Our family, parents, grandparents and two labradoodles loved our stay. There was plenty of room for everyone. The dogs loved running in the pasture and the stars at night were stunning. Loved our stay.

It was great having these return renters! I like my home being enjoyed. I keep it clean and homey but without a lot of trinkets. I like to accessorize the seasons.
Thank you again, see you next year. Bonnie Abel

A perfect retreat!
The ranch house was the perfect place for our two families to meet up and enjoy both the natural surroundings and downtown Ashland! The house was lovely, clean and well-stocked with everything you need for your stay. The short walk to the waterfall and swimming area was idyllic. We had an amazing time and whenever in Ashland, we hope to stay at your ranch!
The property is so beautiful with wonderful scenic views. Property owner was very responsive. The house was very clean and decorated for the holidays. This was our 1st time in Ashland and won't be our last!
We stayed at this country house with our adult children while enjoying the closing week of OSF and exploring the local Southern Oregon area. The property is spacious with a large kitchen for family cooking and beautiful patio area for outside dining. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and watching cattle graze in a nearby pasture. And all this was just minutes away from downtown Ashland and quick freeway access to Medford!
This was our 2nd time renting this home. Perfect weekend with 2 families. Close to downtown and Mt Ashland for a ski weekend. Bonnie was helpful and available for any questions. Highly recommend.

They were delightful guests. They took very good care of my home. they are invited to return again.
Everything was great! More than enough room and great amenities for kids and the 6 adults that met at the house.
The yard and hot tub were fantastic!
I just wish there was a map or directions on how to get to the waterfall and pond. We were not sure if we could go through the gate to get to them.
All aspects of rental went smoothly. Roomy, clean house. Enjoyed the cattle roaming the property. An instruction manual would be helpful for some items like the tub shower. Was not familiar with diverting water to shower head by pulling down in ring around tub spout.

They were great guests. It turns out the info notebook was in a closet behind some sheets. Why? I have no idea. I looked for it in every cupboard. It does have a drawing of that shower faucet. I am glad you figured it out. Thanks for coming. Come again!
This home/property exceeded all expectations and if perfection exists, this was it for our annual family get together. The space, the environment, the outdoor and indoor setup and arrangement gave us a graceful, peaceful, joyful, private and stupendously gorgeous place to enjoy one another. The host was responsive, kind, friendly and when there was a typo delaying checking in on time, she exceeded expectations here as well by simply giving a refund of a night without being asked to do so - far more than I would ever have asked regarding this issue. We will ALL be back and I have a group of friends now looking at booking this same place for OUR annual get-together!!

A Little Piece of Heaven
We had a wonderful family vacation here, nestled in this sweet valley with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. It was very peaceful and relaxing. House itself was very nice and well-appointed. The deck was facing the mountain and the cows on the mountain and was perfect for sipping wine and letting the big city tension melt away. And did I mention that there was an Olympic sized Hot Tub. Could fit 10 easy. The only positive criticism I have is that for people who like to cook, a few more items like a grater, sharper knives, a larger frying pan, while not big ticket items, would add to the experience of meal preparation. Otherwise the kitchen had plenty of everything else you would expect including plates glassware and silverware. Anyway this was not really a problem and I would not at all reduce the number of stars because they would only make a terrific rental only marginally better. If you want a quality and quieter experience away from the bustle of downtown Ashland this rental will not disappoint.

Great location and room for the whole family
6 of us stayed at this property May 12-16 to celebrate a virtual Master's graduation from. We had a make-up/photographer come to doll us gals up and used the beautiful landscape around the property to take photos. The home is large enough we were close but not stumbling over one another. The lake that one can see from the front porch (my favorite spot) is a nice walk and a good fishing spot. On our last night we were surprised when we went to BBQ and the extra propane tank was empty. We had only used the BBQ once before. There were no grilling tools so that was difficult. Be prepared to have a couple strong bodies to cover the hot tub back up as the cover is quite unusual and heavy. The hot tub is actually a swim tub and in need of a cleaning and shock treatment. It does accommodate a lot of people. The sheets on our bed were in need of a good bleaching or to be retired due to large stains. When your navigation system says you are there at the large gate you really are. The address is deteriorating and not easy to see.

1. Rachel & her friends & family came on May 12 with an early check-in.
2. They were on my lake with their kyaks.
3. They used my property to have professional photographs taken of them.
4. they used the BBQ which ran out of propane, but she did not let me know so I could have another tank delivered, but she complained about it.
5. They used the hot tub. It was clear & balanced when they came. I do not know what sunscreen or lotions or what they did to get it out of balance. She did not let me know there was a problem while she was there, but she complained after she left. The hot tub cover is large and it does take 2 people to remove it & put it back on. It allows up to 10 people to use it.
6. My ranch is gated. I give directions and code information clearly.
7. She "accidentally" broke the handle on my stove, but did not let me know, then complained.
8. There are pictures of my home inside & outside on VRBO. On VRBO the house size is listed.
9. I have communicated to my cleaners to make sure the bedding is in excellent condition. I allowed them to have 4 dogs, I do not know if the dogs had an accident on the beds.
10. Rachel, her friends & family used my bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, kitchen & dining areas & did not communicate problems while they were there which could have been addressed to accommodate their needs.

Terrible communicartion and broken Hot Tub.
I really wanted to leave a positive review on this cute little home however, that's not the case.
This was our annual girls trip that we alternate locations each year; we were very excited to spend 4 days in Ashland this year. We chose this property for the large hot tub that overlooked the beautiful valley's so that we could unwind after the days events. Unfortunately, when we arrived the tub was broken. I attempted several times to contact the Property Host and never received a response. On the second day She finally picked up the phone and laughed the issue off saying " Oh, that stinking Hot tub, it's always something with it". She did send a few guys out who fixed it however it was tottaly filthy and unusable. The guys left the lid off and said they would be back later to clean it, they never returned.
I attempted again to reach the Host with no response. I e-mailed her asking for a discount on our balance as the only reason we chose this location was due to the hot tub and of course, no response and no discount granted.

