The property was beautiful. Loved the cleanliness and all the amenities. The host was great to work with. Would definitely recommend this property to others.
We loved fishing at the pond. It was perfect to decompress before and after a family wedding. The deck was very nice. Would recommend some updates, especially AC/heat in each room, decor. FYI the road to the place is somewhat narrow and nerve racking unless you have driven the road to Hana in Hawaii then you are fine.
This is a very nice property in a secluded area. The home is older, but very clean. The only damper is the odor from the water, which may be due to the location of the property. However, the host provides a water cooler which was a nice touch.
The property was beautiful but none of us (9) could take a shower. It would fill the house with a strong sulpher smell that made some of us sick. It was wash cloths and a sink for 3 days.
This was a beautiful country setting at the end of a long driveway that ended at the lake. There was a nice fireplac and the downstairs had plenty of room for a family gathering or wedding reception. The above was awesome just to sit on and watch the wildlife and scenery.

House smelled of musty moldy stale air. Most of what was in it was old and weathered. Water smell was horrific. Bad sulfur smell like rotten eggs and made the whole house smell until it evaporated. Be very careful on road back there it is literally one lane for a couple miles and lord help you if someone is coming the other direction. Couldn't wait to get home and take a shower.
The drive is beautiful to get to the house in the country. It is definitely off the beaten path, but the area is very quiet. We went on Labor Day weekend, and we had our 5 kids with us. The kids loved fishing and exploring the property all weekend. Even our 2 teenagers were off their phones exploring! It was the best weekend getaway connecting with our kids and spending family time together. The property was just as they listed it. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked. We can't wait to go back again and visit!
We had another fantasic stay at this place. This is now the 5th year we have stayed in this location and it never disappoints.

Nice Place, Extinuating Circumstances
The house is on a pretty piece of land with a water feature. It's quiet with a lot of space to be outside.
We had some troubles with the wifi and found some buggy visitors which made us have to cut our trip short.
The renter was very supportive and helpful through the process of canceling. Wish we could have stayed longer.
This stay was quiet and calming. Sitting by the fire looking across the pond of an evening was great. The little row boat was great as well. Didn't have time to fish but the pond is full of fish.
I brought my grandparents down to see my grandma's family. We had a great time at the house, the downstairs is perfect for a get together, especially since it was in the 90s outside. We fished and rode in the boat. Next time we will definitely bring our own poles because the ones there are not the best. The parking would be the only complaint but we made it work. The house was spotless and the cold drinking water was appreciated. The water had a terrible smell that brought back memories from my mammaws house back in the day. Check in was easy, except that it was a dead zone out there. Luckily the code for the door pulled up in my email without service. Wifi was good. Will definitely book here again if we come back! Thanks for a great stay!
Everything was perfect. Instead of going to beach this year my grandkids decided they wanted to stay here at this house. My aunt had rented it back in October and we all had a good time then. I couldn't ask for better. It was close enough that family could come out. We kinda had a family reunion which was very nice
Enjoyed fishing in the pond. Amenities were nice. We had 8 people in our group and 3 bedrooms - a sleeper sofa would have been nice for the 2 teens that didn't get a bedroom.
The location was ideal for a feel of nature getaway. Very relaxing. We enjoyed watching the many different species of birds. Did some hiking. We enjoyed a camp fire by the pond. On rainy days we put a puzzle together and played cards. They supplied practically everything we needed for our stay. We only had to bring our clothes and food/drink. It was very comfortable.
My children keep asking to go back, they want to go fishing again in the pond right out the door! This may be a new go to for my family, even when we move closer to the area! Would stay there again!
We found Pure Country during Covid as a way to get away from the city while still having a decent sized town close at hand and we keep coming back. This place is fantastic for whatever you want to do. Explore Huntington and the surrounding towns, hike, or just hunker down with a good book. The house is clean, quiet, secluded, and every detail has been carefully planned. We plan on staying here every fall for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend Full Circle Pottery (Noelle and her staff are fantastic if not a touch irreverent), The Peddler Brewery(I highly recommend the liquid hydrogen popcorn and the beer is great too), and Bahnhoff Brewing and Restaurant(quality German food with beer to match).
This property was perfect to unwind with 7 friends. We enjoyed corn hole, fishing, sitting by the fire, cooking and playing games. The property was perfect for all of these things and remote enough so we could disconnect from everyday life.
