Already planning to return next year!

I found this property as a last minute decision to take a 6-week trip to FL to get out of the winter in NH. I had some requirements as I was bringing my 2 Labs & motorcycles so a fenced in yard and garage were "must-haves". I asked my friend if she wanted to go also & since she and I each work from our homes & would continue to do so while in NSB, FL, fast wi-fi was also very much needed. This cute little house had EVERYTHING we needed & then some! For a small little house, there is PLENTY of room once you get inside! The 3 bedrooms were all quite spacious & having 2 bathrooms was definitely a bonus. The kitchen was on the smaller side but my friend isn't a fan of cooking so having just me in the kitchen making meals was not a problem. The kitchen had almost everything one would need. I did bring my own air fryer, instant pot & vitamix as those are staples I use in my own kitchen & I bought a cheap coffee pot for the house, as I don't like keurigs, which is what this kitchen has. There was plenty of seating in the living room with 3 couches. My friend set up her computer on the kitchen table so we didn't eat there but the table would have sat 5-6 people if needed. The garage was large enough for us to store 3 large motorcycles (a road glide and 2 street glides) & still have room to do our laundry (washer/dryer in garage). Beds in the bedrooms were comfy. 2 of the bedrooms had tv's but I don't believe there was a tv in the 3rd bedroom, which wasn't an issue for me as that bedroom was only used for a wknd when my Dad came for a visit. The backyard was plenty big enough for my 2 dogs. There is a section of the fence that is quite low and I was initially afraid my Labs may try to jump the fence & jump into the canal but they surprisingly never even went near the fence. The neighborhood was an amazing & un-planned bonus for my trip! My friend & I frequently walked to the beach, local restaurants & all around the neighborhood. I loved the beachy community feel & met some very lovely people throughout the neighborhood while out walking each day. The neighborhood is great if you have kids or pets. Dan & Cindy were great! They answered my questions very promptly and quickly fixed the couple of minor issues that we ran into with the house (just typical maintenance things). Dan also let me park my 20ft. motorcycle trailer at his private property for a very small fee, which was greatly appreciated as there was no room at the house for it.

A Wonderful Respite From Winter

Stayed two months and enjoyed every day of sun, sand, and relaxation. Rode bikes, walked on the beach, and saw 58 sunrises. The property manager, Cindy Homfeld, was incredibly helpful any time we had a question or needed advice on something. All in all, the house we rented was perfect for our stay.

Where was Chevy Chase?

The first couple of weeks felt like one of Chevy’s vacation movies with broken water pipes, a useless clothes dryer and the smoke detector going off in need of a new battery The manager did his best to deal with the problems on a timely manner but I had the impression that the owner did not want to spend much money. My biggest complaint was lack of a dresser or chest of drawers in any of the bedrooms. This may not matter for a short term rental but I planned to be there for the winter. Then Covid 19 hit and everything was shutting down so I checked out early, March 18 to be in a safer place. HOME. The house went on the market around end of February so don’t know if it is available as rental. I would not recommend it

Great spot close to the beach

We love NSB and had a great time on Memorial Day weekend at this house. Clean, updated and very close to everything NBS has to offer. Hope to return soon!

Golf Vacation

Great place! Went down with some friends to play a few rounds of golf. Place was perfect! Nice outside patio, clean, comfortable and roomy. We had 6 guys and it was the perfect size, everyone was comfortable. Short walk to the bars and restaurants was a big bonus! Would definitely rent again. 5 Stars!

Wonderful relaxed location, charming house

Wonderful 3 bedroom house with 4 twins and a king bed with 2 bathrooms. Newly renovated and the house is well equipped and has everything you need for a vacation. Kitchen is equipped with pots and pans and glasse/mugs and utensils. We were a group of friends and Cooke four own meals especially for Christmas. Enjoyed the long walks and daily swims at Flagler beach. At at the garlic restaurant last night. Definitely worth the 40 minute wait by the bonfire. We love the house and the location. Perfect way to spend the holidays!

New Smyrna Relaxing home awesome location

The house is so convenient to everything, shops, beaches, restaurants and groceries. The home itself has updated appliances and is tastefully furnished. The yard is fenced and it is a pet friendly which I took advantage of for my stay. The grass was too long for my pets liking as his legs are not that tall but I’m sure that was only because it had rained so much and the maintenance folks couldn’t mow. Perfect house

Quaint island cottage close to the beach

We had to evacuate to Florida for Hurricane Florence and this was our safe haven. We made a last minute call to book this property late Wednesday night. I immediately texted the manager explaining our situation and that we would be leaving at 3am to beat traffic. I asked if we could possibly check in early. The manager responded promptly and went above and beyond to help us. She told me to call her after 7am and let her know where I was on the road since she was planning on meeting us there to open up the property. We were very grateful. When we arrived, she not only let us know the specifics of the home but took the time to give us a map and some tips of where to visit while there. She was very accommodating and helpful. The home was precious and updated. It comfortably slept my husband and I, and our 5 children ages 8-17. We brought our 10 month old Yorkie as well and the fenced in back yard was a life saver so he did not have to be leashed each time outside and had some freedom. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is tight but most people probably don't cook for 7 in that home- we are big group. :) We were in a unique situation and this home provided all we needed. The pictures do not do this home justice and actually make it look smaller than it is. The neighborhood is great and super close to the beach and main street. We had never been to New Smyrna before and had a great time! The main street is charming with great variety of stores. The waves were insane because of Florence and our family enjoyed surfing and boogie boarding. Ran into a bunch of professional surfers at the local juice bar one morning. The day we left, we saw Kelly Slater posting a pic at the same juice bar- super cool! Everyone in the town was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for your hospitality!
