My sister and i had a wonderful time staying in this sweet cottage. Located in a really nice neighborhood; we walked easily to the theaters, restaurants and Lithia Park. The floorplan of the cottage is great and it is very clean and cozy. A good kitchen and deck rounded out the place. We hope to be back next year.
The property was beautiful and just as described. We were rewarded with a kitty visit on the deck in the mornings while we drank our tea and coffee. Perfect distance from town, able to walk but not in all of the hubbub.
We had a lovely stay at this cottage and would stay here again for the 2 of us. It’s on the hill so about 3.5 blocks walk up or down hill to and from town. Fine for us. We ate in 3 out of 4 nights. Kitchen is well equipped but be aware the oven is a convect counter top oven and the stove is a 2 burner plug in. It worked for us and we used the BBQ which was great. There is a plug in skillet that worked well for eggs, browning potatoes and bacon. Gorgeous back deck with table for 4 and lots of shade from a huge tree. Highly recommend staying here.
We had a wonderful stay at the Ashland cottage. It’s located close to the theaters downtown, as well as some terrific restaurants. We are definitely coming back again.
Perfect-sized cottage on a quiet street - within walking distance of downtown (though it's a bit of a climb). Cottage was very clean and the hosts thought of everything - lots of details well-attended to. Definitely a return spot for us! Thanks!
This was our third time staying at the Ashland Cottage, and we have enjoyed every visit. The hosts, Margaret and Mark, are unfailingly friendly and accommodating. The cottage is very comfortable and stocked with necessities. And we love the fact that there are two bathrooms.
This was a perfect place for us while we explored Ashland! The B&B is beautifully appointed, clean, and very private - even though it's only 10-minute walk to the downtown area. Margaret was a lovely and responsive host. I hope to go back soon!
We love the location and peaceful property. Perfect walking distance to theatres and restaurants. The hosts have thought of everything to make the cottage perfect
The Ashland Cottage was just perfect for my wife and me: so well appointed, comfortable, and well located. We enjoyed the layout of the cottage with its loft-like upstairs bedroom with an enormous and gorgeous window. The neighborhood is quaint and safe as can be. Our walks to the Shakespeare Festival and all the downtown cafes and restaurants and quaint shops were easy. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Our stay was great.

Wonderful Home Base in Ashland
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Ashland Cottage. The cottage is well equipped and has a very nice feel. The layout works very well and everything is clean and well maintained. The hosts are very gracious and welcoming. We would not hesitate to stay again next time our travels take us to Ashland.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the "Ashland Cottage".
It was a beautiful home. It was impeccably clean, well decorated and had plenty of supplies ( towels, etc).
The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful.
A big window upstairs has an incredible view of the rooftops and mountains.
The owners are great. They are very good at communicating. They are also very friendly.

Comfort, privacy and great location!
All the reviews I read were right on about this place, a great spot in a great town. And on top of it, wonderful hosts to round out a perfect stay. Very comfortable, brand new house, clean and cozy. What a find in Ashland. While some houses that allow pets can feel and smell like a kennel, this one is super clean and is obviously very well attended. You won't be disappointed, young or old, pets or not, this is a great place to stay!!
The Ashland Cottage was superb--full of charm and warmth, just like its owners, Margaret and Mark. We loved the cottage itself--artsy and homey, tucked into the woods of Ashland, with a private deck and gorgeous views of hills. Margaret goes above and beyond, supplying visitors with every comfort of home (plus fresh eggs for our breakfast!). And the location is so peaceful and quiet--nothing but the occasional soft sound of the hens--yet it's walking distance to amazing restaurants, the OSF theatres, Southern Oregon U, the Ashland Food Co-op, and enchanting Lithia Park. I almost cried this morning when we had to leave--it was the perfect stay!
Beautiful cottage hidden on back alley with very nice finishings inside. Convenience to theatre, restaurants and shops. Easy arrival. Communicated via phone for arrival and departure as had no problems during three night stay. Very well kept & clean. Split level, bedroom upstairs with half bath, kitchen and full ( with tub ) bathroom down. Lovely stay.

Superb Location for Walkers
Very comfortable, airy and well stocked cottage in a pleasant and quiet neighborhood a few minutes "up the hill" from downtown and the theater complex. Virtually all of Ashland's attractions are within moderate walking distance even though the cottage is very removed from tourist traffic. Helpful and friendly hosts will engage as much, or as little, as guests prefer. My first choice for future Ashland visits!
This is the perfect location for walking around the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and downtown Ashland area. The loft has a great bed with beautiful views, and we enjoyed the bathroom up there. Really high quality finishes throughout. The sofabed, sadly, was super uncomfortable, so we don't recommend that for anyone staying longer than one night. Otherwise, the space easily accommodated 2 adults and 2 children.

Charming cottage
Compact, clean and beautifully designed cottage with great views, a comfortable bed set in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown. I was a little surprised to find an electric hot plate instead of a stove, but it was augmented by a toaster oven and microwave, so be prepared if you plan on cooking. The hosts made themselves easily available, yet gave us all the privacy we could ask for. We would love to return.

Great Property, great contact with the owner, few small changes would have made it perfection!
This was a great place to stay during our time in Ashland for OSF.
The cottage is lovely for two people, the bed very comfy, and the short distance to downtown is great. Property owner was awesome, good communication and setup.
There are a few small (really, super minor) things that didn't really detract from our stay, but would have been nice:
- The alley that you access the cottage (which is at the back of the owner's property) from is not paved. This didn't matter for driving, but as we walked many places, knowing this ahead of time would have changed what I packed as gravel and high heels really don't mix.
- While the back doors for accessing the porch do have curtains for them, the large bay window does not. As we were on vacation and would have liked it to be darker as we slept in, this wasn't great. It also means extra planning for every shower as our clothes were upstairs in the bedroom, but the shower is downstairs past said window. The robes provided were nice, but should not have felt like a requirement when just grabbing a shower.
- There is basically no lighting in the alley that you use to access the cottage. We, like many visitors I'm sure, were in town for the Shakespeare Festival and seeing evening plays. It would have been nice if some small flashlights (something that could fit in a purse) were provided so that we weren't trying to navigate in the dark.
So, in summary, really great place to stay for our week in Ashland. Will definitely be considering the property for future stays, but a few small adjustments would make it a 5-star guaranteed recommendation to anyone.
