping pong table and rope swing were a bonus hit with our family! Great location in Custer allowing for day trips to all of the Black Hills parks and attractions. We would definitely visit again!
