Winter Paradise

The Pond House was beautiful, cozy, and truly unique. We were there over Valentine’s Day and were treated to a snow covered scene worthy of a Currier & Ives print. Owners were accessible and we had zero issues. I wanna go back!

It was quite an interesting design. No great if you are looking for privacy from others with you.

Funky, Cool House + Stunning Property

Stayed here with my husband, our 4yo and my mom and sister. The house was super funky and artsy, and the views never got old. Can’t say enough about the property, especially for kids. We caught butterflies, fished off the bridge and skipped rocks in the stream. 10/10 experience.

The location is beautiful, with lovely views of the property and woods, and the architecture is unique and interesting. However, I felt the listing did not fully reflect the actual experience.The description emphasizes privacy, leading us to expect a more secluded setting. While the property is large, the Pond House is located only a short distance from the owners' residence. The hosts were respectful and did not intrude, but the level of privacy was not what we anticipated especially since the large massive windows have no shades or curtains. You are exposed if anyone happens to be walking by. Guests receive a map showing areas available for use, but it is somewhat unclear, and there are no markers indicating boundaries, which made us uncertain about where we could comfortably explore.The home may be difficult for older guests or those with mobility concerns. The primary bedroom is upstairs while the bathroom is downstairs, and both bedrooms have very low platform beds.The kitchen felt small and dated for this price point, with limited, mismatched dishware and instructions not to get the stovetop controls wet. The outdoor living areas and exterior also appeared worn and in need of maintenance. The pond is in desperate need of aeration. It is stagnant and not at all beautiful.Overall, this is a distinctive property in a beautiful setting, but it feels somewhat tired and would benefit from updating and better alignment between the listing and the actual guest experience.

Another Wonderful Visit

This was our second stay with these hosts (we stayed last year in the cottage). Like the first, this visit was everything we could have asked for. The property is stunning, the house is gorgeous, and the owners were friendly and helpful. We hope to return next year.

will come back again in winter

My baby son just survived from a very severe asthma attack so my family really needs a quite place to relax a little bit. This place is a perfect fit. Kids didn't get bored one minute during our one week stay. They even saw a bear from the distance! When kids are happy and busy, we adults could eventually take a real vacation. The entire floor is heated, I believe a stay in the winter will be amazing too.

generous hosts + beautiful artistic home = perfect stay

We had a wonderful week-long stay at Nin's Pond House property in Woodstock, which is centrally located near all the main streets, restaurants, and activities in town. The house itself is beautiful and idyllic - it was a great change of pace, especially during a pandemic, to wake up and work in a space surrounded by nature. Above all, Nin was also a gracious host - allowing us to host a brunch with a small group of family and friends while checking in on us throughout the week to give us updates on new furniture for the home, WiFi, and other things. Thank you so much for having us - we look forward to coming back in the future!

Incredible house

We had the most incredible time at this beautiful property- the house and interior are impeccably designed and the land is idyllic (beautiful stream, and gorgeous hiking trail right next to it.) We had a blast grilling our food outdoors, enjoying the fireplace, and going into town which is only 5 minutes away by car. We will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you again!
