Good spot, great view! Classic lake fishing lodge. Quite a steep driveway - not an issue to drive but worth noting if you have less able people. A good open plan lounge/kitchen .

Weekend in Lake Tarawera

We enjoyed our stay here, very convinient spot for a friends wedding at Black Barn. Typical bach style house and easy communication with owner. Great views of the lake from the balcony.

Great place with fantastic views and amenities. Boat trailer parking is awkward, which is common in places along this road.

Great stay

Very comfortable home. Excellent facilities and great communication. It is a very steep section so be careful when driving up driveway especially with boat on.

Family holiday

We had a great 1 week stay here with 4 adults and 2 teens, more than enough space for us all.Facilities were good, location is quiet and what a view from the house especially on a sunny morning. Only negative point is that novice kayakers like ourselves might find it difficult getting the kayaks down to the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect get way! Well presented, spacious and everything you need. We loved the view and the fire place made the back feel so cosy and warm. Stunning part of the country to explore. We'll be back for a summer time lake experience!

Peaceful Beauty

A comfortable, clean and tidy home. Beautiful views of the lake from the deck. It was raining the whole weekend, but the view still beautiful, and we were cozy and dry. Great place to get away from it all and have some peaceful downtime together as a family. Thank you for a lovely stay.