What a great place for families!
We had such a wonderful time at Bonnie's ranch home! We went in February, for a multi-family snow trip and Bonnie's clean and comfortable home helped make the experience a great one. Bonnie was very responsive to questions during the whole process, including sending her son to help figure out a little issue with the TV. The home was clean, well-supplied, and very toddler + friendly. We got to see some cows and a pig on the property, enjoyed many a dip in the giant hot tub, cooked multiple meals, and enjoyed the beautiful views all around the home. We really did enjoy ourselves.
The only issues we had were that the coffee machine was VERY slow, but still made good-tasting coffee. The can openers might have seen their last days - they were barely usable. And the front door lock/keypad didn't seem to take the code Bonnie provided. Luckily the back door worked most of the time, so again, it wasn't that big of a deal. I didn't feel there was a need to bother Bonnie with these things. I'm sure if I had mentioned these issues to Bonnie, she would have done her best to fix the problems right away. :)
Apart from that, there were no complaints. The kids loved the home just as much as the adults. We spent 3 nights at Bonnie's and were comfortable the whole time. It's very close to town but distant enough to feel like you're in your own world. I would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a similar experience! Thank you Bonnie for allowing us to stay at your lovely home!

Our guests were great! My daughter's Bertie Blue Farm is next door and her pot belly pig, Dottie, occasionally comes for a visit. She likes the acorns. Our doors are a code, it turns out the battery was low, they have now been replaced and working well again.
We are in the country yet just 5-7 minutes to Ashland. We are in our own valley of natural beauty with the vineyards of the Irvine-Roberts Winery escorting you to our ranch. Southeast Ashland is quiet and scenic. Interstate 5 divides Ashland but we are over the hill from the traffic noise.
My vacation rental is comfortable all on one level with hardwood floors for easy clean up. There is plenty of parking. The current wildlife coming and going are turkeys, deer, jack rabbits, quail, ducks, geese, hawks and other birds. Our cows graze across the way. Winter is warm and cozy in the house. Come for a stay.

Great location, poor communication and cleanliness.
The location of this property is great, it’s gated and just outside of town.
Communicating with the host was very difficult, it took over 2 hours to get into the property, check in at 4. The code was not provided, we attempted to contact the host 2 hours before check in and they could not be reached. We called, texted and messaged via the Vrbo app. We were only able to gain entry after contacting customer service and then they called the host and customer service provided us with the code. Very strange. It was over 110 during our visit so our food spoiled during the wait. We went to the store prior to going to the house. We’ve never had an issue contacting the host or gaining access with other Vrbo stays.
Other attempts to communicate with the host were unsuccessful and questions were left unanswered which was disappointing. We attempted to communicate we’d be bringing dogs but were unable to because the host was unresponsive. There are currently unanswered questions in the chat, but I digress.
All of the pans and dishes needed to be cleaned and sanitized which was a bummer. The cast iron skillet was rusty and had a layer of something in it.
I tried to communicate to the host that a black slime had come out of the master bedroom bathroom tap but they didn’t even acknowledge that comment.
Overall if communication would have been better we would have looked over these shortcomings. We hope the host addresses these issues because the house itself is in a great location.
We stayed at the house for my son’s graduation from SOU. The house was comfortable and plenty big enough for all of us. The outside area was the best! Large yard area for everyone to sit, play games and enjoy the beautiful views.
We really enjoyed our stay! Everything with the home was great with lots of room for the kids to play, especially in the recent snow, which made it even more fun!!

Thank you for your stay. The Weaver's were great guests. They followed my guidelines for my home. I was happy they had snow for Christmas. Please come again.
Our family really enjoyed our stay at this ranch property. We were able to relax and enjoy family together time as well as visit Ashland and Jacksonville. All the bedrooms were comfortable and had plenty of storage space. Our grandson especially enjoyed the hot tub as well as our daughters!
Beautiful location with lots of room around property to enjoy. Love the huge hottub.

About the host
Hosted by Lindsay Eagar
I grew up on this cattle ranch. I love the beauty, wildlife, cattle, horses, the work, the spacious land, the feeling of serenity, the moments to just absorb the surroundings.
Why they chose this property
This home is a comfortable place to stay. It is an enjoyable site to view wildlife, cattle, and horses. The hot tub has a view of the mountains and pastures. There is a waterfall down the road and a reservoir. It is very relaxing yet close to Ashland, and Lithia Park. The Irvine and Roberts Winery, tasting room & vineyard is a short drive down the road. The Belle Fiore Event Center, Winery and Vineyard are also located close by. Both places are beautiful. You can visit downtown Ashland, the Plaza, and Lithia Park with their hiking trails, botanical gardens, and relaxing seating areas. Grizzly Peak has hiking trails. The Rogue River has jet boats, rafting, fishing, and parks. You can take in the activities in Jacksonville, visit Crater Lake then return here soak in the hot tub and relax. There is a waterfall and small lake/reservoir. You may drive down and park below the waterfall or by the lake. There are fish in the lake. You can enjoy the ranch without the chores. We are in our own little valley.
What makes this property unique
We are in the beautiful, but rustic SE vineyard area of Ashland. You also pass an apple orchard on your way to the ranch. Yet, I have kept the ranch very private. You are able to view cattle grazing, birds, wildlife, & feel the peace. There are horses that also roam the ranch. We are in our own valley on a private road. Emigrant Creek runs through the riparian area.
