Our family had a wonderful stay here - all the instructions and information was very clear. The condo was well stocked and spacious for our group. The pool and beach access were great!
Amazing way to experience Kohala Coast and Mauna Lani
Amazing place in a great location. Condo is very well outfitted and has a lot of things to fully enjoy the beach. Place is worth it for the access to Mauna Lani Beach Club alone.

Excellent location in the Mauna Lani resort. Our family of four with older teens loved the beautiful setting, quiet complex, clean and comfortable condo. Thoughtfully outfitted with everything we needed for a perfect stay. We would love to come back to this place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this clean and well furnished condo. All the keys, remote controls, information, and passes are well organized. Plenty of spices are provided to make food prep in the home great. The beds are very comfortable. I would love to know the manufacturer and model of the mattress in the master bedroom? One of the best condos I’ve rented. Mahalo for the wonderful stay in your home!
We had a great time in Mauna Lani and this place is perfect. The check in proses was easy and the unit is in very good condition. There was plenty of room for our family of five and the kitchen was well stocked. The pool was a relaxing oasis and the beach club was a treat. Thank you for sharing with us!
This property is nicely appointed with comfortable furniture and bed, very important! Kitchen very well stocked with gadgets. Quiet. Open space view of lava field. Beach and pool toys abound. Some of appliances are older and need TLC. The host communicates well and is accommodating.

From the Owner: "Thank you, Janice, for coming even though our 6-year-old A/C unit went out unexpectedly right before your arrival. I hope our tropical breezes kept you comfortable. We have installed a brand new AC unit and a brand new washer and dryer, so I hope you come back soon for another stay. Mahalo for your understanding."
We had a wonderful stay. The unit was perfect for our family of four. Our sons each had their own room and really enjoyed the pool every day for hours, along with the beach amenities. The garage had snorkel gear, beach chairs, noodles and boogie boards (among other things!) which we used daily. The location of the grocery store was super convenient and we grabbed sushi for lunch on the beach a few times and cooked dinner on the grill at the house a few times too. Took walks through the lava tubes and fish ponds to the nearby Mauna Lani Hotel which is beautiful. The host was extremely helpful in anticipating our needs and responded immediately with any questions. Highly recommend this property!

Modern and comfortable
The condo was attractively furnished and fully loaded with amenities and had comfortable beds. The nearby beach was great for swimming and snorkeling if a tad rocky. The washing machine wasn’t working, which was a bit of a hassle, but otherwise the property was impeccably clean and well maintained.

The host had everything set up and was very organized. We loved the pool and beach club. The host provided a lot-- beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, coolers. The condo and kitchen were very equipped as well. We missed nothing. It felt like home. We recommend this place without reservation!!
The unit was very clean and accommodating for our family. We used the grill on the patio one night for dinner and loved it. There is AC and fans in all the rooms which is really nice! We used all the amenities the property offered. You’ll love booking this unit! You’re literally next to everything!
This place had everything. My kids begged to stay longer. Clean. Quiet. Well appointed. Prompt communication with the owner. Access to private beach & pool. Bikes, beach toys and snorkel gear provided. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Tasteful, peaceful, great location
We have stayed several times at this lovely, very clean, spacious condo in the gorgeous and quiet Mauna Lani area. The location of the condo is excellent, just across from the pretty pool and close to the complex entrance. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of counter space. The condo has very nice furnishings and everything is updated and in good working order. The linens and towels are good quality. There are bikes and beach gear available and each unit comes with two parking spots (the garage and one other parking pass). It’s ideal for a family with three or four older children as there’s a master bedroom and then a bedroom with a queen and one with a trundle bed that can sleep two, with a shared bathroom in between. Nice washer/dryer and BBQ on the lanai. The unit comes with a card to access the gated parking lot at Makaiwa which while a small beach, has a very nice bar and restaurant and good snorkeling. Very short drive or reasonable walk to several shops and good restaurants and other nice beach areas as well as the beautiful Kalahuipuaa fishponds.

This upstairs condo has spacious rooms and is beautifully decorated. The beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The host was easy to communicate with.
This is the first massive, exclusive upscale resort we had stayed in, and we are unable to rate the resort amenities, as we did not use them. Our son chose to use a well equipped workout fitness gym in a nearby town. The resort beach was too far from the condo for my spouse to walk. Due to Christmas vacation crowds this resort beach parking lot was consistently full, with no available spots. However, we found many beautiful and diverse public beaches each day when we drove away from the condo.
We decided that we are not resort people, but realize that this type of vacation at a huge, exclusive property appears to be a good fit for many others.

Not a good fit for some families
First off, the condo itself and the amenities are great and as advertised. If you do not have kids, this is a great place to stay. However, we were frustrated by the strict community rules that impacted our family's enjoyment of the community amenities. A week before check in, we were provided with a long list of community rules. This isn't uncommon, but knowing these rules beforehand might have influenced our decision to rent a condo in this community. The rules included "no loud or boisterous ball playing is permitted in common areas" and "Running, jumping, and horseplay are not permitted in the pool area. nor is yelling, screaming, orboisterous behavior." Anyone who has kids between the ages of, oh, 3 and 18 knows that these rules will be difficult for them to follow. They're on vacation; they want to be loud and boisterous. You might think, sure, everyone has restrictive rules to protect themselves from egregious violations. But in this case, they were strictly enforced. Another family in our travelling party was given a written warning when their kids dared to play (not even with a ball, mind you) in the common area behind their condo. Our children (5 and 8 years old) were yelled at by an adult for playing in the driveway in front of our condo. Again, if you don't have children, none of these rules should concern you. I only leave this review for families to take into consideration how this might affect their enjoyment of the amenities in this community.
We spent one week at this property and were extremely happy with out stay. There were 4 of us - all over the age of 18 and we all had our own beds.
The property is in a gated community with a few other resorts. The grounds are green, lush and beautiful. There is a walking path next to the community that takes you through a lava field and along some fresh water pools and eventually out to the beach. It took us approximately 15 min to wander around and end up at the beach. I'd suggest walking the path and exploring the property but we found it more convenient to drive to the Beach.
The Beach - there is a really great beach that you can walk to or drive to. The drive is short of approx. 3-5 min. You don't leave the resort community, you simply drive through it to get to the Beach. The beach it's self is not huge but is very nice. They have lounge chairs and cabana's for your use and there is a restaurant directly behind the beach where you can order food and drinks.
The snorkeling here is very, very good. Go early in the morning and stay on the west side of the bay and you should see a lot of fish. Keep going out and you'll see more and more fish and the occasional eel. We went to the Cook Monument and snorkeled there and while the water was a little clearer, there were more fish, and more types of fish right from the Beach Club.
There is also a black sand beach just around the corner. The entrance is literally on the way to the Beach Club and it is beautiful. No beach chairs or restaurant but it is beautiful.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It's quiet and beautiful. If you want shopping and more restaurants the King and Queen shops are about a 10 min drive away.
The host was super friendly and a great communicator. We'd definitely come back.
Both the property and it's surrounding resort are of the highest quality and our group of 3 had plenty of space to relax in with excellent size bedrooms and a great lanai. Good selection of resort restaurants, cafes and food shopping meant we only needed to leave for day trips and sightseeing. The beach area and snorkelling opportunities were fantastic as was the pool very close to the apartment. The lava landscape and scenic walks also make this stay unique, will definitely be back in the future!
We just finished a 10 day visit and everything in the home was as advertised. Host was communicative and very responsive to questions. Location provides a lot of flexibility. You can walk to the beach, shops and dining if someone else has the car. Grounds and pool/spa were nice. We certainly look at staying here again in the future. Aloha!
