I wish I was still sitting on that deck listening to that river and smelling the pines. Hope to be back for the next show at Kettlehouse right down the road!
Gorgeous setting! We spent the majority of our time at the home relaxing on the back deck and enjoying the view of the river. It was a great 'half-way' spot between Missoula and the venue where our niece was married. Only an hour drive to some nice hikes as well.
The inside is clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the upper deck with views of the river. The internet was fast as we were able to watch sporting events on the deck using my laptop.
Our host, Robert, was a wonderful communicator from start to finish. His property is an oasis on the river - the sounds and view were mesmerizing. The best stocked VRBO we have ever experienced and clean!! What a great place!!!! We’d go back in a heartbeat.
The veiw from the back porch was STUNNING! Perfectly maintained home, every comfort and convenience was provided. Robert is the nicest person and he picked up groceries for our stay. We basically lived on the porch and backyard. I can't wait to stay here again!
Robert was always very quick to respond to every question I had, he is very helpful and generous; his property has a beautiful view. Floating the river and getting out at the property was a huge bonus. Great location, great owner and a great overall stay. Thank you, Robert.
The river and nearby mountains are incredible. The house was well equipped and furnished. We all (myself and my three sons) especially loved sitting on the back porch talking and playing cards with the river rushing by. The only drawback is that if you are doing a lot of things in Missoula or Lolo - which we did (fishing, hiking the M, Rattlesnake, Lolo, etc. it’s slightly (like 10-15 miles) remote. Worth it for the beauty.
We appreciated being able to check
In a couple hours early as we had a wedding to attend at check in time. We didn’t want to try & find it in the dark. Thank You! We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful property on the Blackfoot River. The pics don’t do the backyard river area or back porch justice. We enjoyed a big fire to roast hotdogs, napped on a blanket in the afternoon by the river. Fished & enjoyed the cozy back porch in the morning for breakfast/coffee & games at night. This property has a well stocked kitchen for cooking. No close grocery stores so do a Walmart pick up order before you come. The beds were comfy & we rested well. Thank you! We hope to be back one day!
Porch.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this house. It’s cozy, it’s probably the cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in, and the view on the patio balcony is something out of a movie. We spent every morning and evening on the patio listening to the river flow. This place gave me the peace I was desperately looking for to unwind when I left on vacation. The host was also awesome! He lives close and was readily available when we had questions, but he was not intrusive at all. He actually offered to let us follow him down the road about 4 miles, gave us a ride back to the house, and then let us use his life jackets and tubes to float the river. We put in right in the backyard and had the best time. I can’t appreciate him enough for going above and beyond like he did. We will definitely book this house again the next time we’re in town.
This property has an awesome location on the banks of the Blackfoot River. We fished right outside the yard and a short drive up and down the river.
The home is older...70's? and rustic. The upper and lower patios look out on the river. A very chill vibe. If you are looking for newer, modern, updated accommodation, this may disappoint but you cannot beat the location and overall comfort for "A River Runs Thru It" experience. Our host, Robert was awesome..knowledgeable about activities in the area and accommodating for whatever we needed. We would stay here again.
Our second stay at this wonderful spot on the Blackfoot. Robert, the owner, is next door and so responsive and vested in our enjoying our stay. We VRBO 4 or 5 times a year—this place is the cleanest by far and best equipped kitchen ever!
We have stayed twice at the Inn at Blackfoot Rock. Property is clean and well stocked. View of the river from the second floor balcony is fantastic.
Robert as host communicates well throughout the reservation process.
We look forward to coming back again.
If you love a rolling river right behind your rental, you will love this magical place!! Owner very friendly,( next door), check in super easy, comfy beds. Great memories for us all
